Far below the towering Violet Palace, countless demons instinctively lifted their heads toward the heavens as the colossal pillar of dark violet aura continued piercing the skies above Velmora. Its overwhelming pressure spread across the capital like an endless tide, causing banners to flutter violently while windows rattled inside nearby buildings.

"Look!"

One young demon pointed upward excitedly. Another quickly followed his gaze before his face lit up with excitement.

"The Prince!"

"It’s the Prince’s aura!"

Within moments, the streets erupted into commotion. Merchants abandoned their stalls. Children climbed onto rooftops. Customers poured out from restaurants and taverns.

Everywhere Damian’s aura reached, demons stopped whatever they were doing to stare toward the heavens.

Many raised their hands enthusiastically toward the distant pillar while others excitedly exchanged words with complete strangers.

"Our Prince has awakened!"

"I knew the rumors were true!"

"The Sin of Lust has really returned!"

Cheers erupted throughout the streets as countless voices echoed through the capital. Then one demon’s smile slowly disappeared.

"Wait..." he muttered while narrowing his eyes.

"It’s getting closer."

Several nearby demons frowned.

"What do you mean?"

"The aura... It’s moving."

The cheering gradually faded as dozens of people squinted toward the heavens. Some rubbed their eyes before looking again while others shaded their vision with trembling hands.

The distant figure hidden within the violet light gradually became clearer.

Their expressions froze and their faces slowly turned pale.

"He..."

"He’s coming here..."

A strange silence swept across the street, then panic erupted.

"RUN!"

Hundreds of demons scattered in every direction.

Some overturned market stalls in their haste while others abandoned baskets, food and belongings entirely as they sprinted away.

Many had barely managed three steps.

Boom!

A terrifying shockwave exploded across the street.

The stone pavement cracked beneath its force. Glass windows shattered simultaneously as invisible pressure swept through nearby buildings.

Every fleeing demon was violently thrown off balance. Some rolled across the streets while others crashed into overturned stalls.

Tables, chairs and carts were blown apart before clattering loudly across the stone roads. Groaning in pain, everyone hurriedly lifted their heads.

Damian slowly descended from the sky.

His long black hair danced gently in the wind while elegant black and violet robes flowed around his towering frame. Standing well over twelve feet tall, he carried Rah effortlessly within one arm as though she weighed nothing at all.

Rah, meanwhile, seemed completely oblivious to everyone watching. Her azure eyes remained fixed solely upon Damian.

There was an unmistakable softness in her expression. Her lips curved into an absent minded smile while she quietly admired his face without the slightest embarrassment.

The crowd watched the exchange in stunned silence. No one had ever seen the usually composed Kasok princess looking so completely enchanted.

Thud.

The moment Damian’s feet touched the ground, the surrounding winds finally settled.

He calmly glanced across the street.

Demons of every imaginable race remained sprawled across the ground, staring toward him with expressions of unmistakable fear.

Nearby shops had suffered considerably. Wooden stalls had toppled over.

Fresh produce rolled freely across the streets. Broken pottery littered the ground while shattered glass reflected the sunlight in countless glittering fragments.

Damian quietly observed the damage.

"I need to hold back a bit more," he muttered with a slight frown.

Rah couldn’t help smiling. She lightly punched his chest.

"That’s exactly why I told you to slow down," she replied playfully. "Not everyone here is built like us."

Damian nodded in understanding.

The next moment, his eyes shone with brilliant violet light. Every knocked over object throughout the street suddenly trembled and lifted into the air.

Fallen tables floated upright.bScattered goods gracefully returned to their proper places upon market stalls. Even spilled baskets slowly gathered their contents before setting themselves neatly back where they belonged.

Within only a few seconds, the entire street looked nearly exactly as it had before Damian arrived.

The crowd could only stare, not a single demon dared utter a word. Many unconsciously held their breath while some expected a speech.

Instead, Damian simply turned toward Rah.

"So... Where’s the nearest restaurant?"

Rah blinked.

She instinctively struggled slightly within his arm, once again attempting to stand on her own feet but Damian paid absolutely no attention.

Her cheeks gradually flushed a deep crimson. Being carried through the capital by the Prince in front of thousands of spectators was becoming unbearably embarrassing.

"That’s actually what I wanted to tell you before you flew us out here," she answered nervously. "A feast has already been prepared inside the palace. A Prince shouldn’t be wandering around the city like this."

The surrounding demons collectively gasped. Their whispers instantly spread.

"It really is him..."

"The Prince..."

"The Sin of Lust..."

Damian didn’t even acknowledge them. He simply shook his head.

"I already told you, I want to get out of there. Now... Where’s the nearest restaurant?"

This time the crowd reacted even more dramatically. Several jaws literally dropped. Some demons exchanged bewildered looks.

The Prince wants to eat outside?

Rah bit her lip. She wanted to argue but she had already realized Damian had absolutely no intention of returning to the palace anytime soon.

"Well..."

Thud.

She stopped speaking midway as an elderly demon slowly approached through the silent crowd. Unlike most demons present, he appeared remarkably human.

Only his ash gray skin, small fork shaped tail and faintly pointed ears distinguished him.

Age had left a noticeable bald patch upon his gray hair while thin spectacles rested comfortably across his wrinkled face. He wore ordinary clothes beneath a well used cooking apron and relied upon an old wooden walking stick as he slowly approached.

Despite standing before one of the most powerful beings in existence...

He smiled warmly.

"It would be an honor," the old demon said respectfully while inclining his head, "to serve breakfast to Your Majesty, if you would have me."

Absolute silence descended and every eye widened. No one even dared breathe.

Did this old man truly just invited the Prince of Lust to eat inside his tiny neighborhood diner?

Many demons immediately imagined soldiers dragging him away for such outrageous disrespect.

Damian quietly shifted his attention toward the building behind the old man.

It was small and modest. Flower pots decorated its entrance. Several wooden tables rested beneath a shaded awning outside while warm aromas drifted gently from the kitchen.

There was nothing extravagant about it. It simply looked... Human.

A genuine smile appeared on Damian’s face.

"Alright," he said quietly. "I’ll give it a try."

The crowd exploded into uncontrollable cries of disbelief. No one could believe what they had just witnessed. Out of the countless magnificent banquet halls throughout Velmora, the Prince of Lust had chosen breakfast at a humble roadside diner!!!
