Chapter 886
Chapter 886
The following morning, Anton woke up early despite having stayed up late watching sitcoms through his Diablo System. Thanks to the Pearl of the Ocean, he could enjoy the benefits of a full night's rest after only three hours of sleep.
His thoughts drifted to the friends beneath the sea who had given him the pearl. He hoped the blue whales and pink dolphins were doing well and living peaceful lives in the vast ocean.
When he went downstairs intending to find a restaurant that served a traditional local breakfast, he was pleasantly surprised to find Paul and Eric already waiting for him.
He had expected their families to keep them busy gathering supplies for the voyage to Izmorta or selling the goods they had brought from the Gale Continent and the first island they had visited.
"When we told our fathers about everything we experienced with you yesterday," Paul explained, "and how humans normally aren't allowed to visit those places, they realized the only reason we received such privileges was that you traded with the elves. They agreed that this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and didn't want us to miss it."
Anton had to admit that exploring Meronoma was much more enjoyable with friends.
While they were talking, Mironor arrived to continue serving as their guide. He led them to a restaurant that had already opened for the day, and the breakfast it served was every bit as impressive as yesterday's meals.
"You told us that you've already stored an enormous amount of food in your spatial item," Eric said between bites. "Why do you keep buying more?"
Anton smiled.
"When I first obtained my spatial item, my family was poor, and the Undead Coalition had just invaded our kingdom. I realized that food was becoming scarce because everyone was fleeing while the undead destroyed everything living they encountered, including livestock and wild game."
He paused before continuing.
"Back then, I developed the habit of storing every bit of food and drink I could find. I wanted to make sure my family would never go hungry."
"Fortunately, my spatial item was altered by my bloodline magic and became extraordinarily large. I could keep collecting supplies without worrying about running out of space."
"Later, after I started earning money through magic-item crafting and dungeon expeditions, I gradually replaced everything with the finest food and drinks I could buy. By now, I probably have enough stored to live comfortably for decades."
"You weren't born into a noble family, Sir Sunder?" Mironor asked.
"Please, just call me Anton."
He smiled.
"No, my father told me our family had been farmers for generations. Occasionally, one of our ancestors would become a mercenary, but they always returned home to farm afterward."
Anton shrugged.
"However, I suspect that somewhere far back in our family tree, one of our ancestors was an exceptionally powerful wizard who altered our bloodline. The bloodline magic that awakened within me was extraordinarily powerful and made me strong in a very short time. The same thing happened to my father and my sister."

"I believe the hardships we experienced awakened our bloodline."
As always, Anton continued presenting his Diablo System as bloodline magic.
"So... we shouldn't call you 'Sir'?" Eric asked in surprise.
Paul immediately smacked his forehead.
"You idiot. Someone who reaches Anton's level as a wizard in Ormunda is automatically recognized as a noble."
He continued before Eric could interrupt.
"And don't forget everything he did during the war against the Undead Coalition. There's a reason the Melinda pays for all of his expenses."
Anton nodded.
"I was also granted a noble title by the Kingdom of Zalnothel in Rendindura, although that probably doesn't matter anymore since the kingdom was destroyed by the Undead Coalition."
"I also believe Ormunda officially ennobled me."
He smiled.
"Still, Paul is right. In Ormunda, any wizard who reaches a sufficiently high rank is automatically considered a noble. Since my father's and sister's magical ranks also increased after our family's bloodline awakened, they became nobles as well."
"I've also heard from some of the crew that your family is incredibly wealthy," Paul added. "Not just because of the cinema, but because all of your businesses have been successful."
Anton simply shrugged.
Rather than dwell on the topic, he turned toward Mironor.
"So, how are the preparations for tonight's temporary cinema?"
"They're going very well," Mironor replied enthusiastically. "Many of my friends and relatives are helping."
He smiled broadly.
"We're expecting to earn a great deal from the event, but more importantly, everyone is excited to finally watch the films. Those who visited Ormunda wouldn't stop talking about them. We've heard so much that we're eager to see them for ourselves."
He looked at Anton.
"Will you be joining us?"
"I might stop by for a few minutes," Anton answered. "But I won't stay for the entire screening. Watching all three movies takes over seven hours, and I've already seen them too many times."
"I want to watch them again," Eric muttered.
Paul immediately began scolding his cousin.
"Not only have we already seen them, but our fathers would never allow us to disappear for seven hours at night just to watch movies we've already watched."
After breakfast, Mironor resumed their tour of Meronoma, guiding them to many of the island's most beautiful and unique attractions.
They paused only when noon arrived to enjoy lunch.
Anton smiled when Mironor led them to a restaurant with private dining booths.
He knew exactly why.
Their elven guide was still embarrassed by the way the three human youths attacked every meal they were served, eating as though they had been starving for days.
Mironor had also noticed another of Anton's habits.
Whenever Anton truly enjoyed a restaurant's food, he ordered large quantities to store inside his inventory for future meals.
If he left without purchasing extras, it meant he considered the food merely acceptable.
The biggest surprise of the day came when Mironor brought them to an amusement park.
Anton had never expected to find one on the Island of Meronoma.
The park contained many of the attractions found in old-fashioned amusement parks on Earth, including mechanical rides.
Although the technology was nowhere near as advanced as Earth's modern parks, Anton was nevertheless impressed.
The three young men spent hours enjoying every attraction they could find.
Anton happily treated Paul and Eric to whatever food, games, or rides they wanted. Fortunately, everything was inexpensive, and many of the expenses were paid by Mironor as part of the hospitality extended to Anton after his trade agreement with the beautiful elven merchant he had met upon arriving in Meronoma.
Even now, Anton couldn't help smiling whenever he thought about the island's name.
Meronoma.
For some reason, it still sounded to him like the name of a disease.
Throughout the day, his Globe of Browser Sharing faithfully recorded every memorable sight.
Later, Anton planned to edit the footage and show it to his father and sister after returning to Rose Manor the following day.
Anders and Anna already knew he would be coming home.
Anna had even obtained permission from her magic academy to spend a few days at Rose Manor.
Ordinarily, students were not allowed to leave so freely.
However, because of Anton's immense contributions to Ormunda during the war, the academy was more than willing to make an exception to ensure that one of the kingdom's greatest heroes remained satisfied with his sister's education.
