Ji Hai continued, "Following that lead, I dug deeper and found that this company had previously collaborated with Meiruxue Company. A little over a month after joining, Qin Wanqing made contact with Jiang Ruxue and successfully switched companies. It’s safe to say her meeting with Jiang Ruxue was deliberately orchestrated."

"I figured as much," Chen Yuan replied. "Otherwise, she wouldn’t have turned on Jiang Ruxue at such a critical moment... Ningning still thinks I’m in the dark about this, but the truth is, comments about it are already all over the internet."

"There’s more," Ji Hai said grimly. "Even their investor, Daxia Company, was part of this corporate takedown. Meiruxue Company’s qualifications weren’t nearly enough to handle that investment, yet some executive at Daxia Company pushed past all objections to finalize the partnership... Chairman, business investment is our specialty. Daxia Company has an extremely impressive track record, so how could they possibly make such a rookie mistake—a high-risk investment with no hope of a return?"
