- The headquarters of the Silver Wings Knights, the office of the Knights Commander.

"That will be the report of the day"

"Thank you. You couldn't have solved the case today."

Carmine heard a report from Sir Bradford, the knight under his command, and rose from the desk chair.

"Shall we sort out the information for now? Please help me."

Pin the documents one at a time onto the large corkboard that hung on the wall.

The contents of these documents provide a separate summary of investigative information for each incident that is believed to have been committed by the Night Ripper.

It also contains findings from special skills held by the knights to whom it belongs, and can be considered the most current update, both famous and famous.

"First, the first case. A young woman, at least, although the destruction of the body did not lead to personal identification. At the beginning of the discovery, it was thought to be one victim, but later it was found that two bodies were mixed up. That's pretty much why it was"

The document is not accompanied by a picture, but there is more than enough to detect the woes of the body, even if only the text with the spelled bullet points.

"With the suspension of releasing information to the public shortly after it was discovered, the public thinks it's the case of one victim so far... shouldn't it?

"Yes, the remains are enchanted in the Wang Dynasty Temple."

"The temple chief says loudly, 'It's annoying, so pull it up and bury it,' but I'm sorry, but you have to be patient until we find out who you are."

Carmine shifted her gaze to the next document in an attitude she didn't seem so bad.

"The second case involved the killing of an active A-rank adventurer. At this point, they thought it was separate from the earlier murder, and the damage to the body wasn't as bad as before. Still falling apart."

"Later, a skilled reanalysis of the cutting surface reveals that it was dismantled with the same murder weapon as the first incident"

"The victim of the third case is a former A-ranked retired adventurer. Due to his position in the Adventurer Alliance, he withheld releasing information at the request of the Alliance."

Documents from this onwards will be accompanied by many words of 'confidentiality'.

"The victims of the fourth and fifth cases are also ex-A ranks, but this one retired more than twenty years ago and was a civilian, so there was a time lag until he turned out to be an adventurer"

"Being a former adventurer is private at the request of the Alliance"

"Yeah, but it was too late to lay low the fact that there was a murder, and the alias of the Ripper of the Night (Night Ripper) started to pop among the people."

First incident - two victims. Unidentified. Initially falsely announced as one victim, apparently not yet corrected. The body has been excessively damaged compared to subsequent incidents.

The second incident - one victim. Active A-Rank Adventurer.

The third case - one victim. Retired A-Rank Adventurer. Alliance position. Publication of the case is sent forward at the request of the Alliance.

Fourth incident - one victim. Retired A-Rank Adventurer. Retired over twenty years ago. On the face of it, it has been announced that ordinary people have been harmed.

Fifth case - one victim. Retired A-Rank Adventurer. Victims are in a similar position to the fourth case. The latest case in the public domain.

Four cases were published. Four victims were released.

There is one private incident. There are two private victims.

Only one of the murdered adventurers and former adventurers has that fact publicly available.

The other two have been announced as ordinary people, and the remaining one has the incident itself lay low.

This is the whole story of the serial killings known to the public as the Night Rippers.

"What each case has in common is the murder weapon used. Because the state of the amputation surfaces is all very similar, it was presumed to be a series of incidents by the same offender."

It's not like the public is irresponsibly making a scene with 'Nightripper'.

Naturally, there are grounds for the ongoing investigation as a serial murder.

"And well, if this was over, I'm sure it would have been a crime aimed at A-rank adventurers, but the sixth case made me confused again"

Carmine tapped the corkboard to knock lightly and read it out to throw up the sixth document.

"Sixth case so far unpublished. The outbreak occurred immediately after the fifth incident. The victims are two men and women who have no connection or itch with the adventurer. And the murder (...) vessel (...) is different (...)"

A heterogeneous case that destroys the legality that was floating.

Regardless, there are grounds for believing that this is part of a serial killing.

"Normally, the sixth (this guy) is a copycat. The murder weapon is different anyway. Of course, there's a possibility that the murder weapon was new because it went bad in the fifth case... but there was something in common that I couldn't ignore more than that"

Paste a larger piece of paper in the empty area of the corkboard and write down the description there with a pen.

"If you trust the results of the analysis by skill, the two types of murder weapons used in the six cases were both Mi (...) s (...) li (...) l (...) for (...) y (...) et (...) and (...) y (...) (...)"

Carmine threw a pen at the tray attached to the bottom of the corkboard, spreading her arms in a lofty gesture and hissing her eyebrows.

"Hey, Bradford. You think I can cheaply accidentally clean this guy up?

"No. Rather, those who treat it as' coincidental 'will need grounds"

"Oh yeah. The fact that Mithril was used in the murder weapon was not made public. If a copycat happens to have chosen such a murder weapon, that's the level at which we're going to need proof."

It is undeniable that it is a coincidence, but it cannot be readily considered a coincidence and cleaned up - the fact that there was a misrill involved in both types of murder weapon was so great by then.

For other metals, misrills are rare metals that are severely restricted in circulation.

"It's too soon to completely abandon the possibility of being a copycat. There's a leak somewhere, and there's a line of copycats who know the real killer and know the murder weapon."

Carmine sat tight in the desk chair as she was, keeping her weight on her back and looking up at the ceiling.

"Damn...... this is not going to get me home forever. Because my sweet sister and her mistress are coming to Wangdu, but I can't do it without seeing her."
