Chapter 52: Nine Years Later II
"This bastard realm..."
"Couldn’t it have dropped me somewhere normal?"
Suddenly, the water around him began to ripple violently.
A massive crocodile more than thirty meters long burst out of the lake.
Its body was covered in pure white scales, and a pair of golden eyes locked onto Kaiser.
The creature opened its enormous jaws and lunged at him.
Kaiser remained calm.
"White-Scaled Holy Crocodile, huh?"
He raised his hand.
A Spectral Blade appeared in his grasp.
The moment the crocodile reached him, Kaiser swung his sword.
Slash!
A sharp streak of Soul Mana flashed through the air.
The enormous crocodile was cleanly split into two.
Its body crashed into the water with a tremendous splash.
The next moment, Kaiser extended his hand toward the corpse.
"Undead Creation."
Death Mana flowed into the two halves.
The flesh quickly rejoined.
Dark runes spread across its white scales.
Dark runes spread across its white scales.
Within seconds, the giant crocodile stood back up.
Its golden eyes had turned into ghostly gray flames.
It had become Kaiser’s undead servant.
Kaiser jumped onto its broad back.
"Take me to the shore."
The undead crocodile let out a low growl before turning and swimming rapidly through the flooded hall toward dry land.
Ripple...
Ripple...
Kaiser looked at the water around him as more ripples spread across the surface.
"Tch."
"Are they still trying to kill me?"
"Is it because I’m from the Death Church?"
One after another, more giant crocodiles emerged from the water.
Every one of them radiated the aura of a Tier 6 monster.
Kaiser shook his head.
"You’re seriously underestimating me."
"They’re only Tier 6."
The next moment, his shadow expanded beneath him.
Dark Soul Mana spread across the flooded hall.
One after another, armored figures emerged from the darkness.
Thirty Spectral Knights stepped forward.
Each one carried a heavy sword and radiated the aura of a Tier 6 or Tier 7 undead.
They were Kaiser’s Nemesis Spectral Knights.
Over the past six years, he had invested countless rare resources into raising and evolving them.
They were no longer ordinary Spectral Knights.
Each one was an elite undead capable of fighting powerful enemies on its own.
A moment later, an even larger figure emerged from the shadows.
It stood nearly twice the height of the other knights.
Its armor was darker and covered with ancient silver runes.
A massive greatsword rested in its hand.
An overwhelming aura spread throughout the hall.
This was Kaiser’s fifth strongest undead.
The Imperial Nemesis Knight.
Kaiser looked at the countless White-Scaled Holy Crocodiles filling the flooded hall.
"For you, this squad is enough."
With a wave of his hand, he gave the order.
Except for the Imperial Nemesis Knight, all thirty Nemesis Spectral Knights charged toward the crocodiles.
Boom!
The battle erupted immediately.
The knights swung their heavy swords, cutting into the holy beasts as the crocodiles answered with powerful bites and bursts of Light Mana.
The entire hall shook from the clash.
Kaiser paid little attention to the battle.
His gaze remained fixed on the far end of the flooded hall.
A massive figure slowly emerged from the water.
It was more than sixty meters long, nearly twice the size of the other crocodiles.
Its scales shone with a faint golden glow, and the pressure it released was far greater than the others.
"The king is finally here."
The giant crocodile opened its enormous jaws.
A huge sphere of Holy Light quickly gathered inside its mouth before shooting toward Kaiser.
Before the attack could reach him, the Imperial Nemesis Knight stepped forward.
It raised its massive greatsword and swung it with all its strength.
Slash!
The blade of dark Soul Mana split the beam of Holy Light into two.
The attack passed harmlessly on both sides of Kaiser, exploding against the distant walls.
Kaiser looked at the giant crocodile.
"Kill it."
"And bring me it’s corpse"
The Imperial Nemesis Knight let out a low roar and charged forward.
Its heavy footsteps shook the hall.
It raised its greatsword and brought it down with overwhelming force.
The Crocodile King reacted immediately.
Instead of dodging, it raised a massive claw covered in brilliant Holy Mana.
Boom!
The claw blocked the greatsword head-on.
The impact sent a powerful shockwave across the flooded hall, throwing water high into the air.
The Imperial Nemesis Knight pushed forward with all its strength.
The Crocodile King refused to move.
For a few seconds, both remained locked in place.
Then the crocodile swung its enormous tail.
Boom!
The tail slammed into the Imperial Nemesis Knight and knocked it backward.
The knight slid across the flooded floor before planting its greatsword into the ground to stop itself.
The Crocodile King didn’t give it time to recover.
It charged forward.
Its jaws opened wide.
The Imperial Nemesis Knight stepped to the side.
Crunch!
The giant jaws bit into the stone floor instead.
Chunks of rock flew in every direction.
The knight immediately swung its greatsword.
Slash!
The blade cut across the crocodile’s neck, leaving behind a deep wound.
Golden blood poured into the water.
The Crocodile King roared.
Holy Light erupted from its body.
The wound quickly began healing.
Kaiser quietly watched the battle.
Kaiser grinned.
"Aren’t you forgetting me?"
He slowly raised one hand and pointed toward the Crocodile King.
"Withered Heart."
A dark green aura surged from his fingertip and instantly wrapped around the Crocodile King’s body.
It was a Tier 5 plague curse that reduced the target’s overall physical abilities by thirty percent.
The Crocodile King’s movements immediately became noticeably slower.
Its strength weakened.
Even its reactions dulled.
The giant beast let out an angry roar and charged straight toward Kaiser.
Before it could reach him, the Imperial Nemesis Knight grabbed its massive tail.
With a powerful pull, it swung the enormous body through the air and slammed it onto the ground.
Boom!
The entire hall shook violently.
But then next second the Crocodile twisted it’s body and escaped from the grasp of the knight easily.
Kaiser clicked his tongue.
"Tch."
"As expected of a Tier 8 monster."
"It’s not easy to weaken it with a single curse."
Without wasting another second, he began casting more curses.
