Chapter 34: Ice Sea New City
Ye Xing carried a bag of Demon Beast Meat, passed through the Purple Light Group Teleportation Gate, and once again appeared inside the ancient well of his ancestral home.
As soon as he returned to Earth, the phone in his pocket started beeping non-stop.
He opened his phone to see a long list of missed calls in his call log and over thirty unread messages in his inbox.
The messages came from many people: his second aunt, Zhu Dazhuang, his mom, his college classmates, as well as Chen Feng and Xu Qing. There were even multiple deposit notifications from the bank.
"Over four million earned in a month, nice!" Ye Xing glanced at the bank deposit notifications, closed the app, and then dialed Zhu Dazhuang’s number.
"Hey! Dazhuang!"
"Brother Xing, it really is you! I’ve been waiting forever for you to finally show up. Where on earth did you go on a business trip? You were gone for so long, and your phone was unreachable. The feed is almost gone, we can’t supply enough grass carp, and those hotel owners are hounding me like crazy..." Zhu Dazhuang’s voice on the other end was a mix of pleasant surprise and complaint.
"Haha, you sound like a scorned wife. Alright, I’m back now, aren’t I? If you have time, come over to my place. I’ll mix up another batch of grass carp feed right away," Ye Xing laughed.
"I do, I do! I’m just sitting around bored anyway. I’ll head over right now," Zhu Dazhuang said quickly.
After hanging up, Ye Xing immediately began to prepare the grass carp feed.
He got a cutting board from the kitchen, first chopping the Demon Beast Meat into a paste. Then, he added ginseng, angelica, and other Chinese medicinal herbs, along with a large amount of starch, mixing it all evenly at a one-to-one hundred ratio.
A moment later, a large bucket of grass carp feed was ready. He added the ginseng, angelica, and other Chinese medicinal herbs mainly to muddy the waters and prevent anyone from discovering the secret. After all, the grass carp feed was publicly marketed as a Chinese medicine formula. Adding some medicinal herbs made it difficult to notice anything special about the Demon Beast Meat. Just as he finished preparing the feed, a knock came from the main gate. Needless to say, it had to be that kid, Zhu Dazhuang.

"It’s in the kitchen. What’s your hurry, kid?" Ye Xing laughed. "There’s a whole big bucket!"
"That’s great! I mean, Brother Xing, you knew you were going on a business trip. Couldn’t you have mixed more feed beforehand? Do you have any idea how much money we lost out on? Those hotel owners were constantly on my case, so I had to keep limiting the sales of the grass carp, reducing it from two hundred fish a day all the way down to about a hundred."
"Alright, we’ll make the money we’re meant to make," Ye Xing said with a smile. "By the way, you have the contact numbers for all those owners, right?"
"I do, I have plenty! Twenty or thirty of them! Pretty much every decent hotel and restaurant in Luoxian County. They’re all fighting over how many grass carp they can buy, arguing so much my ears won’t stop ringing. Some even tried to bribe me to sell them a few extra fish, hehe." Zhu Dazhuang said excitedly, "Brother Xing, you have no idea! Immortal Flavor Old Fish is super famous now. Lots of people are coming from out of town, visiting our Luoxian County just to eat a meal of Immortal Flavor Old Fish. Business is absolutely booming; demand completely outstrips supply."
The explosive sales of Immortal Flavor Old Fish were well within Ye Xing’s expectations. It was also understandable that the hotels and restaurants in Luoxian County were fighting over the right to purchase them. "Mm," Ye Xing’s eyes glinted as he said in a low voice, "Dazhuang, contact those hotel and restaurant owners right now. Tell them I’m inviting them to lunch today to get together and discuss the allocation of Immortal Flavor Old Fish. Let’s set the location at Jinsheng Hotel!"
"You got it!" Zhu Dazhuang’s eyes lit up. He immediately pulled out his phone and started making calls.
Ye Xing also pulled out his phone and dialed the number for Huang Jinbao, the owner of Jinsheng Hotel, to give him a heads-up and ask him to arrange a private room.
Once the lunch meeting was arranged, Ye Xing boarded a bus to Luoxian County. He arrived half an hour later.
’It really is inconvenient not having a car!’
After getting off the bus, Ye Xing stood on the side of the road, watching the passing vehicles. Many of the taxis were already full. Just then, his eyes landed on an empty Little Flying Deer tricycle, and he quickly waved it down.
"Where to, little brother?" The tricycle stopped in front of Ye Xing.
"To Ice Sea New City!" Ye Xing said as he climbed in.
The tricycle slowly pulled away, heading toward Ice Sea New City.
Ice Sea New City was a newly developed district in Luoxian County. It was enormous, complete with all sorts of facilities and entertainment venues. Luoxian County’s only five-star hotel—Jinsheng Hotel—was located in Ice Sea New City. Coincidentally, Ye Xing’s family had also bought a home in Ice Sea New City District Five. That small, hundred-square-meter-or-so apartment had used up all of his parents’ savings, and they still had to take out a three-hundred-thousand-yuan loan from the bank.
Ice Sea New City was very close to the Luoxian County Passenger Station, and they arrived in less than six minutes.
Skyscrapers rose from the ground, and cars flowed back and forth along the wide, paved avenues.
Ye Xing checked the time. It was only nine in the morning, leaving two or three hours before the lunch meeting. He wasn’t in a hurry and decided to go home first, since it had been over a month since he’d last been back.
’I wonder if Mom and Dad are home. They’ve probably already left for work. Sigh, it’s not going to be easy to convince them to quit their jobs and rest at home later.’
Ye Xing got out of the tricycle and headed toward Building Six in District Five, carrying a small bag of Demon Beast Meat.
