"What the hell are you talking about?" Hazel hissed, her voice carrying an unmistakable edge of hostility.

"Don’t bother asking him." Ruby snarled, her emerald eyes narrowing. "He’s just sprouting rubbish."

Despite the hostility radiating from both women, Corbin’s smile never faded beneath the white cloth concealing his eyes. If anything, the amusement lingering around his lips only deepened as he quietly observed their reactions. They looked exactly as he had expected.

"I did not come here to debate with the ungodly." Corbin said calmly. "I merely came to offer you a warning before I reclaim what your husband stole from me."

The words had barely left his mouth when the space behind him distorted violently.

Buzz!

The air folded inward as though reality itself had become liquid. A towering gate of pale white stone slowly emerged from the distortion, its surface covered in intricate golden engravings that shimmered beneath the morning sunlight. As the massive doors slowly swung open, the scenery beyond immediately became visible.

It was Damian’s mansion in California.

Hazel’s expression changed instantly. The confusion lingering in her eyes disappeared, replaced by naked fury as terrifying killing intent erupted from her body. Her seven fox tails flared outward while the air around her distorted beneath the pressure alone.

’Racheal.’

Ruby’s voice echoed telepathically.

’How is Damian?’

The response came almost immediately.

’He let the enemy trap him inside a domain.’ Racheal answered. Even through their mental connection, the uncertainty in her voice was unmistakable. ’I believe he’s fine... but something feels wrong.’

Hazel and Ruby exchanged another glance. Neither of them questioned Damian’s strength. That wasn’t what troubled them.

It was Corbin.

The priest had appeared before them without warning. He knew where Damian was and he definitely knew something they did not.

Worst of all, what if he wasn’t lying?

That single thought settled heavily inside both their hearts. If even a fraction of what he said proved true then remaining here would be the greatest mistake they could make.

Just what the hell was happening?

Meanwhile...

Far above Lebanon, Fulgur remained seated peacefully upon the currents of wind, watching the immense prison of lightning surrounding Damian. Dark violet demonic aura continuously battered the walls of the barrier, causing the entire structure to pulse rhythmically beneath the pressure.

Suddenly, a cold voice echoed directly inside his mind.

’Something has changed.’

The voice belonged to one of Kaizer’s remaining demigods.

’His wives are making their move. We will intercept them. Hurry.’

Fulgur’s expression never changed. He calmly continued observing the barrier.

’It is almost complete.’

His response remained composed.

’Do not allow them to interfere with my domain.’

’Understood.’

The mental connection disappeared immediately afterward.

Meanwhile...

In California.

Inside Damian’s mansion Rah sat quietly upon the edge of her bed with a gentle smile decorating her face as she carefully polished a framed photograph resting in her lap.

The picture had been taken during the Hale family court case. Damian stood confidently before the courthouse, his usual calm smile carrying a quiet confidence she never grew tired of admiring.

Despite spending only a single night together over a month earlier, the memory remained painfully vivid. She still remembered every smile and touch. The memory replayed endlessly within her dreams until she found herself unconsciously daydreaming about the next time she would finally have him all to herself.

Buzz!

Her smile vanished. The warmth inside her azure eyes disappeared instantly. Without hesitation, she rose from the bed and thrust her palm toward the enormous glass wall overlooking the estate.

Krasssh!

Thousands of shards exploded outward as the reinforced window shattered completely. Rah stepped through the opening without slowing, gracefully levitating into the open sky while her icy gaze fixed itself upon a single figure descending from above.

She wasn’t alone.

Below her, hundreds of demons inhabiting the bodies of the estate’s security personnel had already abandoned their patrols. Rifles rose toward the heavens in perfect unison while demonic energy quietly gathered around every position throughout the mansion grounds.

Inside the mansion, Loth, Clara and Linda instinctively approached the nearest windows overlooking the estate. Even the servants quietly gathered, every pair of eyes settling upon the lone figure floating peacefully above the mansion.

Corbin.

Three pairs of magnificent golden wings extended elegantly behind his back, each feather radiating soft divine light as they beat slowly against the wind. He quietly observed everyone gathering beneath him and his smile never disappeared.

"I come in peace, little demons." Corbin announced gently. "I have only come to reclaim that which was taken from me."

His gaze slowly drifted toward the upper floors of the mansion.

Specifically, toward Clara and Linda. Both women stared back with obvious surprise. Yet neither looked relieved.

Living inside Damian’s home had changed far more than either cared to admit. They still disagreed with many of Damian’s decisions, but they could no longer convince themselves he was simply evil. They had been treated with kindness, given freedom within the estate and shown respect they never expected from someone the Church labeled a monster.

Without realizing it they had begun feeling more like guests than prisoners. Corbin quietly noticed the hesitation within their expressions and his smile softened slightly.

"I see Damian has treated both of you well." He observed calmly. "Perhaps there is still a heart buried beneath all that evil after all."

"Who the hell are you?" Rah snarled, frost rapidly spreading across the air around her. "And why are you here?"

Corbin slowly shifted his attention toward her. One eyebrow rose beneath the cloth.

"Oh... He married another demon?"

He chuckled softly.

"Damian must be remarkably popular with women, both on Earth and in Hell. Then again he is the Sin of Lust."

Rah’s expression twisted violently. A mere human addressing her husband so casually as though they were equals was insulting.

Everything about the man standing before her screamed human. Yet everything else contradicted that conclusion. She could smell mortality and humanity but intertwined with both lingered unmistakable angelic divinity.

Two completely incompatible existences somehow occupied a single body.

Buzz!

Her eyes widened and lips parted. For several long seconds, words refused to come.

"A... Nephilim?"

The whisper escaped almost involuntarily.

Buzz!

Instantly, every demon present stiffened as concern spread across every face. Now everything finally made sense.

Only a being born between angel and human should possess such an impossible presence.

Rah stared at him with disbelief.

"But... I thought every Nephilim disappeared long ago."

Corbin quietly watched the realization spread across everyone’s faces. His playful smile remained exactly the same.

Slowly, he shook his head.

"I’m afraid you’ve misunderstood."

His voice remained calm.

"I am not the product of a union between angel and human. I was once completely human. The Prince of Lust murdered my angelic partner. So my body was surgically fused with his."

He looked toward every demon gathered below.

"So I am neither fully human nor fully angel. I am simply what remained."

Buzz!

Shock swept through everyone present, especially Linda. Her pupils contracted violently as she remembered. She had watched Damian kill Archangel Gilbert with her own eyes.

Afterward the Vatican recalled him immediately, and no one outside the highest ranks ever saw him again. She had imagined countless possibilities but never had she imagined that her partner would return as the first Nephilim to ever walk the Earth.

"It doesn’t matter what you are."

Rah hissed, every word dripping with undisguised contempt. Frost spread through the air around her as her azure eyes locked onto Corbin with murderous intent.

"This is my Lord’s territory on this backward planet. No angel ass licking cunt will set foot on it, so I suggest you turn around and leave."

The atmosphere around the mansion immediately became suffocating. Every demon below tightened their grip on their weapons while countless pairs of eyes remained fixed upon the towering Nephilim suspended in the sky.

Even Clara and Linda instinctively held their breaths as they watched the confrontation unfold.

Corbin slowly lowered his gaze toward her before gently shaking his head. There was no mockery in his expression, nor was there anger. His smile had simply softened into one carrying a hint of regret.

"I apologize... But that is one request I cannot fulfill."

The words had barely left his lips before he moved.

Swoosh!

Rah’s pupils contracted violently. Every instinct she possessed screamed at her.

Death.

It was not merely danger. It was the unmistakable certainty that if she reacted even a fraction too slowly, she would die. It felt as though the Grim Reaper itself had appeared behind her, calmly resting the edge of its scythe against her throat while waiting for permission to swing.

Her body instinctively tried to turn but it was too slow, Corbin had already appeared behind her. His hand tore through the air toward her exposed back. His fingers remained together, his palm flattened like the edge of a blade prepared to pierce straight through her heart.

Pa!

A restrained shockwave burst outward the instant his strike stopped.

The surrounding air rippled violently as though struck by an invisible hammer. Trees bent away from the impact while shattered glass scattered across the estate grounds beneath the pressure alone.

Rah finally completed her turn. Standing between herself and Corbin was a familiar figure dressed entirely in white. Long white hair drifted calmly behind him and a pristine white robe fluttered softly beneath the wind.

A flawless white mask concealed every trace of the upper-half or his face.

It was Faceless!

His lower body was still emerging from a narrow tear in space that hung silently behind him, the dimensional rift slowly sealing itself as reality knitted back together.

One of his hands firmly gripped Corbin’s wrist.

"I believe you heard my woman quite clearly. Leave." Faceless finally spoke, his voice carrying a coldness that rivaled the winter itself.

Behind him, Rah’s expression softened almost immediately. A faint blush crept onto her cheeks before she quickly looked away, silently cursing herself for allowing someone else to rescue her. Yet beneath the embarrassment lingered unmistakable relief. She knew exactly how close she had come to death.

Below, the demons erupted into loud cheers. The suffocating tension weighing upon every heart finally eased.

"He stopped him!"

"Our Lord is here!"

"We’re saved!"

Many had already accepted that charging Corbin would amount to nothing more than a collective suicide. Now standing before them was someone they genuinely believed could contend with the monster hovering above their home.

Even Loth quietly released a breath she hadn’t realized she had been holding. She had already reached the same conclusion as everyone else. No one inside this mansion possessed the strength necessary to stop Corbin, the xcept Faceless.
