This one was in much better condition than the previous one.

Although there was still broken glass scattered across the floor, many of the fish tanks remained intact.

There were no living creatures left inside, but half-eaten fish carcasses could be seen lying on the ground.

Hwi immediately charged forward and began devouring them like a madman.

Byeol wasn’t hungry.

It found a relatively clean spot and wanted to lick its paw pads, but after smelling the unpleasant odor, it quickly lost interest.

Instead, it stretched lazily and jumped onto the counter, pacing around several fish tanks.

Which fish should Byeol bring back for its human servant?

As it was still hesitating, Hwi had already finished inhaling half a fish and looked over with obvious interest for more.

Byeol jumped back down to the floor and glanced outside through the doorway.

At that moment, it finally remembered something.

It’s human slave seemed to have eaten food that looked like this before.

Byeol couldn’t help but think that the two legged creature outside had better not ruin it.

Otherwise, how was it supposed to bring it home?

The two monsters fought fiercely.

The mutated crab’s shell was an incredibly sturdy suit of armor, but the layer of mucus covering the catfish monster’s body made it impossibly slippery.

As a result, neither side could gain the upper hand for quite some time.

At the critical moment, however, the catfish monster finally gained the advantage.

With a flick of its tail, it leaped onto the mutated crab’s back.

Its webbed fingers grabbed hold of the mutated crab’s massive pincers, leaving the mutated crab unable to flip itself over for a moment.

The mutated crab flew into a rage and desperately shook its body, trying to throw the mutated catfish off.

When that failed, it simply started slamming itself into the walls.

The mutated catfish clearly wasn’t nearly as durable as the mutated crab, and before long it had no choice but to jump off.

Byeol and Hwi hid nearby and watched the show unfold.

The two mutated fish fought with everything they had, neither willing to retreat.

In the end, the mutated crab’s hard shell gave it the final advantage.

Finding an opening, it successfully dismembered the mutated catfish.

As the mutated crab lifted pieces of the mutated catfish toward its mouth, Byeol turned its head and signaled toward Hwi.

Hwi immediately leaped into the air.

Its fat and round body rapidly expanded in midair.

Its weight skyrocketed from a mere fifteen pounds to well over three hundred pounds in an instant.

Then its came crashing down directly onto the mutated crab’s body.

Crack!

The mutated crab’s eight walking legs instantly collapsed beneath the tremendous weight.

Its chest plate slammed flat against the ground, compressing the fragile organs hidden inside its body.

The mutated crab’s shell was incredibly hard, but only its back armor was truly durable.

Its underside remained its weak point.

Fortunately for it, its low body made that weakness difficult for enemies to exploit.

However, Hwi had descended from above.

The moment he came crashing down, the sense of pressure became overwhelming.

The sheer weight Hwi brought with it was astonishing, almost like being struck by a falling object from high above.

The sensation was difficult to describe with words.

The instant the mutated crab raised its front limbs, Byeol seized the opportunity and charged forward, slashing directly at the mutated crab’s eyes.

The mutated crab immediately began wildly swinging its two intact pincers, trying to attack Byeol.

Unfortunately for it, because it could no longer move, the pincers could only wave around uselessly in the air.

Hwi shook its body and stepped directly onto the joint of one of the pincers.

Another sharp crack echoed out.

After fighting the mutated catfish for so long, the mutated crab had ultimately emerged victorious, but it had clearly exhausted most of its strength in the process.

By now it could barely muster much force at all.

As a result, in front of Hwi, it appeared unusually weak.

Two more cracking sounds rang out as the joints snapped under the pressure, causing both pincers to droop limply onto the ground.

Seeing this, Hwi’s body immediately shrank back to its original size.

Hwi was so hungry that it was beginning to feel dizzy and it stared at the mutated crab while drooling uncontrollably.

Byeol immediately kicked its head.

The kick sent Hwi tumbling over toward the mutated catfish.

Hwi wasn’t picky about food.

As long as it was edible, it would eat it.

Conveniently enough, the mutated catfish had already been chopped into pieces by the mutated crab’s pincers, making it much easier to chew and requiring far less effort from its teeth.

Byeol sat beside the mutated crab.

Although the mutated crab wasn’t dead yet, all of its walking legs had been broken and its eyes had been destroyed.

It was completely unable to move.

At this point, it was no different from being dead.

Byeol guarded this piece of prey while waiting for Hwi to finish eating.

It lowering its head to lick it fur.

With the sounds of the two monsters fighting now gone, the market quickly fell silent once more.

Hwi continued tearing into the mutated catfish with loud chomping noises.

Before long, both of its fluffy paws had become stained a filthy dark red.

It dug deeper and deeper into the mutated catfish’s body, charging forward with unstoppable momentum.

Driven by its instinctive craving for energy, it finally found the core hidden within.

While licking the blood from the corner of its mouth, Hwi crushed the core between its teeth with several loud crunches before swallowing it whole.

Its narrowed its eyes in satisfaction.

Every transformation placed an enormous burden on Hwi’s body.

Only by replenishing itself with enough energy could it avoid feeling hungry afterward.

Fortunately, when it came to searching for food, Hwi possessed an abundance of experience gained from going hungry.

There was no helping it.

It simply ate too much.

For a cat of its size, hunting very small animals often wasn’t worth the effort.
