The next holiday, I decided to visit the mechanic's workshop again to talk about the prosthetics.

Now I'm with Garnett, not Sakura.

I have already finished the pre-meeting and the lower preparation, so I am led to the back of the workshop as soon as I just show my face.

The lecture and all the clothes on the upper body were taken off and then seated in a chair, and the instructions for attaching the prosthetic hand were to be taken together with the demonstration.

"Okay, just now, I'll start with the installation instructions. Luke, you've got a whole tip near your shoulder, so the base of your prosthetic arm is finished in a way that covers your entire shoulder."

While Alexia stands behind me and prepares for this, she continues to explain the prosthetics she is about to install.

"Bran was in a torn shape in the middle of his arm, so I could fasten the belt to the rest of it and secure it, but in your case, Luke, you're going to use the torso to secure it."

A cover covering the shoulder and cross section, directly connected to the prosthetic arm imitating the entire arm, is pressed against it.

While I held it down with my left hand, Alexia handily turned the fabric belt to my body, securing the prosthetic arm behind my neck and through my left flank.

Garnett looks at the sight blurry from the side.

Like watching Alexia at hand or not, what the hell are you touring with in mind?

"This is it... I installed it from the top of my bare skin for easy understanding this time, but if it seems painful or uncomfortable, try wearing it from the top of my skin"

"It's gonna be hard for me to do this alone."

"Exactly all this. I have a cohabitant because of you, Garnett. Why don't you ask him?

"Heh!? Oh, is that me?

Unexpectedly turned the talking spearhead, Garnett leaked his upward voice with his eyes round.

"You're the closest person I know. My brother, you're not going to do it."

"... I can't help it... dammit"

Garnett shrugged, looking sideways at my body naked in the upper body - technically an instrument that fastened my prosthetic arm to my body.

Well...... this is just an easy to understand exercise.

In real life, it would be better to mount it from the top of your skin. In many ways.

"Then try and move it. It feels normal to move your right hand."

"Like this?

I try to move my right hand as they say.

Then strangely, an artificial right-arm finger with the same structure as the autonomous doll slowly began to open and close as I thought.

Of course it's not just the fingers.

You can bend your elbows or lift your arms higher than your shoulders.

"Wow, this! How does that work? That's lighter than I thought..."

Orders "control methods are wizard's domain, so whatever for me. As for this one, we've just improved it so we can move the streets."

Receive the shirt Alexia offered with her right hand and go through her arms and neck as usual.

It just didn't even feel right, so it seemed like it would take a lot of getting used to working properly with hand exploration, but based on that, it's a big boost.

"Our mechanic worked hard on the weight. The prototype weighed quite a bit. It is lighter in many ways so that it can be balanced by the same weight as the left arm."

"I see. Are you going to stand the fight?

"Luke, if it's backwards support like you're doing, I can handle it. You can't spin a sword or a spear. Maybe not even a bow. So is the body strength, because the anchoring of the base is not that strong."

The neighborhood is looking forward to future development, Alexia added in a bounced voice.

Exactly doesn't seem like a complete substitute for a real arm at the moment.

"Then it depends on whether you can lift heavy objects or not."

"Yeah, I was wondering if the fixing method needed improvement. Luke, you're going to be able to [fuse] the human body so it doesn't come off, but this is part of a study of the premise of popularizing it to the public."

"What's going on with the power source?

"In the meantime, Luke, it's in the form of using your magic. There are ways to use magic crystals, but let's start with a simple structure."

Neither me nor Alexia knew it and had a grin on her mouth.

Garnett also looks intrigued, stroking and holding the artificial hand peeking from the sleeve of his jacket.

- I'm an adventurer. Garnett as a knight. Alexia is a mechanical engineer.

Each from a different side - or a similar side - highly values this exquisite prosthetic hand.

Occupational patterns, both adventurers and knights are at higher risk of losing limbs than the average person.

Even the performance of a prosthetic hand at the moment must have helped those injured to leave the line and live close to the average person, and returning to the scene would be no longer a dream if performance improved.

"Still, some guys in the world do this amazing research,"

"Right. I think it will definitely change the way society is if it is completed. But, Luke, it seems like this would have been an impossible substitute without you, right?

Alexia smiled strangely proud as she started cleaning up after her.

"I actually scratched the contents and found out that the internal structure of this arm is pretty much influenced by the autonomous doll. I was able to adjust so quickly because I had experience analyzing recovered automated dolls."

The Ripper of the Night: "I mean, if we hadn't defeated or proceeded to explore the 'Ark of Elements', wouldn't we have finished it so quickly?" "What we discover changes the world in the hands of other experts. You run out of adventurer profit, don't you? Well, me and Luke, you're in the business of doing another job."

Absolutely right.

Essentially, an adventurer is a 'seeker' and a 'discoverer'.

That in itself can often only be part of mere exploration and treasure hunting, but it can also be an incentive to change the world in the form of pulling objects in places that would normally not be found in front of those who possess the right knowledge.

"... by the way, I was going to ask you someday"

In anticipation of my conversation with Alexia dropping, Garnett pinches his mouth in a strange manner.

"How far is the analysis of autonomous dolls going? If you find anything, the White Wolf Knights will have a report."

"Hmm... do you say guessing at a time when there are no major reports? I was able to analyze the extremities and other terminal parts so that I could make prostheses like this, but when it comes to the contents of my head and chest, it's still not good enough."

Alexia looked in trouble and slapped herself in the head with her fingers with a ton.

"It was in a black box state that was too complicated to even grasp the trigger of reverse engineering"

"Well... damn, I was hoping I'd have some clue how to take them down"

"Look, this is just a metaphorical story. You just physically tore the human head apart, and you don't know how emotions and personality are born. You feel that level of incomprehension."

If a mechanical technician as smart as nuclear Alexia is like that, a complete analysis of what can also be called an autonomous doll would be really impossible for humans today.

From what I've seen in "Right Eye," I have to say there's really nothing I can do about it, because I know the general roles and uses, but I don't even know how to be specific.

With that in mind, Alexia said a word in her casual manner that made her wonderfully convinced.

"For once, Luke, you're holding me hostage to your right arm. If you're a dark elf, you might also know something we don't. They're also doing something that doesn't make sense."
