After watching the other man until he was completely out of sight, Su Chen glanced up and stepped onto another Flying Device.

He wasn’t just there to send off Luo Shuhang. It was a rare occasion that he had business of his own—attending the opening ceremony for Dragon Abyss.

Dragon Abyss was the fourth satellite city to orbit Copper Heart and the venue for the Peak Star Conference. Its opening, combined with the Bronze Sect’s recent string of good news, was cause for celebration.

Su Chen, however, was going because the preliminary selection process was being made public. Since it involved the Morning Star Essence, he naturally needed to learn more about it.

After connecting to a flight lane, the Flying Device autonomously headed for Dragon Abyss, gradually entering orbit around its surface.

From the Flying Device, Su Chen looked down. Although the foundations had been laid, the vast majority of Dragon Abyss was still an expanse of silvery white.

Some areas still had exposed metal frameworks and Energy conduits. Many Constructor Masters were busy, guiding vast quantities of metal materials to melt, pour, and take shape with impressive efficiency.

This infrastructure was still under construction. For now, only a single, massive habitable city had been erected. It covered an extremely wide area, dense with towering skyscrapers and transport rails weaving between them. This was Peak Star City, the main venue for the Peak Star Conference.

As he drew closer, the number of Flying Devices in the flight paths increased significantly. While most of the area was still empty, a large, open space in the city’s center, seemingly reserved for some kind of massive venue, was particularly eye-catching.

Today, this area was bustling, packed with a large crowd.

Fully armed members of the Town Guard Army patrolled the perimeter. Su Chen landed his Flying Device to the side, verified his identity, and entered the main venue, where he quickly spotted some familiar faces.

"Old Su! Old Su!" Chu Ran yelled, his voice so loud it drew the attention of many people.

It wasn’t just people from the Bronze Sect here; there were also members of the Four Great Sects and the Royal Court.

After all, now that they were guests of the Sect, it was impossible not to have notified them.

The members of the various major Sects were gathered in twos and threes, each forming their own small circles.

Hearing Chu Ran’s shout, everyone’s eyes turned toward the source. Many already recognized him and were sizing him up with subtle glances.

In the central area, the gathered Venerables also cast their gazes over.

"So that’s Su Chen?" In the distance, Wu Yue glanced over with a frown. He was in a foul mood. Far from seeing the Bronze Sect make a fool of themselves, he had been badly shaken. Not only was the Bronze Ancient King in excellent condition, but they also had a rising star like Su Chen.

"He’s quite handsome," Li Qing said with a light laugh. "I heard Senior Brother Qing Cang was originally planning to take him as a disciple, but he hesitated a bit and acted too slowly. In the end, Su Chen became his junior brother instead, and he’s been brooding over it ever since."

"His foundation is very solid," Qi Heng couldn’t help but nod.

"Such a dashing and heroic air."

Someone remarked in a low voice with admiration. Su Chen felt the subtle, assessing gazes from all around. He had already anticipated such a scene before coming, so he wasn’t surprised.

"It’s rare to see you at a big event like this," Chu Ran said in a low voice, sidling up to him with a look of genuine surprise.

"Your reputation has really spread. For most of those guys, this is the first time they’ve seen you in person. How does it feel? Pretty great, huh?"

Su Chen shot him a look, rendered speechless.

He walked over to where the members of the Bronze Sect were gathered. Although they seemed to be in one group, they were subtly divided into several factions. Qin Yun and Qin Tianlin were also there.

"Venerable Chu Lingyuan, Venerable Qin Yun," Su Chen greeted the two Venerables, his expression calm.

"Young people should get out and about more," Chu Lingyuan responded with a hearty laugh.

Qin Yun nodded, her expression unreadable.

’Come to think of it, this is only the second time I’ve met him,’ Su Chen mused to himself. He walked to the side and called out, "Brother Shen."

Shen Yi’an returned his greeting with a smile.

After greeting the others, Su Chen glanced around, a little surprised. "Where’s Old Wei? How could he possibly miss an event like this?"

"Old Wei..." Chu Ran’s expression turned a little strange. "You don’t know?"

"He went to Melt a Holy Profession." The words were transmitted via a mental wave.

"You really lit a fire under him," he added.

"Melting a Holy Profession?" Su Chen was taken aback. He asked a few more questions privately to confirm. It turned out the Sect hadn’t found another Spiritual Fire. Instead, they had contacted another power that had found a Spiritual Fire but couldn’t use it. The Sect had paid a certain price to secure this opportunity for Old Wei.

A Chairman had personally escorted him. As for which power they went to, that was currently a secret; even Chu Ran didn’t know.

"Su Chen." A voice suddenly spoke up beside him as he was chatting with Chu Ran.

Su Chen turned to look. His gaze flickered as he saw a handsome, martial-looking young man with a gentle smile on his face.

’Han Xingliu?’ Su Chen recognized him. After arriving in the Dust Star Sea, this was, strictly speaking, the first Star Seed he had ever come into contact with.

Albeit, it was through the Prophet Council’s files. At the time, the full, flowing page detailing his deeds had been a real eye-opener.

"So it’s Brother Xingliu," Su Chen greeted him with ease.

"You know of me?" Han Xingliu feigned surprise.

"Of course. Your reputation resounds throughout the Dust Star Sea. Who wouldn’t know of you?" Su Chen replied with a smile, exchanging pleasantries.

’So composed?’ Han Xingliu was inwardly surprised. Su Chen was so young, yet he was already second on the Holy List. He had expected the young man to be at least a little arrogant.

’No wonder he can withstand the erosion of the Deceitful God’s Power. Worldly fame can’t shake his heart. He’s firm on the inside and flexible on the outside.’

Given Han Xingliu’s standing, his first instinct was to appreciate such talent, but he snuffed out that thought in the next instant.

The two chatted idly, looking for all the world like they were thoroughly enjoying each other’s company. The other Star Seeds, who had been observing in secret, were all somewhat surprised.

According to Su Chen’s file, "reclusive" was one of his defining traits. They had thought he was a rather dull fellow who only knew how to train and develop his abilities, someone who didn’t understand social niceties. But the man before them now was completely different from what they had imagined.
