My 【Repair】Skill Became an Almighty Cheat Skill, So I Thought I’d Open Up a Weapon Shop
Episode 281: The Real Role
That night after my third glimpse, me and Garnett decided to stay overnight in Tribrook City.
As soon as we tried to get back to Greenhollow, we were supposed to travel through the night, so the departure was meant to be early tomorrow morning.
The accommodation was meant to be a suitable accommodation, but I was told to stay in a well-guarded place at any rate, and I was to rent a room in your residence.
"... you're restless, really"
Sit back on the bed in the assigned room and speak frankly.
The finest because you see the beds and interiors.
It's supposed to be a premise room for guests to stay in, not royalty or duke, but not out of hand to build every corner.
The prestige of the royal palace. It may be ideal for producing majesty, but it's so extravagant for me that I haven't lived very rich.
"Get used to it while you can. If you're the Knights Commander, you'll be assigned the best room in the Inn every time you travel."
Hip down next to me as Garnett grins.
The room is for one, so this time it's not the same room as Garnett's, just sitting there saying he's here to see what's going on.
I don't know if that would have happened if I had simply assigned a high-grade room, or if it would have taken into account me after grasping Garnett's gender, but I appreciate it in that regard.
Whatever it is, it's not something I know how to react to if I'm put in such a situation at the palace mansion.
"In that case, I guess I'll ask you to be normal"
"No. Entertaining knights of high nobility will be an appealing achievement for the Inn. It's my job to be entertained. I'm sure Sylvia will answer that."
In retrospect of what I have been told, in larger inns where I have stayed before, I was often proud of the letters and things that show my track record of welcoming and satisfying our guests.
Or I also feel like Spring Young Leaf Pavilion was decorated with such things.
Though my memory was rather vague because I hadn't looked very carefully at it.
"Even so... Luke Whitewolf and the White Wolf Knights... don't they look good? Maybe I should think of it as an emblem. Whoa, should I have called you Captain Luke or something?
"Stop it, I'm going to muzzle something. Just like before," The White Wolf's "or something."
Garnett is obviously laughing in the teasing half.
No matter how many Knight Symphony medals you receive and what a great title you are to be a Knight Commander, I just want people close to you to treat you in the same way you've never done before.
Especially if you don't just want your relationship with Garnett to change - unless you want to move on.
When we were having such a mindless conversation, there was a girl's voice that knocked on the door of the room and rolled the bell.
"Master Luke, are you there? Dear Angelica would like to see you. Please do not come to Angelica's room if you please"
Maybe it's someone's voice from the girls who were following Angelica.
After I met Garnett face to face, I decided to respond to the call of the Angelica Knights Commander, wondering if it was also an important business.
It was Garnett trying to leave the room after me, naturally, but the girl picking me up stops me where I tried to cross the layout.
"Master Angelica was only calling for Master Luke. Please wait here if you are with us"
"Huh!? You didn't tell me not to bring me in, did you?
"Right. But only Master Luke asked me to take you."
"You're stubborn, you hungry bastard!?
Nothing. Angelica's not trying to tighten up Garnett, she's just trying to get the girl in the conductor to call me only on the Kiko Statutes.
But it's also bad to push through the suspicious girl whether she's reaching the age of ten, so I forgive Garnett and headed to Angelica's room by myself.
The gaze Garnett sent at that time clearly seemed anxious to meet with a heterosexual other than herself, but the girl in the preaching seemed completely unaware.
"Dear Angelica, We've brought Master Luke."
"Good day. Thank you Sir Luke for your time. You should have heard it from me."
Angelica sat in her room chair and greeted me with a few of the girls following her surroundings.
"I don't mind. However, 'Sir' seems to be quick because I haven't received the Symphony yet... No, what more can I do for you?
"It's a little confidential, so would you mind if we were alone? Everyone will be waiting outside for a while."
The accompanying girls showed a thoughtful reaction - listening to me honestly and being blatantly vigilant about me - and immediately left the room.
"May I ask Lord Garnett to remove his seat, too?
"He left it in his room. The kid who picked me up insisted that I was the only one who called."
"Well...... that kid. I'm sorry. I hope my sister Alma doesn't report me badly."
As far as this reaction is concerned, apparently Sir Angelica does not grasp the true relationship between Garnett and Alma.
Anyway, asking me to move on, Angelica nodded and spread some paperwork on her lap.
"I didn't get enough time to mention it in my earlier glance, but I have received a report from Sir Theodore about the face-to-face meeting with Congressman Ayle of the Northern Tree Sea Union, including its contents."
I see. Exactly. Didn't Theodore do anything to crush that one without raising it to the royal palace?
"Demon King's Army, True Enemy, Night Ripper, Underground High Performance Golem, Alpha Zulu, Wise Man, and Northern Elves - think that the Royal Palace has the same idea for these relationships as you have."
"Ancient magical civilization… so that all of the series of events may have something to do with that unknown being"
"Yes, based on that, check this out"
Angelica crawled her fingers into the paperwork she spread on her knees, as if she'd read the letters at her fingertips, pulling one of them out and handing it to me.
Probably due to skills.
As for the lineage, it seemed close to normal [appraisal] or [analysis].
"The task entrusted to the White Wolf Knights is to oversee the exploration and investigation beneath the Demon King's Castle, but the Royal Palace sees the purpose of the investigation as' a factual elucidation of ancient magical civilization 'and' an investigation of its relevance to a series of incidents'".
The same statement is made in the documents given.
It was no longer a purpose setting that even went beyond the pursuit of the Demon King's army and looked further ahead.
"I mean, the real role of the White Wolf Knights is to unravel the reality of ancient magical civilization... that's what you mean. Exploring the Underground of Demon King's Castle by the Adventurer is only a means of doing so."
"The cleric knights that the Knights of the Neon Scale plan to send have also selected talent based on that premise. I don't know about the other Knights... but at least we are."
Investigative elucidation of ancient magical civilizations with advanced golem technology.
Strange stuff.
I can't stop my chest from squealing and the edge of my mouth from loosening, even though it may be a nasty and tougher role than being a knight receiving a medal and being able to sit on the Knights Commander if I'm bad.
"At the moment, it's enough for you to grasp that the Royal Palace thinks this way. Let's slowly prepare ourselves, including the development of a time to lift the information ban."
I embraced my new role and left Sir Angelica's room behind.
My heart is higher than the offense of any unknown dungeon.
I couldn't do it if you told me not to get excited.
I've been an adventurer for fifteen years, because I've been entrusted with pursuing one of the world's finest mysteries.
... But it's another story that threatens to mislead me from Garnett because I can't stop laughing and go back out of Angelica's room.
