Chapter 1581 - 1582: Frequent Moves
The Hunter Cat respectfully ended the call from Jin Hua, without a chance to express his own thoughts throughout.
It was only after ending the call that he angrily shouted out.
"Watch your words!" Transforming Mouse reminded with a grim look.
"Do I not even have the right to vent when no one’s around? Leave it alone, this Mr. Jin is just inhumane." The Hunter Cat snarled, filled with rage.
"Be careful, the walls have ears." Transforming Mouse reminded again.
The Hunter Cat’s expression changed suddenly a few times, then slumped down in defeat, letting out a long sigh.
"What should we do now?" The Hunter Cat looked at Transforming Mouse, feeling unsure.
"Unconditionally follow Mr. Jin’s orders." Transforming Mouse affirmed with certainty, "This is our means of survival and a chance to rise again."
"But what about my date? I worked hard to earn that, and it was just about to be a success. Missing it at this time is not right." The Hunter Cat said loudly.
"Unconditionally follow Mr. Jin’s orders." Transforming Mouse repeated the phrase, unable to manage or decide on the Hunter Cat’s affairs, but one thing remained unchanged: Mr. Jin’s orders were not to be questioned by them.
"Ah, it’s such a pity." The Hunter Cat sighed deeply, having already made a decision in his heart.
Soon, Mr. Jin’s action plan was sent over.
The Hunter Cat and Transforming Mouse began to study the specific steps and details to pay attention to.
In the blink of an eye, it was the next day.
The Hunter Cat and Transforming Mouse had arrived at the kidnapping location long before, waiting in the car for the target to appear.
The Hunter Cat was unwilling, seizing a moment to send a text message to Yang Yan: Busy now, will call you once I’m free.
Yang Yan’s reaction remains on the back burner for now.
At this moment, Yang Shu personally drove Li’s Mother to the clinic where she worked.
Yang Shu was driving a taxi, which was a disguised identity; Li’s Mother was unaware of the situation.
As they reached the destination, Yang Shu parked, and Li’s Mother got out like usual.
As Yang Shu prepared to drive away and Li’s Mother was about to head to the clinic, a car suddenly rushed out from the side, parking horizontally in front of Li’s Mother.
Li’s Mother was shocked, and before she could react, the car door swung open, and Transforming Mouse dashed out, pulling Li’s Mother into the car before she understood what was happening.
Yang Shu was stunned but dared not show it too openly.
The Hunter Cat quickly drove away, with Yang Shu cautiously tailing them.
Simultaneously, Yang Shu immediately contacted Ye Fan, explaining the situation briefly.
Li’s Mother had been kidnapped.
The task force fell silent for three seconds.
Especially Li Tong, whose face was filled with anxiety.
Yang Shu transmitted the video of the kidnapping vehicle to the task force via her phone.
The task force became busy, closely monitoring the target vehicle and investigating the vehicle owner’s related information.
Ye Fan instructed Yang Shu, "Stop tailing the target vehicle; be careful not to alarm the perpetrators into harming the hostage. I have other arrangements."
"Understood!" Yang Shu hesitated slightly before agreeing.
"Don’t worry, everything will be fine. From now, establish two battlefields; outside the task force, it’s probably being watched, but we must be prepared to strike. This is the obvious move; the real deadly move is hidden." Ye Fan said calmly, "Since the enemy has come forward, I won’t let them escape this calamity."
Zhang Lu, Li Tong, and others had unwavering faith in Ye Fan’s words.
Because they knew that the one who had always played an unexpected role behind the scenes was Qiu Wen, and this time was no exception.
Letting Yang Shu stop pursuing the target vehicle, isn’t this letting the suspects escape?
No need to worry, actually, Li’s Mother had already been equipped with a tracker on her, a precautionary measure unbeknownst even to herself.
Now, Qiu Wen is already taking action, monitoring Hunter Cat’s movements.
Just wait until Hunter Cat and his associates stop, then seize the opportunity to strike not only to catch them off guard but also to achieve unexpected results.
"Let Yang Yan oversee the task force; let’s go to the scene of the incident." Ye Fan made an arrangement.
Ye Fan, Zhang Lu, and Li Tong brought along a reconnaissance team to the site of the crime.
On the way, Ye Fan sent a message: I have already made arrangements, do whatever someone tells you to do, remember, make it fake, don’t take it seriously; I have eliminated any unforeseen incidents, don’t worry.
Li Dingguo replied instantly: Is the enemy up to tricks again? What exactly is going on?
Ye Fan: Don’t ask too much; you’ll find out soon.
Li Dingguo was still bewildered when his wife’s number rang, and as soon as he answered, a female voice said, "Your wife has been kidnapped by us; if you don’t want to collect her corpse, exchange for a hard drive, time is of the essence, don’t do anything stupid. You have fifteen minutes to leave the institute with the hard drive; later, I’ll instruct the route, weigh your options, our patience is limited."
"Hey, who are you? You shouldn’t..." Li Dingguo, anxious, tried to ask for reasons but was cut off immediately; the other party hung up without giving him a chance to speak.
He called back, only to find the phone shut off.
Li Dingguo couldn’t avoid being anxious, but recalling Ye Fan’s prior advice encouraged him somewhat.
"Hang in there, dear. Don’t be afraid." Li Dingguo prayed inside.
Then, he timed it exactly, rushed out of the institute with the hard drive.
Scene of the crime.
From beginning to end, Ye Fan and Zhang Lu didn’t step out of their vehicle; Li Tong led the reconnaissance team gathering any potential evidence, surveying nearby surveillance witnesses.
Someone had already reported it; shortly after Ye Fan and others arrived, police came as well, apparently because witnesses voluntarily reported the kidnapping.
Li Tong coordinated briefly before the police took charge of security.
The one who reported was a clinic employee; at the time, the employee witnessed Li’s Mother being forcibly taken into a car, deciding to report it after telling Qian Weiwei, another boss.
The crime scene held little value; even if valuable, there wasn’t time once discovered, likely leading to a different scenario altogether.
Li Tong entered the vehicle, visibly uneasy, saying, "This is an organized and premeditated kidnapping."
"Don’t worry, Madam will be alright." Zhang Lu comforted.
"I firmly believe so, but I can’t help worrying. Mother is a frail intellectual, how could she endure this?" Li Tong expressed concern.
Zhang Lu shifted the topic, "When will we act?"
"Wait." Ye Fan replied softly.
"Wait for what?" Zhang Lu asked, with Li Tong also curious.
"In the shadows, Mr. Jin is definitely watching us, monitoring us. We deliberately expose ourselves, to let him feel reassured, and when he relaxes his guard, once the target hides Li’s Mother, we will pull off a surprise move, strike." Ye Fan patiently explained.
