Thus, the War of the Demon King brought the curtain down with victory on the part of mankind.

And from here on out, a long post-war process awaits as a regular part of war.

What you have to do is pile up, but you don't need to end it all at once either.

The first thing that was to be tackled was complete control of Demon King's Castle and a detailed investigation.

This one did not include external collaborators, and instructions were given that the Golden Tooth Knights and the Silver Wing Knights should jointly hit the mission.

Another thing that is going on simultaneously is the reconstruction of the castle town where the Dwarves live.

In addition to the destruction by the Demon King's Army, the destruction of the Dragon Excluded Junction Stone made it urgent to rebuild the main facility more quickly.

This was centered on adventurers and private collaborators, including Luke of the White Wolf Forest, and work was vigorously underway.

And now - five days early from the fall of Demon King Castle.

An unprecedented tension was running among the golden fang knights who proceeded to investigate Demon King's Castle.

"I've been waiting for you, Captain Gilbert!

Golden Tooth Knights Commander, Gilbert.

The golden fang knights rush to the right and to the left to welcome this tough but faceless man.

Gilbert himself refused to receive an excessive welcome and walked behind the castle with several accompaniments as he ordered a progress report on the investigation of Demon King's Castle.

- And the other one.

Subject to Gilbert dressed in a knight-like costume, a man in what he could only call a spilled everyday outfit was walking next to Gilbert as a matter of course.

"Carmine. You were supposed to be on vacation?

Gilbert threw his voice at the blonde blue-eyed man walking next door with no gaze at all.

"Yes, but because the situation is the situation. Today I decided to return my valuable vacation and try to keep abreast of the situation."

Head of the Silver Wings Knights, Carmine.

He is the brother of the knight Garnett, who escorts Luke in the White Wolf Forest, a man who has stayed in Greenhollow Town in the name of a long vacation and has observed the course of the Demon King's War from close quarters.

Gilbert as picturesque as QUALITY Rigid and Carmine that makes you feel even lighter.

The two, whoever saw it, could only say the opposite, visited the investigative base set up in one of the rooms of the Demon King's Castle, with minimal conversation.

I guess it's the room that was originally used for military discussions.

A considerable area was taken in comparison to the other rooms, but almost exclusively to the piles of materials and documents brought in by the Knights, which were a true representation of the busy nature of the scene.

"I've been waiting for you, Captain Gilbert. Sir Carmine, come here, please."

"Request a report. It doesn't matter as far as we know at the moment."

"Ha!"

While the Knight of the base manager turns the bundle of paperwork at hand, he reports to Gilbert and Carmine on matters that have been found in the investigation up to the moment.

"The remaining power of the Demon King's Army is almost destroyed. But fewer than expected, and the majority of the troops are believed to have fled Demon King's Castle."

"You're not out of siege."

"Yes. We also know the escape route. As instructed by the Royal Palace, we are taking prisoners wherever possible, but it is difficult to keep them all on the ground."

"Okay. Prepare for decentralized confinement."

While Gilbert was listening to a report from the base manager, Carmine was leaning against the wall to see what was going on indoors.

It's not that I'm not interested in the content of the report, it's that I listen to the conversation without interrupting it.

"You didn't report on the enemy's escape route in the first report. A new discovery?"

"Yes, may I show you now"

"Do that."

Guided by a knight who was the head of the base, Gilbert moved to the basement of Demon King Castle.

Along the way, Gilbert glanced at Carmine, who was naturally following him, but more than that, silently acquiesces to the companion without showing any particular reaction.

"This seems to be the escape route for the Demon King's army."

The place where the two Knights Commanders were guided was a vast hall set at the back of the passage where the battle golem could pass slowly, the deepest of the ground floor of Demon King's Castle.

Lightly over twenty heavily armed knights laid tight security, but their vigilance did not appear to be outside the hall, but rather directed inward.

Gilbert and Carmine just proceeded to the back of the hall, and understood the reason for their vigilance.

The floor behind the hall had a big square hole in its mouth, and the gentle slopes continued everywhere into the dark.

"I see, that's a big hole leading to the deep end of the dungeon. Did you throw away the defense unit as a stone and let the main unit that you wanted to keep warm escape from here?"

"If you truly take what the Demon King said, their virtual enemies are a separate race in a deeper realm. I didn't want to make a foolish imitation of fighting with humans to the end."

Carmine crouched down, fingering traces of something dragging on the floor.

Perhaps he dragged a carrier or something with supplies onto the golem to make his escape to the next tier of this' Demon King's Castle area '.

"I don't have a lot of information coming to me, but I'm sure only two of the four Demon King's army executives can pick it up."

"Oh. He didn't even show up while the Demon King was engaged alone"

Without seeing each other's faces, the two Knights chiefs are having the conversation they deserve as those who preside over one end of the kingdom's military.

They are the opposite of each other in character, and the relationship between the Knights is by no means moderate, but they are nevertheless not so selfish as to ignore the Knights basic principle of 'serving the peace and prosperity of the kingdom'.

In analyzing the trends of the Demon King's Army, they both take it for granted to have a sober exchange of views.

"It's absolutely impossible in our common sense, but their executive class seems to be able to replace their bodies over and over again, so they didn't even have to guard the Demon King's 'flesh now'... is that it?

"It is presumed that the two remaining Demon generals at that point would have taken command to withdraw the Demon King's Army main force and research material to the next tier. Prepare for the battle against 'fate' for them."

After the fall of Demon King's Castle, the Souma Knights took control of all of Demon King's Castle, but that was after many things had already been brought out.

A bunch of combat golems that I think I held.

Experimental facilities that only consider humans as experimental animals and materials documenting their results.

Troops that were not turned by the defense forces and modified soldiers that would still exist in significant numbers.

In other words, I guess the Demon King Army regarded the battle over Demon King's Castle as a retreat fight from the beginning.

It is not difficult to imagine that someone with considerable authority took command of the formation in order to complete this great task in the short time leading up to the fall.

A presence bestowed upon the Supreme Commander, the Demon King, more or less than he was in combat.

"Well, as far as we're concerned, we completely achieved our goal when we were defected from the Demon King's Army. As soon as possible, this' Demon King's Castle Realm 'will be transferred to the jurisdiction of the Adventurer Alliance."

"Not at all. The war against the Demons is too different from that between humans on their own. You just have to let your guild manage the dungeons."

The arrow tip Gilbert tried to turn back on his heel, accidentally speaking as Carmine remembered.

Speaking of which, I'm talking about Luke from the White Wolf Forest.

"I hear you've made a great contribution to the Demon King crusade. What's wrong with that guy?"

"You would have fought for him in the name of the Golden Fang or the Silver Wings, and you would have kept him with Your Majesty? That story... apparently it's going to end in a pain-sharing"

"... what?

Carmine looked at her troubled face and let her shake her head to do it with a big gesture.

"Whether (...) and (...) top (...) are taken from side to side, or an unprecedented measure... Either way, something unprecedented could happen."
