Chapter 85: Lucky Star
Without hesitation, he closed the Trading Hall.
There was nothing he urgently needed to buy right now.
As for the things he truly wanted, they were simply unavailable.
He wanted to fill every slot in his equipment panel.
Unfortunately, nearly every piece of equipment listed by players was only available through item exchanges.
The few pieces offered for direct sale were ridiculously expensive.
Even worse, he lacked the resources that sellers were asking for in return.
Rather than staring at equipment he could not afford and making himself miserable, he would rather take advantage of the remaining daylight and continue transporting supplies.
However, before he had managed to move more than a few items, a private message notification suddenly appeared.
Because far too many players contacted him every day, Joo Joowon had long since enabled Do Not Disturb mode for private messages.
If the game had included an option to reject messages entirely, he probably would have activated it without hesitation.
Otherwise, he would simply drown beneath an endless sea of notifications.
That said, Joo Joowon did not ignore every message completely.
He had configured several keyword filters to ensure that truly useful information would still reach him.
So, he opened the message.
[ @BlessedByRNG: Boss, can you tell me how you leveled up so quickly? I’ll give you 5 pieces of equipment in exchange for information. ]
Joo Joowon looked at the equipment screenshots attached to the message.
Then he looked at the sender’s level and ID.
For a long moment, he fell completely silent.
The other party was only Level 2.
That meant they had probably killed around fifteen zombies at most.
Yet not only were they already wearing at least five pieces of equipment, they could even casually produce another five pieces for trade.
Was that actually reasonable?
Wasn’t this drop rate a little too ridiculous?
The ID of this so called @BlessedByRNG did not even have a number attached to the end of it.
And this was definitely not some obscure or unpopular username.
How in the world had he managed to claim the very first one?

Even Joo Joowon knew that the drop rate for beginner equipment was not particularly low, but wasn’t this a little too outrageous?
When he thought back to his own recent drops, Joo Joowon could not help but feel the cruel gap between people in this world.
Although he felt slightly sour about it, Joo Joowon still immediately reached out and took one of the Beginner Rings from the equipment list that @BlessedByRNG had posted.
This guy was unbelievably generous.
He had directly posted links to all five pieces of equipment in advance, and they were even listed under designated trade conditions.
In other words, if Joo Joowon really wanted to, he could simply take all five pieces.
Of course, if he actually did that, he would be cutting off his own future opportunities.
Even though Byeol could temporarily increase his luck, there was still a huge difference between a temporary luck buff and someone who was permanently lucky by nature.
Besides, Joo Joowon had no idea what the cooldown time on Byeol’s skill actually was.
No matter what, just based on this person’s generosity alone, Joo Joowon had already decided that this friendship was worth making.
And if this guy really was a genuine lucky star, then as long as he stayed alive, he would definitely continue obtaining all sorts of valuable items in the future.
Making friends with someone like that could only be beneficial.

However, if you don’t fully understand the situation, I wouldn’t recommend accepting Hidden Quests lightly. Hidden Quests can sometimes force players to accept them automatically, and if the quest appears on a person, then the direction of the quest will usually be connected to that person’s obsession or regret before death. At the moment, I can’t confirm whether the 100 experience points are guaranteed or whether the reward scales based on the quest difficulty. Another option is killing high level zombies or bosses. Right now, most high level bosses seem to have gained levels much faster than they have gained skills, so there is still room to outsmart them rather than fighting head on. If you have access to firearms or other ranged weapons, you can try challenging one. The game doesn’t restrict kill methods. As long as you participate in the battle yourself, you still have a chance to receive experience rewards. ]
BlessedByRNG took a while before replying.
It seemed that he was not only trading with Joo Joowon but also busy dealing with other players at the same time.

Joo Joowon found that a little strange.
Were there really places left where zombies were so rare that people could not even find any to kill?

A villa district?

Surely there should still have been security guards, property management staff, and other people around.

Security guards usually patrolled in pairs, which would definitely make things more troublesome.

After all, exchanging a single piece of equipment for just that small amount of information was honestly a bad deal for the other side.

If BlessedByRNG asked additional questions, Joo Joowon had already decided that he would answer anything that was safe to answer.
Unexpectedly, BlessedByRNG asked a question that Joo Joowon had never anticipated.
