Chapter 1480: Kill
How could Nishigu Kyuu not know what Ye Fan wanted?
However, he absolutely could not hand it over, not even at the cost of his life.
The map fragment was a matter of great consequence; it couldn’t be given away casually.
Since deducing that the man in front of him was Ye Fan, Nishigu Kyuu knew he was in deep trouble.
"I know you are Ye Fan, it doesn’t matter if you don’t admit it." Nishigu Kyuu said angrily, "But what I never expected was that Mr. Ye would play such a game, utterly disregarding the law. Aren’t you afraid of making things so big that they can’t be cleaned up?"
"What’s the big deal about a few deaths? Besides, who would know I killed you?" Ye Fan replied indifferently.
Nishigu Kyuu squinted slightly, his gaze sharp, and said, "So you’re determined to see this through to the end?"
"Indeed." Ye Fan nodded, "I’ll give you one last chance: surrender the item, and you can live; if not, you meet your end."
"I will die before I yield." Nishigu Kyuu declared solemnly, "If you scare me into submission, my reputation would be ruined. I will break before I bend. Surrendering is out of the question."
"Then die." Ye Fan said without further ado, and launched an attack on Nishigu Kyuu.
"Just what I wanted, to see the gap between our strengths. The outside world sings your praises as unrivaled, I’d like to see just how formidable you really are." Nishigu Kyuu threw everything into the fight.
"You won’t be disappointed." Ye Fan replied playfully.
In moments, the two were locked in fierce combat.
As fists and kicks were exchanged, waves of deadly intent surged and wreaked havoc.
Already severely injured, Nishigu Kyuu felt even greater pressure clashing with Ye Fan’s overwhelming force.
Amidst overlapping punches and collisions, the fierce sounds of fists and the explosion of the void could be faintly heard.
"Ah!" Nishigu Kyuu let out a scream, his body flung like a kite with a broken string.
Ye Fan’s punch landed on Nishigu Kyuu’s chest.
The punch was powerful and overwhelming, immediately sending Nishigu Kyuu flying.
Nishigu Kyuu’s chest caved slightly; his ribs naturally fractured.
The broken bones stabbed into his internal organs, endangering his life which was instantly threatened.
Nishigu Kyuu hit the ground, barely clinging to life.
He struggled to stand, blood surging, and blood gushed from his mouth.
Then, his body fell straight back, eyes wide open.
"Terminator, indeed extraordinary and unmatched. Given a choice, I would rather not be your enemy. If only I hadn’t gotten involved in this event." Nishigu Kyuu managed to utter a complete sentence.
Then he perished, his eyes wide open, staring uncomprehendingly.
About the map fragment, he never mentioned it, not a word, other than his oath to die rather than surrender, giving away no other information.
However, Ye Fan was certain the map fragment was somewhere within that suite.
Now wasn’t the time to look for the map fragment, as Zhang Lu and Yang Shu were confronting Yamamoto and Nishida.
Ye Fan stepped out of Nishigu Kyuu’s room, and in the living room, Yamamoto and Nishida’s eyes darted towards him.
"The boss?" Yamamoto asked urgently, his eyes filled with doubt.
Nishida was also very anxious. That sound earlier was clearly the boss’s scream. Just from that, one could deduce that the boss seemed to be in dire straits. How could he not be worried?
"He’s dead." Ye Fan stated calmly.
"Dead? How is that possible?" Yamamoto was stunned.
"With just you, you killed the boss?" Nishida appeared disbelieving.
They knew the boss’s terror and strength, how could he die so easily?
It didn’t make sense.
Although there was a scream, it didn’t necessarily mean the boss encountered misfortune, did it?
Considering the boss’s skills, someone able to kill him in such a short time seemed non-existent to them.
Yet, looking at Ye Fan’s demeanor and the boss’s silence, it appeared the boss was truly dead.
Realizing this, Yamamoto and Nishida were unimaginably shocked, their eyes wide open.
Regardless of what was said, seeing is believing.
Yamamoto and Nishida drew closer, full of caution against Ye Fan, then moved towards Nishigu Kyuu’s room.
Nishigu Kyuu’s body lay coldly on the ground; Yamamoto and Nishida were dumbfounded, their minds exploding.
"Who are you? That you could kill the boss? What kind of god are you?" Yamamoto glared at Ye Fan.
"Why hide your face? Wearing a mask, don’t you have the courage to show your true self?" Nishida shouted.
Ye Fan, Zhang Lu, and Yang Shu donned masks, not worried about exposing their identities to Nishigu Kyuu.
Nishigu Kyuu and others were destined to die, so naturally, there’s nothing to worry about.
This was done as a precaution, to avoid being discovered by other lurking or monitoring forces.
Yamamoto and Nishida teetered on the brink of shock and rage, Nishigu Kyuu’s death throwing them into chaos.
"No more idle talk, I’ll ask you this once, where’s Nishigu Kyuu’s item?" Ye Fan asked calmly.
"Not that we know, but even if we did, we wouldn’t tell you." Yamamoto was filled with fierce anger, his gaze deadly.
"Damn it, prepare to die. I’ll fight you to the death." Nishida roared in fury, his killing intent boiling over.
Without another word, the two charged at Ye Fan.
"Noise!" Ye Fan scolded in annoyance.
After a brief confrontation, Ye Fan killed Yamamoto and Nishida with his palms.
"Couldn’t get the whereabouts of the map fragment?" Zhang Lu’s gentle voice came.
"Search for it, it should be found." Ye Fan said, "Nishigu Kyuu was tight-lipped, revealing no clues. These two wouldn’t know either."
Ye Fan, Zhang Lu, and Yang Shu split up and began searching around.
A quarter-hour later, there was no result.
All of Nishigu Kyuu’s personal possessions were searched, but nothing suspicious was found.
The briefcase that never left Nishigu Kyuu’s side was opened, but it was empty, nothing inside.
"Found nothing. Could it be that Nishigu Kyuu didn’t have a map fragment?" Yang Shu asked, frustrated.
"Not necessarily, keep looking." Ye Fan said.
Finally, under the pillow where Nishigu Kyuu slept, a small wooden box was found.
Inside the box was a piece of silk fabric fragment.
Zhang Lu examined it and confirmed, "This should be what we’re looking for."
Yang Shu glanced at Nishigu Kyuu’s body angrily, "He was quite cunning, nothing in his personal items, yet he kept it close even in sleep."
"Let’s go." Ye Fan and the others left this place of trouble.
