Chapter 41: the plot against hydra
Logan was already at the venue by about 7:30. He made sure he had at least gotten a flower and had worn a nice dress before coming.
But to his surprise, Miss Stephanie was already there waiting for him.
It was like she was much more eager for the date than Logan was.
On seeing Logan she immediately beckoned for him to come over.
Logan was staring at her, and at that moment it looked like the world stopped moving, and deep down he felt it.
He really did have a lot of feelings for the woman over there.
At this point it might no longer be because of the money or because of the benefits attached to it.
After all, if not for the system he would have not been able to save her from the catastrophic life she had been living for the past year.
Miss Stephanie was dressed in a stunning black gown, her makeup being stunning.
Logan calmly walked up to the table.
At least after all this work he would finally be able to have some peace and quiet, but that in itself was a lie as he bumped straight into his own nemesis.
"Oh, so sorry about that," Logan quickly apologized before bending to pick up the items he had dropped in the scramble, but that’s when he discovered who exactly it was.
It was no other than Evelyn.
’Why on earth can’t I have peace of mind?’ Logan thought as he handed her the books and immediately tried to walk off, but Evelyn held him back.
"So you think you can now come barging into me for attention, right? Hope you know that is not happening, right?
Why on earth can’t you even move on? Are you so pathetic?" Evelyn questioned Logan. After all, she was there to meet Andrew for the talk of Hydra’s confidential information.
But Logan immediately tried walking past her immediately.
But she held him back and immediately gave him a hot slap.
"Look, no one walks out on me. I am the heir to the Rose Foundation. I can erase your name from the face of the earth in a click of my fingers." Almost immediately that happened,
Logan’s bodyguards immediately reacted.
The man casually drinking a cup of wine in a black suit immediately made a turn.
The guy reading a newspaper also reacted.
Even the guy mopping the floor was also an undercover one of his bodyguards.
After what happened in the store in the afternoon, Logan couldn’t take the risk any more, so he hired about 20 undercover security men for his own safety.
But now was really not the time.
Logan immediately raised his hands, signaling for them not to make a move yet.
Evelyn, who was full of pride, couldn’t bear but notice—maybe because she was too stupid or maybe because she was dumb.
But surely it might have to be one of them.
"Please, if you don’t mind, I do have a date to get to," Logan said as he walked past her yet again.
But this time she didn’t dare stop him.
His words had already taken her out by surprise.
Another date? How is that? How fast men move on.
Evelyn thought as she turned to see who the supposed date was. After all, she was pretty confident Logan in his current state can never land anyone good-looking at all.
But immediately she saw where he sat down, her blood ran cold.
"Miss Stephanie again?" For some time she thought Logan was just being a stalker and somehow he was able to know that she was going on a date tonight with Andrew and immediately rushed over.
But to her surprise he wasn’t. In fact, he really had a date, and of all people to go on a date with, it was Miss Stephanie.
In as much as she wanted to deny it, that was a very big upgrade.
And it pissed her off so much that she couldn’t wait to destroy that woman’s business.
In less than a minute Andrew immediately made it into the restaurant.
"Hey, Evelyn. You said it was urgent, so I scraped out everything I could from her system at home. Please, whatever you’re planning has to work though.
Because as you know, our allowances have been cut off, so I need this to work so we can get the money you promised us," Andrew spoke in a hushed voice until he spotted Logan at the end of the room with his mom.
And his mouth went dry.
One of his greatest wishes was that that boy didn’t come into his life.
In the space of 2 days he had sabotaged every single thing.
"Let’s have a seat," Evelyn said calmly.
But it was already very obvious that Logan was very nervous. To him this would be the best way to get his mom to become submissive to them once more.
Once they were seated, Evelyn went through the papers and couldn’t help but lift her head up in surprise.
"This information here is really good. I mean, this is very, very good," she said with a smile as she immediately called her dad.
Her and her dad spoke for some time and she sent the whole documents over.
After looking at it for a while he immediately exclaimed.
"Evelyn, do you know what exactly you just provided me? Wow, this is really good. I am really happy. Whoever was ready to sacrifice this type of information to you under any circumstances must really hate the company," the dad said in a happy tune. After all, if they could bring a company such as Hydra down, the competition in the oil company would at least reduce for the Roses’ own brand.
And besides, he was an aggressive pioneer. He sabotaged business without any mercy and he delved into illegal stuffs so much it didn’t feel any different.
"Also, regarding your account of 1.5 million followers I have been able to recover it, so I would like you to go and make an apology video to clear the whole situation. If not you would obviously get banned or lose so much followers
And we don’t want that to happen so just please just play along for now
Remember your not apologizing to Miss Stephanie it’s just an act.
Meanwhile, let me put this into action. By tomorrow the crash in market would be very obvious. I’m quite excited to try this out."
’Hydra Oil won’t know what hit them," the dad said with a laugh.
