Yi Tianyun coldly watched the surrounding Cultivators, all of them eyeing him like predators. These were all ruthless characters; without a show of force, he wouldn’t be able to intimidate them. Anyone who made it this far was no simpleton. More importantly, they were all vicious and capable of anything.

Killing a Core Condensation expert in a single, decisive move stunned everyone present. Ren Liangchen and his group, however, were unfazed. Given Yi Tianyun’s overwhelming power, dispatching a Core Condensation expert with ease was not unexpected. It was just that his sudden attack had caught them off guard.

"Who else wants Elixir Pills from me?" Yi Tianyun asked again, looking at the shocked crowd.

"Lu Feng, don’t blame me for not giving you face... Kill him!" one of the Core Condensation experts roared, his eyes instantly filled with killing intent. Three Core Condensation experts immediately lunged forward. They were clearly close with the expert who had just been killed.

The other Core Condensation experts went to check on their companion, wanting to see how serious the situation was.

Lu Feng’s gaze toward Yi Tianyun grew intrigued. He then turned to the Cultivators attacking Yi Tianyun and gave them a pitying smile.

Yi Tianyun showed no mercy. He shot forward to meet them, lashing out with his leg and sending them flying one by one. It only took a single kick for each of them. Before they could even react, they were slammed against the wall, then fell to the ground, motionless and devoid of life.

The three of them were killed instantly, without even a chance to beg for mercy. This time, Yi Tianyun didn’t hold back as he had before—letting those Core Condensation Cultivators off with their lives after a couple of laps in the water. He killed them outright, clean and decisive.

"You gave me Elixir Pills, so it was only right for me to help you out. But it seems you didn’t need my help after all." Lu Feng shrugged. "How about a proper introduction?"

He stood up again. Yi Tianyun’s strength had earned his respect, which was why he now wanted to get acquainted. Before, he had just seen him as a transient passerby, so he hadn’t bothered with introductions.

"Yi Yun," Yi Tianyun introduced himself simply.

"Lu Feng." Lu Feng smiled, then turned his head to the others and said, "What Yi said makes a lot of sense. Brains are a good thing; I hope you all have them. I told you before, don’t just try to bully everyone you see. If you pick a fight with the wrong person, you’ll really regret it. And now, look what happened. Didn’t I call it?"

The other Cultivators were furious but dared not say a word, swallowing their resentment.

"Lu," Yi Tianyun asked, "has anyone successfully made it across during this time?"

"Of course. A while ago, two people successfully crossed. Their cultivation wasn’t as high as mine, but they both made it..." Lu Feng shook his head and said, "It seems some technique is required. Cultivation is definitely necessary, but with the right technique, you can pass. It’s even easier if your Attributes are compatible with this place."

"Attributes... you mean the Dark Attribute?" Yi Tianyun mentioned a rather Rare Attribute. It was an exceptionally rare constitution, similar to a spatial physique.

"Yes, you could say that. Or rather, if you have a power that counters the energy here, it becomes relatively easy." Lu Feng glanced at the other Cultivators and said, "You all should just work hard. If you put in enough effort, you can still get across."

Lu Feng sent this last sentence via voice transmission. He clearly wanted to build a good relationship with Yi Tianyun; befriending a strong expert was a good thing for anyone.

Yi Tianyun turned to Ren Liangchen and his companions. "Are you ready? We’re about to start climbing. Do you have the confidence to make it across in one go?"

"Of course!" They nodded emphatically, all of them brimming with confidence.

The Cultivators watching from the side revealed sneering expressions, though their gazes were mostly filled with venom.

"They’re all dreaming. Do they really think they can climb it on their first try? So naive..."

"Heh heh, aren’t all newcomers this naive? When they fall back down, we’ll..."

"Just watch. I bet they won’t even make it fifty zhang!"

Their gazes were fixed on Yi Tianyun’s group, watching them with predatory intent. Of course, this was just a small portion of the crowd; the majority were merely spectators who’d had no intention of making a move from the start.

It wasn’t out of the question that they might try to take advantage of them later if they were in a bad spot, but that didn’t matter to him. Because he was going to succeed on his first try.

Soon, after Ren Liangchen and the others regulated their auras, they began to climb. The moment they started, tendrils of black energy immediately tried to burrow into their bodies, constantly eroding them.

Gritting their teeth, they climbed upward rapidly, not daring to linger.

Yi Tianyun was the last to start climbing. As soon as his hand touched the surface, he felt a power gush out from within and seep into his body, attempting to erode it.
