WHOOSH!

The spear shot through the air.

Roderic’s eyes widened instantly.

’Fuck!’

There was no time left.

He immediately forced as much aura as possible through his entire body.

For a second, the massive engraving on his chest lit up through his clothes.

’’ARGH!’’

Roderic roared as he forced his arms down.

At the same time, he slammed his head back with all his might.

CRACK!

The back of Roderic’s head smashed straight into the brute’s face.

’’GAH!’’

Blood burst from the man’s nose as his grip weakened for a moment.

Roderic reacted immediately, finally tearing himself free.

But the spear was already there.

SWISH!

’’Fuck!’’

The spearhead sliced across his side just as Roderic dropped towards the ground.

Thud!

He landed hard on one knee, blood already beginning to soak through his clothes.

But there was no time to worry about it.

Roderic immediately pushed himself back up.

His eyes locked onto the traitorous knight.

’’You bastard...’’ he muttered through gritted teeth.

He picked up his second blade, fury flashing through his eyes.

Before he could move, Roderic heard something rushing towards him from behind.

Roderic spun around instantly, knowing it was the smaller man.

The man had abandoned his broken sword entirely, charging forward with his shield raised.

Roderic swung his blade through the air instantly, his aura gathering at the tip.

CLANG!

The tip slammed straight into the shield.

In an instant, the entire shield dented before shattering completely.

The man’s eyes widened in horror.

But Roderic didn’t stop.

His second blade swung out horizontally towards the man’s head.

SHHK!

It sliced through his head, severing his brain from the rest of his body.

The smaller man collapsed back, his eyes still wide open.

Roderic didn’t spare him another glance, though.

Instead, he’d already focused back on the brute.

WHOOSH!

Without hesitation, he hurled one of his hooked blades towards the brute.

But with no weapon... there was nothing the man could do.

SCHLK!

It buried itself deep into the brute’s face.

His massive body immediately went limp before crashing onto the ground.

THUD!

Roderic stepped towards the corpse without a thought.

He’d barely retrieved his blade when he heard a shout behind him.

’’DIE!’’

WHOOSH!

Another spear shot towards his back.

But this time, Roderic was ready.

CLANG!

He spun around, catching the spear with the hook of one blade.

The traitorous knight’s eyes widened.

Roderic twisted the spear aside before bringing his other blade down.

CRACK!

Despite the aura covering the spear, its shaft easily snapped in half.

He didn’t even need to use a move for it!

’’Margaret sends her regards, huh?’’ Roderic said, turning around.

His eyes locked onto the knight.

’’Don’t worry. She’ll be joining you in hell soon enough.’’

Roderic paused for a moment as he let out a single chuckle.

’’You can give her my regards there!’’

The knight’s expression immediately twisted.

’’You little bastard!’’

He threw the broken spear aside and reached for the sword at his waist.

Roderic didn’t give him the chance.

Stepping forward, one of his hooked blades flashed through the air.

SHHK!

’’AAAHHH!’’

Both of the knight’s hands dropped to the ground.

The knight stumbled back, staring in horror at the bloody stumps left behind.

’’MY HANDS! FUCK! MY HANDS!’’

Roderic watched him for a moment.

’’Where did all that confidence go?’’ he asked, tilting his head slightly.

’’AAAAARGH!’’

The man didn’t even seem to hear him.

Roderic waited another second before his expression flattened.

’’Tsk.’’ He shook his head. ’’So much for that.’’

For a moment, he glanced past the screaming man.

Everywhere around him, the battlefield had been thrown into utter chaos.

One of his knights already lay dead on the ground, while several others were fighting with visible injuries.

Only now did Roderic realize there hadn’t just been one traitorous knight.

Three more knights had started fighting alongside the attackers.

At the same time, there were also still the archers lurking behind, constantly firing arrows.

Roderic’s expression darkened instantly.

Excluding the archers, his remaining knights were fighting two people at once.

He needed to change the battlefield right now.

’’SOLDIERS!’’ he roared. ’’ATTACK THE ARCHERS!’’

At the same time, he sprinted towards the nearest knights.

As he ran forward, the attackers were stunned for a moment.

One glanced back at his companions.

’’The Captain failed!’’ he shouted loudly. ’’We’ll need assi—’’

Before he could continue, a wide blue arc flashed past his stomach.

The man’s expression shifted slightly.

’’H-huh?’’

A second later, his upper body slid off his lower body, having been severed cleanly.

Roderic had already moved on.

His eyes locked onto the next knight, standing stunned a few feet back.

The man immediately snapped out of his daze.

He just barely managed to raise his sword as Roderic reached him.

CLANG!

Roderic’s first blade knocked aside the sword with a burst of aura.

His second blade followed immediately.

SHHK!

The hooked blade tore straight through the man’s neck.

Only two seconds later, the man’s body collapsed.

Roderic’s gaze immediately flickered to the knight at his side.

’’Go help the others,’’ he commanded.

The knight, still out of breath and covered in gashes, nodded.

’’Yes, young master!’’

He turned and rushed towards the nearest fight.

Roderic did the same.

Despite feeling his aura draining away with each move, he knew he needed to push on now.

The only way to win was by not wasting time here.

’There are still nine enemy knights left,’ he thought, dashing forward. ’Excluding me... I still have five knights alive on my side.’

By now, however, the remaining attackers had realized exactly what was happening.

’’Forget them!’’ one of the knights suddenly shouted. ’’Kill the Whitemane!’’

Several knights immediately broke away from their fights.

’’Young master!’’

In each of the two-on-one fights, one knight broke away while the other remained behind to keep the Whitemane knight occupied.

Within seconds, four knights were rushing straight towards Roderic.

Roderic’s eyes swept across them.

Instead of retreating, he tightened his grip on both blades and rushed straight towards them.

’Let’s even the numbers.’
