Chapter 213 - 210: Penta Kill and Godlike

In the game League of Legends, if the hero you’re controlling dies, the computer screen goes dim and turns gray, signaling that your character is dead. The screen’s color returns only when your character revives at the Resurrection Stone.

But Ye Xing’s screen had been bright the entire time; it hadn’t turned gray at all. This clearly meant the Barbarian King he was controlling had not died.

The little boy, startled, quickly pressed a key to check the kill count. "Haha, you really did kill their Platinum Level Barbarian King! You’re amazing!"

That whole chain of moves to claim first blood was executed in one flawless motion, a play that could be described as walking a razor’s edge. Any deeper, and he would have been in the turret’s attack range. Any slower, and the enemy Barbarian King would have retreated to the safety of his turret.

His timing was perfect, his execution and awareness practically in sync. Even Ye Xing himself was a little surprised. After all, when he used to play League of Legends, he was notoriously clumsy. And what did that mean? It meant he was a garbage player whose hands were always half a beat slower than everyone else’s.

Now, however, his operational speed was dazzlingly fast. Compared to before, it was a night-and-day difference. Thinking about it, Ye Xing couldn’t help but smile to himself. Previously, he was just an ordinary college student with average hand speed. But now, he was a Martial Artist at the Peak of the Martial Arts Fifth Realm. His physical conditioning was far beyond that of a normal person. His decision-making, neural reaction speed, and hand speed were all freakishly fast and couldn’t be measured by normal standards.

An average person needs time to press a key—maybe 0.2 seconds, or even 0.1 seconds. But the time it took for Ye Xing to press a key was a mere 0.01 milliseconds—no, not even 0.01 seconds—it was practically negligible. In other words, the moment his mind issued a command, the action was already being executed in the game. His reaction speed was on a Heaven-defying Level. That was why the enemy Barbarian King, who had been trying to retreat to his turret, was killed by Ye Xing before he could even react.

"So damn cool! You even killed their Platinum Level Barbarian King. But you’re low on health, you should recall! The enemy jungler is probably going to gank you!" the little boy urged.

"It’s fine, I’ll just place a ward!" Ye Xing immediately placed a ward in the nearby brush to prevent a gank from the enemy jungler, ensuring he would spot them right away.

Just then, the minion wave arrived. Ye Xing immediately began controlling his Barbarian King, using his Great Saber to cut down minions.

Doran’s Sword had a 3% lifesteal effect. After last-hitting a few minions, he smoothly hit Level 2. That, combined with the healing from his Barbarian King’s Q ability, meant that by the time the enemy Barbarian King revived and returned to the lane, Ye Xing’s health bar was already one-third full.

And so, the two began a new round of confrontation.

Having given up first blood right at the start, the enemy Barbarian King was clearly salty. Seeing that Ye Xing’s Barbarian King was low on health, he constantly looked for an opportunity to go in for the kill. And so, the two began trading blows while farming minions, engaging in a fierce struggle.

...

「In a room in a villa complex in City XX.」

A young man sat before his computer, eyes glued to the screen. He was covered in sweat, his expression grave and tense. The mouse in his hand moved ceaselessly, clicking away—CLICK, CLICK, CLICK. He didn’t even have time to drink the cup of coffee on his desk.

Finally, several minutes passed.

"Fuck, I died again! Jesus, is that Barbarian King on the other team really Bronze Level? He feels scarier than a Diamond player. He must be some god-tier player on a smurf account. Waaah, I’m getting completely wrecked!" The young man threw his mouse aside and slumped dejectedly in his chair.

On his monitor was the unmistakable game screen of League of Legends’ Summoner’s Rift, only it was gray—announcing that the character he was playing had died.

...

「Ice Sea Xingyu Internet Cafe」

The decor was magnificent, with hundreds of LCD computers lining the room. Many people sat before them, either watching movies or playing games. The cafe was busier at night, filled with men and women, forty-something uncles and ten-year-old kids, though the majority were, of course, young adults.

Ye Xing sat before his computer, now moving the mouse, now tapping the keyboard, his fingers moving so nimbly they seemed to fly.

To be fair, the enemy Platinum Level Barbarian King was actually pretty skilled. In the past, Ye Xing would have definitely lost his nerve.

But now...

Feeling how nimble his fingers were, Ye Xing was filled with confidence. ’From noob to expert, I’m a completely different person now.’ His hand speed was countless times faster, his micro was exceptionally precise, and his ability combos were flawless.

’Destroy the top lane!’

His fingers flew across the keyboard, leaving behind a trail of afterimages. The perfectly smooth execution felt incredible, making Ye Xing want to shout in exhilaration.

After dying three times in a row, the enemy Platinum Level Barbarian King no longer dared to show his face. He turtled completely under his own turret, fearfully and cautiously last-hitting minions.

His cautious farming was naturally much less efficient than Ye Xing’s. With incomparably precise control, Ye Xing turned every single enemy minion into Gold Coins for his Barbarian King, not missing a single one.

Seeing the massive gap in the top lane, the enemy jungler tried to gank twice. But after feeding two kills to Ye Xing, he never dared to harass the top lane again.

Ten minutes later, Ye Xing’s items were far superior to the enemy Barbarian King’s. The time was ripe. He dived under the turret to kill him, destroyed the outer top-lane turret, and then began to join team fights.

Peach Garden Lone Star Sword is on a Killing Spree! Peach Garden Lone Star Sword is on a Rampage! Peach Garden Lone Star Sword is Dominating! Peach Garden Lone Star Sword is Godlike!

Under Ye Xing’s leadership, his team completely crushed their opponents.

"Holy shit, you’re incredible!"

"666666!"

"You’re a god! A Barbarian King with 23 kills and 0 deaths? Never seen that before!"

His teammates cried out in amazement.

Ye Xing simply typed "Heh," hiding his accomplishments and fame.

Game two.

Ye Xing picked the jungle monk.

This game was just as effortless. Thanks to his roaming, all three enemy lanes were completely demolished.

They won easily in less than ten minutes.

Third game: victory—

Fourth game: victory—

Fifth game: victory—

Ye Xing was completely immersed in the pleasure of stomping noobs. The announcements for ’Double Kill,’ ’Triple Kill,’ ’Quadra Kill,’ and ’Penta Kill’ rang out constantly.

They won every single game with ease. The shortest matches were over in ten minutes, and even the longest ones didn’t last twenty. It was an uninterrupted winning streak.

"Bro, you’re a beast! We’ve won six games in a row now. Having a god on the team really makes a difference. Hahaha, this is awesome, so awesome! I’m on cloud nine!"

The little boy was so excited he was flailing his arms and yelling. In the middle of his celebration, suddenly—

CRACK!

A bamboo cane struck him squarely across the back.

"Ow! That hurts! Who the fuck hit me?!"

Furious, the little boy turned to look, only to panic completely. "Mom... W-why are you here?!"

"’Who the fuck hit you?’ You’re asking who the fuck hit you? Your mom hit you! You little bastard, you lied about needing allowance for school supplies, but you were really sneaking off here to play games! Watch and see if I don’t beat you to death!" The woman was furious, whipping the little boy again and again with the cane.

"Ahh, that hurts, Mom! Stop hitting me! It’s the first time I’ve been on a winning streak, just let me play one more game! I swear I won’t play anymore after this, I promise!"

"What! You still want to play? I’ll whip you to death, you little brat!" The woman was livid, and the whipping sent the little boy jumping and howling in tears.

Then she dragged him, kicking and screaming, out of the internet cafe.

’Haha, what a kid,’ Ye Xing thought.

He shook his head with a small smile and prepared to start the next game.

But then, just at that moment—

RING-A-LING! "You’re my little, little apple, like the most beautiful cloud in the sky..."

The ringtone from the phone in his pocket suddenly went off.

(The third Chapter update will be out later. I’ve already written more than half of it, so it should be posted before midnight!)
