My 【Repair】Skill Became an Almighty Cheat Skill, So I Thought I’d Open Up a Weapon Shop
Episode 218: Temporary Curtain Drawing Is Calm
The morning after I finished my second glimpse with His Majesty Alfred.
In an unpopular luxury residential neighborhood in the early morning, Roy came all the way to us loading the carriage with luggage on his way home to Green Hollow just to drop it off.
"Good morning, Mr. Luke. I heard you'd be back in Green Hollow already, so I thought I'd at least drop you off."
"It was a sudden trip. We need to get home as soon as we can when we're done."
This visit to Wangdu was a truly abrupt decision.
If they hadn't told us what was going on with Garnett, the manager would leave the next day after he suddenly decided to go to Wangdu, and he would be the wingman who would operate without a store manager and an old stock clerk.
Now that we have the Hollow Bottom branch of "The Sun Clock Forest," visitors to Green Hollow's headquarters are in a fair number, and we have enough redundancy from the branch to call for support for about one person a day.
So it doesn't mean the store won't turn around, but it still doesn't make a difference that I've caused trouble.
If there's not enough filling with the souvenirs I've already sent, you should think of something else.
"Yes, thank you for yesterday. That was the best timing. Without that, it would have been dangerous."
"No, no. I just sent the Spirit Beast as soon as I got the request. Mr. Luke was quick."
Beside the strange humility of each other, Garnett has turned a frightened gaze holding a bag of food.
"That's fine. You can carry your stuff."
"Oops, bad bad"
"I'll help, too."
With the increase in the number of hands to three, the loading of the luggage quickly progresses.
I'll try to bring some casual chatter to Roy when the work is done all the way through and he starts to take a breather.
"Even so, I didn't know your job was a request from Silver Wings."
"That's a request you received for the guild's duty to serve. I didn't know Mr. Luke had a deep relationship with the Silver Wings."
Once, when I called in the high-ranking adventurers for Green Hollow, Roy refused because he had a job he couldn't take off, and he still did when he met again a few days ago.
I had no idea that the request was for cooperation in the investigation of the Ripper of the Night (Night Ripper) case, which caused the King's Capital to make a scene, until I saw the Spirit Beast.
Later on, though, if you think about it, Roy's skills, which allow him to simultaneously use dozens of Spirit Beasts to scout, are perfect for keeping a parallel eye on multiple killer candidates.
As always, guild talent sorting is a big deal.
"It was yesterday that Lord Commander asked me about the situation, but I was really surprised. This mansion is a separate residence for the Knights, isn't it? Maybe I could have explained the situation from the beginning."
Roy looked up at Argentia's apartment, where I was staying for about a few days, smudging and leaking like that.
I do have a good relationship with the Silver Wings Knights for some reason, but it still doesn't make any difference that I'm an outsider - at least for now.
You should just stop leaking requests from the Knights to me without permission.
"Speaking of silver wings. I heard you, Mr. Luke!
Suddenly Roy circled in front of me and grabbed my shoulder disappointingly with both hands from the front.
"Mr. Luke's girlfriend was a silver-winged lady, wasn't she!
"... uh, certainly not when it comes to ladies"
"She seems like a deep-window maid who doesn't usually go out in public, and not many people have met her in person, but that sounds like a reputation for being such a beautiful girl already!
A beautiful deep-window maid and her eyes and nose lie ahead of her, but Roy didn't even notice the fact, and seemed to think of the lady of his choice in his head.
"If I had rushed to the scene, I might have seen you for a second, wouldn't I? Hey, I did a shame. So the truth is, what kind of child are you?
"Uh, something..."
I try to gaze sideways at Garnett not knowing what to respond to, but Garnett was turning his back on this one and was blatantly demonstrating his will not to mix with the story.
Do you want me to think of my own answer? If that's the case, I can't help it.
"... the kid is Garnett's sister here, so the outfit and face look a lot alike. Because they're twins."
"Oh, I see... that's easy to imagine"
Roy seemed to be fully convinced of this alone, but I don't think he's had enough.
Not this guy's understanding, but words to make him listen while he turns his back and still stands ears.
"And he's a really good guy. Don't hesitate to say it because he's not in person, but when he's gone, it's definitely life gray."
Needless to say, this guy is no big deal.
On the day Garnett returned to King's Capital in the name of the "Family Council," I fell apart surprisingly myself.
It was natural for him to always be next door, and he made me do it so many times that even though I didn't hear back from him, I would call him.
Besides, when it came to getting upset when I found out that Garnett's real purpose for homecoming was to "find a fiancé," it was enough to make me laugh when I calm down and think back.
"Mmm, is that enough for Mr. Luke to say? That's really quite enough."
"Are you used to being single?
"Oh, I didn't say that much!? I just thought I was jealous!
When I glanced at Garnett in a hurry Roy jokingly, even now he wanted to crack it and go in and kick it, it was also passed on with a hint over his back.
You might as well be ready for this to be retaliated against after you've been alone.
Just thinking about it filled my mouth with wonder.
"... yes, Mr. Luke. Your duty to serve the Alliance is about to end, so now it's time to interrupt Green Hollow."
"That would be comforting if you could come. The quest for a dungeon is still to come."
"Expect it. I'll give you a solid contribution for not being able to respond when you speak up."
As the story changed direction, the door to the mansion's front door opened and Abigail showed herself.
"Dear Garnett, this is a souvenir from our house. Give it to the people at the White Wolf store."
"Oh, no evil."
"Because they are the people Garnett takes care of from day to day. Or one more thing..."
Abigail pointed out that when he mostly leaned beside Garnett, he was even seriously sloppy.
"I accidentally pinched it in my ear, the story of Master Roy earlier. It's scaly in my eyes that I didn't have that idea."
"Am I? Anything wrong?
"Contribute by interrupting Green Hollow......! This is an idea that a single servant would never have thought of......! I also have time for my husband when it gets too...!
"Hey, don't. And of the Hundred Beasts Plains. Remember that later, damn it."
"Eh! Me!?
I was laughing and watching the three of them say something noisy.
A fuss in a relaxed atmosphere. Excellent as a curtain for an accidentally involved case.
Not all of the cases have been revealed, and I have a feeling the truth is hidden that I can't even imagine, but now is not the time to worry about that.
It's completely different from what it's looked like before - but with a deeper bond with Garnett in my chest than I can even compare, I'm just going home to Green Hollow in a bright mood.
