As an old apartment complex, there technically was property management here.

However, their responsibilities were limited to guarding the entrance and cleaning the hallways.

Things like landscaping and greenery were completely ignored.

Because of that, there were almost no flower beds within the complex.

The only plants were those grown by residents themselves.

There were a few trees planted beside the parking area, but that only resulted in cars constantly being covered in bird droppings.

It was so bad that Joo Joowon did not even dare leave his electric scooter outside anymore.

Without hesitation, Joo Joowon fired out spider silk and swung toward the parking lot.

At the same time, he felt a wave of regret.

If only he had not allowed Byeol to go out alone.

Zombie Virus Immunity Serum were only effective if injected within one hour of infection.

After that time limit passed, whether they worked or not would depend entirely on luck.

"Byeol!"

Joo Joowon immediately began calling out nearby, completely ignoring whether there were still zombies in the area.

Any zombie foolish enough to approach him was instantly dealt with by a single arrow.

He continued walking while calling out as he went.

After only a few minutes, Joo Joowon heard a loud and clear cat cry in the distance.

He immediately rushed toward the sound.

White cats had a relatively high chance of being deaf.

Byeol was not deaf, but he seemed to have inherited his mother’s habit of having an extremely loud voice.

The only reason he sounded soft and cute around Joo Joowon was because he deliberately acted spoiled.

The moment Joo Joowon arrived, he immediately spotted Byeol.

The white cat was sitting elegantly beside several corpses.

His white fur was spotless and immaculate, making it look as though he had never hunted anything at all.

The moment he saw Joo Joowon arrive, he slowly stretched lazily, raised his tail high into the air, and circled around Joo Joowon’s legs once before letting out a soft cry.

"Meow~ Meow~ Meow~"

Human servant! Look at the prey I caught for you!

Joo Joowon immediately picked Byeol up and carefully examined his mouth.

Everything was clean and white.

There was no blood staining the fur around his mouth, nor did it look damp as if he had recently washed his face.

Only then did Joo Joowon finally let out a sigh of relief.

"You scared me to death!"

Byeol tilted his head in confusion.

"Meow?"

Why does it look like he’s about to cry from being moved?

Byeol suddenly felt a little guilty.

Ever since following Joo Joowon home, he had almost completely stopped hunting.

After all, he had discovered that delicious food would appear no matter what he did.

As a result, he had simply spent every day waiting for Joo Joowon to come back from hunting and feed him.

He had never expected Joo Joowon to be this touched by such a simple gesture.

If he had known, maybe he would have worked harder and hunted more often.

Being a human servant wasn’t easy either.

After putting Byeol back down, Joo Joowon finally turned his attention toward the corpses of the zombie birds.

Birds usually traveled in flocks.

They were difficult to hunt and existed in large numbers.

Yet only a handful of corpses remained scattered across the ground.

Clearly, the rest of the zombie birds had escaped, leaving only these unlucky few behind.

But zombies were creatures driven purely by instinct.

Since when did they know how to run away?

Joo Joowon did not think too deeply about the matter.

After all, there was no reason why a bird flock could not contain an elite monster or even a lord level creature.

What seemed stranger to him was that no battle appeared to have taken place.

Still, as long as Byeol was unharmed, nothing else really mattered.

He looked down at the corpses on the ground.

There were no beams of light marking equipment drops.

Only a single card had fallen onto the pavement.

Joo Joowon bent down and picked up the lone card.

At that exact moment, he suddenly felt as though someone was watching him.

His gaze immediately snapped toward the source of the feeling.

Behind a large tree, a round cat head cautiously peeked out.

The moment it realized Joo Joowon had noticed it, it jumped in fright and immediately hid back behind the tree.

Only then did Byeol seem to remember something.

He let out several meows toward Joo Joowon before walking over to the tree.

After communicating with the hidden creature for a short while, a large and sturdy tabby cat slowly emerged from behind the tree.

The cat walked over while carrying a half eaten zombie bird in its mouth.

Then it carefully placed the bird in front of Joo Joowon and let out a quiet little meow.

The cat actually seemed a little shy?

Joo Joowon looked at the bird feathers hanging from the tabby’s mouth and then at its crossed eyes, his expression becoming rather complicated.

You actually eat that?

Putting aside the obvious look of complete foolishness in its eyes, the fat tabby actually looked quite imposing.

It was broad and sturdy, with white paws and a white chest.

It was not simply fat either.

Beneath its thick fur, powerful muscles could vaguely be seen beneath its sturdy forelimbs.

At a glance, it was obvious that its combat ability was far from weak.

What stood out even more was that the tabby’s brow ridge was more prominent than that of ordinary cats.

Because of this, its fluffy face looked permanently as though it were frowning.

As long as one ignored the eyes and imagined it wearing sunglasses, it immediately gave off the aura of some underworld boss.

After thinking for a moment, Joo Joowon extended his hand toward the tabby so it could sniff him, while simultaneously glancing at Byeol, uncertain what kind of relationship existed between him and this massive cat that was nearly twice his size and not much smaller than a small dog.
