Chapter 465 - 264: Fog Ashes?
At this, Qing Cang’s expression suddenly froze. His voice dropped, simmering with fury. "So it’s him!"
"Who?" Su Chen was taken aback, not knowing what Qing Cang had discovered.
"It’s..." Qing Cang’s face turned cold. Just as he was about to speak, his expression changed drastically, and he snarled, "You’re courting death!"
A fierce wind erupted. The table and chairs trembled, and his figure was already gone.
’What the hell?’
Stunned, Su Chen hurriedly darted out of the room as well.
......
In the room, Fang Luoxun failed to notice the strange look that flashed across the faces of the two people before him when he uttered the two words "Su Chen."
’Su Chen is actually on this planet...’ Black Tuo’s heart pounded. He had thought that as a Star Seed, Su Chen would always be kept at the Sect’s core, making him difficult to approach.
’Who would have thought? This is almost too easy.’
’While getting Fog Ashes into Flame Fire is also my mission, Su Chen is the higher priority. Fog Ashes can wait.’
’Still, I need to be wary of Wuwang.’
"Take out Su Chen?" Black Tuo suddenly smiled. "He’s your Star Seed, isn’t he."
Bitterness rose in Fang Luoxun’s heart. He hadn’t been able to believe it when Fan Zhao had given him the task, and now, even facing one of the Deceitful God’s Followers, he couldn’t help but feel his confidence waver. He listened as the other man said slowly:
"You people see us as some kind of plague, yet we are united and support one another. But you... you’re ruthless and decisive when it comes to turning on your own people."
Fang Luoxun’s expression turned ugly, but he had nothing to say in rebuttal.
Black Tuo said slowly, "However, this matter isn’t too difficult. I suppose I can do you the favor of taking care of that..."
Before he could finish, the expressions on both Black Tuo and Wuwang changed. They looked up in horror.
The load-bearing structures within the room’s four walls began to twist with a grotesque CREAK. Under immense pressure, the concrete walls and metal rivets groaned and buckled.
Immediately after, the entire top half of the room was ripped away and torn to shreds. Like a piece of flimsy paper, it was swept high into the sky and vanished into a dark, swirling vortex of clouds.
A freezing storm and churning clouds poured down. Filling their entire vision was a gigantic face that dominated the sky.
Its silhouette was sketched out by flowing cyan cyclones and milky-white thunderheads. It was wreathed in gray-white torrents, like waterfalls or weeping willows, that constantly disintegrated into fine curtains of rain and leaping arcs of electricity.
Its eyes were two storm centers, constantly collapsing inward as they spun, like a pair of cyan moons hanging high in the sky. Positioned directly above the shattered roof, they stared down coldly at the insignificant figures in the room below.
In the surrounding city districts, people turned pale with horror, staring up at the behemoth that had suddenly materialized in the sky. A terrifying pressure rained down, bringing with it a majestic and suffocating silence.
"Th-this..." Fang Luoxun was frozen to the bone. He stared up at the giant face, rendered immobile by the overwhelming pressure. His voice trembled, "Mas... Master Qing!"
He was all too familiar with the owner of this face, who had even once personally mentored him.
"It’s Qing Cang!" Black Tuo’s cheek twitched. Gazing up at the giant face, he of course recognized the disciple of the Ancient King.
’How could he be here!?’ A chill ran down Black Tuo’s spine. ’I only just made contact, and Qing Cang is already attacking. He was clearly lying in wait.’
"We’ve been trapped!" Wuwang’s face was grim as he gritted his teeth. "I knew it! Red Thunder Star... Teng Liang!"
’Was it really because of him?’ Black Tuo faltered. The thought was inconceivable, but he had no time to dwell on it as a tremendous pressure converged on him from all directions.
’This body’s Professional Tier is only Tier Seven, but Qing Cang is a Double Ninth Tier Top-tier Professional.’
"Move! Damn it, move!" Black Tuo’s body trembled violently as black mist seeped from his eyes, ears, and nostrils. He was seething with indignation.
’I haven’t done anything yet! After all the trouble it took to get here, I get trapped the moment I arrive.’
From a distant building, Su Chen hurried out, followed by Teng Liang and Ming Lin, their faces filled with terror.
"So this is the Power of a Double Ninth Tier?" Su Chen murmured, looking up at the giant face that nearly blotted out the sky. "If he were to really go all out, the entire planet might not survive the devastation..."
’Although I’ve witnessed the form of an Ancient King, that was more for intimidation. The power gap was so vast that it was actually difficult to truly perceive it.’
’But now, even from this distance, I can feel that tangible, crushing pressure on my very life force. It’s like a boulder is on my chest... truly terrifying.’
He wasn’t too far from the hotel, so he had a clear view.
On the rooftop, one of the figures was engulfed by a roiling black mist. As if it had a life of its own, the mist collapsed inward and condensed, then instantly swelled into a black mist giant hundreds of meters tall.
Its silhouette was indistinct, yet it exuded immense pressure. The shadows cast by its dangling arms were like flowing rivers of ink. On its face, formed of dense haze, a single black, vertical pupil burned like a torch.
A watery sheen rippled across the other person’s skin. Their body then transformed into a giant, translucent serpent. It was as clear as flowing crystal, with only a line of faint blue Energy patterns shimmering along its spine.
Its scales refracted light into kaleidoscopic fragments as it unfurled its nearly thousand-meter-long body and coiled it around the area.
’I wonder what kind of fallen Professional Spiritualities these two Divine Sons are the product of,’ Su Chen mused.
’Two Divine Sons in the flesh...’ Qing Cang was surprised for a moment. Then, an even greater rage surged within him. ’Courting death!’
The giant face seemed to exhale faintly. It was no ordinary breath, but a highly concentrated, cyan-colored storm.
The instant it left its lips, it transformed into a shockwave that spanned the sky and plummeted downward.
Realizing there was likely no escape today, Black Tuo seethed with fury.
