Immediately after receiving a request from Oswald of the Grey Eagle Knights, I decided to gather Noir and Alexia, who are likely to be deeply involved in this product development, for a meeting in the store and residential living room.

The store leaves it to Garnett and Erica, and Leila.

It was a convenient day when all the staff at the head office were at work.

"Well, look at this dossier first."

Show both of you the documents you kept from Oswald and explain the details of your request.

Although I replied that I would take the request for the first time, I don't know if it can be achieved without asking the two of them for their views.

In some cases, I would put a no to Oswald again.

"I see...... is the priority highly portable and sustainable and the cost reduction secondary? That's right, the Knights can afford a budget."

"But it's also important to know if we can get the numbers together. Productivity is important because we're going to let a lot of people use it."

"You can outsource production as long as you can design it. It's difficult to increase the price just for that matter."

Alexia nods small and thinks again and again.

When craftsmanship technology is used to make it, it still seems difficult to 'make it cheaper'.

But a demon prop won't mean you can easily satisfy the conditions.

This is because there is a 'limited number of people who can work' problem here.

"That's right. It's not that I don't have a stock of design proposals, but it doesn't feel like I'm packing one right now. What if I make up for what's caught with magic props?"

Alexia waved flirtatiously as she said so, adding that she had no further ideas now.

"How's the noir? You think you can do something about it?

"... heating, of... spelling scroll, then... it's not enough, you know..."

"Spell scrolling seems to make it difficult to use while walking around"

"Open it, or you won't be able to use it.

Normal spelling scrolling is precisely the appearance of a scroll, such as a scroll, which is characterised by the fact that it cannot be activated without spreading it and once used, it is disposable that the scroll itself collapses without being stopped en route.

The former has a strong connotation as a safety against malfunction, and the latter is considered an inevitable drawback in principle of activating magic through magic on a pattern drawn on paper.

One scroll per magic is not the kind of magic item that is easily used in the main because of the high production cost and the limited number of items that can be carried.

The 'heating' scroll, which seems to be used relatively frequently, has been able to take a single activation time for a long time, thanks to its low output because it is just magic to take warmth, but there was nevertheless nothing I could do about the low portability.

"Then how about we use a spell?

I'll casually put an idea in my mouth.

Spellscrolling is a powerful magic tool that can be used without having to have magical skills, but there are various problems in terms of user-friendliness.

So based on the knowledge of Eastern curses gained via Sakura, it was the miniature version of the spelling scroll… the so-called spell that reduced the disadvantages of scrolling.

A magical item with a magical pattern on a flat-sized piece of paper, it is a substitute for being small in size and easy to carry for that matter.

"Carrying, is… easy, but… the effect is also, weak, from… directly, touching, if not… warm, maybe not…"

"Well, if you stand over there, it feels like you can't stand over here."

Well, if it's an easy problem to solve, the Grey Eagle Knights won't send Oswald all the way either.

For one thing, I decided to ask Noir and Alexia to work out ideas to meet the specifications with each skill, and I decided to go back to the store.

I think it's just hard to synchronize the normal business in store with product development, so I'm going to ask this one to focus on it for a while.

"Hmm, are those guys still in the back?

Garnett, sitting at the accounting counter, looks back over his shoulder and is surprised that Noir and Alexia are not back.

I sat down next to it and briefed Garnett on the outcome of the earlier meeting as I prepared to deal with the customer buying the product.

"I thought I'd ask each of you to work out a plan from both skill and magic props. Just make some prototypes, and I'll be sure to ask Sir Oswald which one is better."

"Well, will it? The store (over here) has been understaffed for a while. Why don't you ask Sakura for some help?

"Is it quicker than making a request to the Alliance House"

Of course, Sakura has her main business as an adventurer, so I'm talking about the premise that if she's free.

"... right. Hey, Erica."

With a face that came up with something, Garnett spoke to Erica, who was lining up the goods on the shelf in front of the counter.

"Can't you formulate a medicine that warms your body if you take it? It's hot, so it's not warm. It's how he gets his temperature up."

"For once, isn't that how the people over there are trying it? You're more of a northern pharmacist."

"Uh, so is that"

Leaking an unfortunate voice, Garnett weighed himself on the back of the chair behind the counter.

There is no way that people living in a cold place called the North of the Continent are failing to study how to outrun the cold.

It is also hard to imagine that we should be surviving a harsh winter by any means we can execute on them and that the Grey Eagle Knights, who protect the North, are not benefiting from it.

In other words, the job we are asked to do is to develop means that even the Northerners, whose problem is surviving the cold, have not been able to achieve.

And here are two skills that are rare among ordinary people: witchcraft.

Machinery technology, which until recent years was monopolized in certain cities and is still less widespread today, and wizard subskills, which usually have less involvement in the general society than money earners.

Using a skill that can also be called a two-piece sign in the White Wolf store to create a cold proof item that has not yet been put into practical use - now this could be quite a bone breaking job.
