But the words died on his lips as he met Qin Tianlin’s indifferent eyes, and he swallowed his reprimand.

Just as he was about to say something else, he saw that Qin Tianlin had already walked out.

He descended the metal staircase one step at a time, arriving at the prison cells on the building’s lowest floor. Following an identity verification, the hydraulic doors opened, and matte gray composite armor plates slid across the floor.

Faintly glowing blue Energy lines were embedded in the seams of the walls. The main corridor was lined on both sides with metal cages.

"What in the world is your Qin Family trying to do?"

A fierce roar suddenly erupted from one side. It was a gaunt, middle-aged man whose arms had been severed. He had formed new limbs from crimson flames, and they gripped the metal railings, letting out a SIZZLING sound. His face was twisted in a snarl as he gritted his teeth and bellowed.

There were many others like him in the surrounding cells.

Some roared in fury, while others pleaded, "I’m a member of the Qin Family too! Nephew Tianlin, why have you locked me up?"

Qin Tianlin walked to the center with a blank expression, ignoring the surrounding wails. His eyes narrowed slightly, and scorching purple flames erupted from his body. The fire instantly exploded outward, sweeping in all directions, passing through the cages and enveloping everyone inside.

Instantly, a chorus of wails erupted.

"You’ll die a terrible death! Your entire Qin Family will die a terrible death!"

"The Sect won’t let you get away with this!"

Qin Tianlin remained expressionless. The flames weren’t burning their bodies—even their clothes were untouched—but the tormented snarls on their faces spoke of an agony that seemed to reach into their very Souls.

Amidst the wails, faint wisps of a substance, nearly invisible to the naked eye, seemed to be torn from their bodies and gradually merge into Qin Tianlin.

Qin Tianlin’s body trembled violently. His pupils were bloodshot, yet his eyes shone with irrepressible excitement. He extended a finger and pointed into the void. A phantom white spear gradually condensed into existence.

’Holy Spear Master... I... I can actually plunder it!’

"Of course I wouldn’t lie to you," a hoarse voice, one only he could hear, whispered in his ear.

"Hahaha..." Qin Tianlin suddenly threw his head back and laughed, his voice mingling with the wails around him.

"What in the..." Outside the hydraulic doors, Qin Guang staggered backward. He could see everything clearly on the surveillance monitor.

’That crazed figure in the purple flames... that’s definitely not my son!’

His heart pounded with anxiety. A profound fear washed over him, and he found he didn’t dare face Qin Tianlin directly. He scrambled back to his room, his face deathly pale.

’What in the world is going on...’ He walked over to a side table and sat down. On it sat several metal boxes, all gifts from others.

Even though plenty of people on Copper Heart gave him a hard time, out in the world, he was still the son of a Venerable and the father of a Divine Dawn Level powerhouse.

’Tianlin just hasn’t been the same since he lost his top spot. Damn that Su Chen. If it wasn’t for him...’

As Qin Guang cursed inwardly, he was startled to see a transparent substance spreading across his table.

"Something’s leaking!" Qin Guang’s brow furrowed. He looked at the pile of metal boxes in front of him, but just as he was about to inspect them, a sudden chill ran through his body.

In an instant, the transparent substance spread throughout the entire room. Wisps of grayish-white mist began to rise from the area it covered.

’This is bad!’ Qin Guang realized something was wrong, but it was too late. His pupils trembled violently and his body froze in place, as if locked by some unseen force, unable to move.

The space around him, now encased in the transparent substance, began to show fine, water-like patterns, forming regular, concentric ripples.

A massive, ferocious, grayish-white dragon’s head forced its way out of the distorted space. Its scales were coarse and mottled, and grayish-white mist swirled around the rugged, bony protrusions on its head.

The Centipede Dragon’s grayish-white eyes fell upon the terrified man before it. ’This is the one.’

"Someone wants to see you. Come with me."

The psychic message flooded into Qin Guang’s mind as the Centipede Dragon opened its great maw. There was no color of blood inside, only a silent, pitch-black abyss.

’Someone wants to see me? Who? Who can command Netherworld Creatures?’

Qin Guang was horrified. He struggled with all his might to move, but against the Centipede Dragon, a Tier Eight Netherworld Creature, his efforts were useless. He could only watch, helpless, as he was swallowed.

His vision went black, and Qin Guang’s body collapsed limply.

The Centipede Dragon’s head retracted into the Nether Realm. The door to the room burst open, and several furious roars followed.
