"It’s best not to have any shortcomings in any aspect. Secret Artifacts don’t provide much of a speed boost, and speed is universally recognized as the hardest attribute to improve, which makes its cost-effectiveness surprisingly high..."

He didn’t think for too long before settling on the direction for his Holy Profession: one anchored in speed.

He thought, "With the Great Venerable’s power, I can directly forge the unassumed Holy Profession Sequence first. I don’t need to worry about Divine Blood, but I still need a massive amount of various Deceitful God marrows to reduce the difficulty and such."

He opened his status panel and took a look. His reserve of marrows wasn’t particularly large, with only about three or four varieties available.

This was mainly because after entering the Copper Heart, he could no longer transport Netherworld Stones out of the Nether Realm to give to Bu Siqi and the others, causing his collection efforts to stagnate for a time.

He thought, "This isn’t a big deal. Regardless, developing my profession’s progress is the main priority right now. It won’t be too late to plan for the rest when I advance to Tier Seven."

The Main Profession was the cornerstone of everything; Su Chen naturally wouldn’t lose sight of the bigger picture.

"Hmm... It’s about time I give the Faceless Ghost an answer soon. That Spirit of Sun is still waiting for me," Su Chen calculated. "Divine Blood... Divine Blood, I’m still really short on this stuff. If only Divine Power could be converted into Divine Blood."

He thought, "There’s still a lot to do. I need to take it one step at a time."

Having sorted out his thoughts, Su Chen was just about to walk back to the training room when his footsteps involuntarily paused. The surroundings darkened as the Flame Fire unexpectedly extinguished once again.

"Why did it go out again?" Su Chen was somewhat surprised, but on second thought, he wondered, "Did the Ancient King do this on purpose?"

Half a month later.

The Yuntai Transit Hub was the largest of the eight major transit hubs in the Dust Star Sea. Because it was situated exactly at the central node of the region, it was an unavoidable chokepoint for all travelers.

In the highest-grade docking area of the Star Port, the metallic ground gleamed with a cold, faint blue light. Parked here was a six-story luxury flagship. Its surface flowed with a mother-of-pearl luster, and its portholes were made of irregular, diamond-shaped crystals.

Each deck of the flagship was narrower than the one beneath it, resembling a silver tower being drawn upward by an invisible hand. The bottommost layer was embedded with anti-gravity anchors that were currently exhaling faint purple wisps of fog.

The Peng King, Qing Cang, and Qin Yun all stood before the flagship.

Looking at the spaceship before him, the Peng King couldn’t help but sigh with emotion. "No one could have ever anticipated that several Ancient Kings and Emperors would gather in this place."

BUZZ! The Peng King verified his identity, and the cabin doors slid open. A guard clad in Heavy Armor stood on each side, though the auras they emitted weren’t particularly intense.

Naturally, those at the Ancient King level didn’t need others to protect their safety.

The trio walked down the corridor, climbed the stairs, and arrived at the top floor. As the final metal door opened, the Peng King’s breathing suddenly hitched. Two gazes fell upon him, both carrying the terrifying, crushing pressure of a towering mountain.

There were only three people present in the command room.

"Emperor," the Peng King first bowed to the stalwart back of the figure standing before the porthole.

"Zhenwu Ancient King." He then looked toward a burly, muscular man with crossed arms, whose scrutinizing gaze was entirely undisguised.

Finally, he greeted the Profound Celestial Ancient King, who wore a gentle smile that made one feel as refreshed as a spring breeze.

Shortly after, Qing Cang and Qin Yun also offered their respective greetings.

"So, this is the Sun?" The Profound Celestial Ancient King extended a hand, and the green crystal that had been tightly clutched in the Peng King’s hand the entire journey floated over uncontrollably.

The Peng King subconsciously glanced at the Hanhai Emperor’s back, only to see that the other party remained completely motionless.

"Are you the Sun?" The Profound Celestial Ancient King gently brushed away the data blockade on the surface of the Sun crystal.

"Indeed," the Sun’s voice echoed out. "You must be the Ancient Kings and Emperors they mentioned. Moonlight Tier... truly quite rare already."

"Heh, stop acting so mysterious. A dead Sun Tier is nothing special." The Zhenwu Ancient King shot a cold glare, his words completely devoid of politeness.

The Sun instantly fell silent. The Zhenwu Ancient King didn’t care in the slightest, his gaze shifting with keen interest onto Qing Cang and Qin Yun. "Qin Yun..."

Qing Cang’s expression changed slightly, while Qin Yun simply nodded and said, "Ancient King."

The Zhenwu Ancient King extended an invitation. "I heard you’ve been having a very unhappy time in the Bronze Sect. How about it? Any interest in joining my True Martial Sect?"

Before Qin Yun could speak, Qing Cang’s heart sank, and he forced himself to say, "Zhenwu Ancient King, those words..."

Before he could even finish, Zhenwu let out a harsh shout. "Who gave you the right to speak!"

Qing Cang felt his heart palpitate violently, as if an imminent disaster had descended upon him. Yet, in the very next moment, that oppressive feeling was casually brushed away.

The Profound Celestial Ancient King furrowed his brow slightly, somewhat displeased. "Zhenwu, why lose your temper with these juniors?"

"Hmph." Zhenwu sneered coldly, keeping his eyes solely on Qin Yun. "Think about it. I heard you made successive moves against that Su Chen but failed every time. Once you outlive your usefulness, Bronze won’t show you any mercy. Come to my Zhenwu, and I can guarantee your safety."

Qing Cang’s face grew taut. If Qin Yun actually agreed, it would be equivalent to slapping the Bronze Sect right across the face.

When Qin Yun was on the verge of death, if the True Martial Sect used special methods to seal him away, the Bronze Sect would effectively lose a Morning Star Tier powerhouse for nothing.

The Profound Celestial Ancient King frowned. Just as he was about to speak, Qin Yun gently shook his head. "Thank you for your kind intentions, Ancient King, but I have no intention of defecting to another sect."

He still had many uncompleted tasks within the Bronze Sect. As for his master, if the Sun’s scheme succeeded, that man would be of no concern.

In fact, he could only vie for the seat of an Ancient King by staying.

"I’m not trying to trap you," the Zhenwu Ancient King frowned, emphasizing his point further. "You don’t need to be afraid. Bronze has to keep an eye on that damn Flame Fire and can’t leave. He poses no threat..."

Before he could finish his sentence, his expression suddenly changed. He wasn’t the only one; the Hanhai Emperor, who had been standing by the window, abruptly turned around as well, a flash of astonishment crossing his eyes.

The Profound Celestial Ancient King raised an eyebrow, his gaze turning increasingly profound.

"Zhenwu, are you... tired of living?"

Qing Cang’s heart trembled, soon followed by a tremendous surge of joy. He watched helplessly as a torrent of green data converged before his eyes, materializing into a familiar figure with a calm yet freezing gaze.

"Master?" Qin Yun couldn’t help but feel a jolt of shock and dismay. "Su Chen has actually managed to purify even the mid-level Fog Ashes. If such a body were given to the Sun..."

"Bronze," the Zhenwu Ancient King said, narrowing his eyes as a sharp glint flashed through them. Having confirmed that this was the main body and not a projection, a trace of apprehension couldn’t help but rise within him. He thought, "He can actually leave the Bronze Sect’s Flame Fire now? A round trip takes nearly half a year at the very least. Does the Bronze Sect’s Flame Fire no longer need him to look after it?"

"Bronze." A look of deep contemplation flashed through the Profound Celestial Ancient King’s eyes, yet he spoke with a jovial chuckle. "Didn’t you say you weren’t coming? And you even put on an act, asking me to keep an eye on this student of yours?"

"I just wanted to see who intended to scheme against my Bronze Sect." The Bronze Ancient King’s tone was indifferent as he stared at the Zhenwu Ancient King. "Now that I am here, do you have anything else to say?"

The Zhenwu Ancient King snorted coldly and did not press the issue regarding Qin Yun any further. The Profound Celestial Ancient King opportunely smoothed over the atmosphere. "Now that everyone is here, the fire ignition should go off without a hitch."

In the training room.

CRACKLE! CRACKLE! Purple lightning wrapped around Su Chen’s arms like a living creature, popping and crackling incessantly. Crimson flames condensed into a physical python, radiating waves of heat that distorted one’s vision.

Eventually, his expression shifted slightly. His status panel suddenly showed some activity:

[The Great Venerable Red Flame Thunder Resonator has awakened from his slumber. He feels his body growing ever more robust, faintly brushing against some kind of limit. If he can supplement himself with more Fog Ashes, he might be able to take another step forward.]

"He’s awake?" Su Chen opened his eyes, somewhat surprised. "That was quite fast this time."

He glanced at the text on the panel and couldn’t help but shake his head. "I know, of course. Just don’t be impatient."

The surging Thunder-Fire Power in the surroundings plunged into his body all at once. Su Chen lowered his legs and stood. "With this done, I can go draft my Main Profession now."

After tidying himself up a bit, he was just about to leave when his footsteps paused once again.

[After enduring immense hardship, the exhausted Purifier has completed his analysis. If you can find Flame Fire Golden Sand and a Moonlight Treasure Bone, and forge them with Sun Flame, you might be able to elevate your Talent to the True Radiance Level. Note: The selected Moonlight Treasure Bone may affect the bestowed Traits.]

"The Great Venerable has awakened, and the Purifier has finished his analysis." Su Chen scanned the required items mentioned above. Flame Fire Golden Sand and Moonlight Treasure Bone... both sounded incredibly precious.

Having to forge them with Sun Flame would likely be an extraordinary hassle. Just as he was pondering this, the text on the panel continued:

[The Purifier disgustedly returns the Divine Blood to you.]

The empty space before him distorted, and drops of the Faceless Ghost’s Divine Blood materialized.

"He gave it back?" Su Chen looked astonished. He genuinely hadn’t expected that this stuff wouldn’t be consumed.

"That makes sense. This was an analysis, not an operation requiring Divine Blood as fuel." This was an unexpected delight. Su Chen’s eyes narrowed slightly. "In that case, if I just fleece a little more from the Faceless Ghost, I should have enough to make ten drops. Then I can try entering that Sun Flame..."
