- By the time the White Wolf Knights played an unfamiliar role in the King's Capital, the exploration of certain adventurers was about to achieve great results in The Ark of Elements near Greenhollow Town.

Its site is the first tier of the "Ark of Elements", formerly the "Demon King's Castle Area", a desolate rocky mountain and wilderness underground space that will continue to be called as a nickname even after the designation has been updated.

Many adventurers head from the path that leads to the earth to the second tier through Demon King Castle under the control of the Golden Tooth Knights, but some take to the opposite rocky mountain.

The site of the exploration, which is about to make progress, was a huge vertical hole with a pompous mouth between the vast rocky mountain areas.

From such a huge hole that one town might be swallowed whole, irregularly dragons fly up into the first tier of the sky and identify the vast underground wilderness as a new place to live.

And to escape the dragon's attention, many adventurers were going underground along the walls of the great hole.

Nevertheless, I'm not clinging to rock skin and looking down.

The route of movement leads helically along the wall to the lower layer, a half-tunnel passageway… a massive artificial passageway, also known as a helical staircase buried about half in rocky skin.

The basic structure is a helical loose tunnel, but it can also be recognized so that there is a horizontal hole in the wall just about the height of the window and the helical groove continues from the top edge to the bottom edge from the center of the large hole.

A dragon flying to the first tier does not miss an organism trying to crawl down the wall intact.

There is no other means of safely and securely pointing to the bottom of the big hole than this passage.

"But, well, you're lucky you've only found any passage now. I don't know if they're demons or humans, but they're the ancient people who made them."

A group of adventurers down the spiral passage towards the bottom had a sturdy figure with a noble atmosphere.

Theodore Beaufort, A-Rank Adventurer.

A stranger with two dragon slayer names, the son of a grand aristocratic borderline uncle, who wanted to enjoy the dragon as an object of hunting but became an adventurer for it.

Even in this "Ark of Elements," he is an exceptional person who is only interested in dragon entanglement projects and does not show interest in the second tier, where many adventurers arrive.

Beside enjoying dragon hunting on the first tier, Theodore was surprised (a lot) that no matter how much he hunted, there was no sign that the number of dragon habitats would decrease, and wondered if the dragon was moving from one tier to another, embarking on a search for the depths of the first tier that had not been looked at until then.

As a result of the search, we discovered the dragon's location and the great hole - and on this day, we were one step ahead of a more significant discovery.

"I know I could have gotten down to the bottom of it all by myself, but given my long-term exploration, I can't do it without bringing in people and supplies."

"Absolutely. Nevertheless, could this big hole be artificial as well, that there was such a solid passage?"

Other adventurers who were accompanying him appear intrigued to agree and question.

"No, the big hole itself is not artificial, and it's possible that I dug the road for convenience later. If only we had enough time, we could have made the same thing. It would have been easier if they could have mass-produced the golem."

This spiral passage was not made by Theodore and the others.

It is a so-called remains, sculpted out of rock skin long ago.

Theodore and the others discovered this passage buried in dirt and sand over the years, mobilizing a large number of adventurers to continue attempting to remove the dirt and sand.

"But it was completely buried with dirt, so it was hard to just dig it back though. It was a dormant golem, a magical trap, a fuss that I didn't want to go through again."

To yet another adventurer's leaked blur, Theodore replied with a laugh that seemed less concerned.

"No, no, this is a good experience, too. Steal the dragon's eyes and continue working, cutting through the encounter with the Golem in a narrow passage. That would be a tough stimulus for the young guys, wouldn't it?

"You care about young people, don't you? I thought that was the exclusive patent for Black Sword Mountain."

"Don't be rude, you are. It's not a demon hunt (Dustin), and sometimes I think about it."

"Sometimes, after all"

With such a joking conversation, the line goes down so deep that you don't know how far it will go.

"- Well, that's it for the easy way."

The spiral passage was suddenly coming to an end.

The passage is plumply interrupted at the end of a place that has been opened as if it were a dance floor, joining the big hole as if it were a jumping platform or something.

Just in front of it, once again, a space that you can't help but feel artificial is carved out towards the inside of the rock wall, and a base (camp) is set up for a large group of adventurers to stay in.

"The excavation work was temporarily interrupted where we discovered this place. The last expedition was successfully scheduled to take place until a base (camp) was established at this location. I took care of it twice, but it's time to move on to the next stage."

From the edge of the interrupted passage, Theodore looked down with pleasure at the bottom of the great hole.

At the bottom of the big hole, you can see a blurry red light, and the heat is blowing up as if it were the summer wind in the southern region.

"I'll see how it goes on my own first. If that doesn't sound like a problem, try rope descent."

"Then have a rope."

"I don't need it. You'll be back by the time the magic runs out."

"What...?

Theodore said so, and even naturally stepped into the void.

"Wow!?

Even when a young adventurer screams, things don't happen the way he imagined.

Because Theodore was walking very naturally in the air in a foothold that seemed to trample an invisible scaffold.

"I also have these skills. Well, it's not very fuel-efficient, so I can't run down from top to bottom of a big hole. I don't have enough training either."

Theodore walks down the air along the walls of the great hole, as if taking a walk with a superior face.

But gradually the smile also faded, eventually turning into a smile that deluded urgency and consternation.

- The big hole also broke off on the way.

It corresponds to the ceiling (sora) of some hierarchy, where large holes are worn and connected to the first hierarchy.

Unlike the first and second tiers, there was no light in the ceiling (sora) of this hierarchy, but its vast underground space was filled with red and orange light.

The source of light was - the flame, the great rock that housed heat and light, and the lava that melted hot and scattered splashes.

"... I wonder if this guy finally needs the help of our Knights Chief"

Theodore stood in the air with a shaved ceiling, which represented the sight in front of him.

"The obvious hierarchy of fire - apparently we've swept through the third hierarchy to reach the fourth."
