My Second Marriage with the Mafia Kingpin

Chapter 480: Dickless Ghost

Meanwhile...

"She still learned a lesson she’ll never forget. I made sure she witnessed something no child ever should." Addict laughed, his grin widening. "You know... showing her how women spread their legs while a man works his miracles."

Red lowered his head, his expression darkening as he listened to the man’s incessant yapping.

He wasn’t the only one.

The prisoners’ faces twisted with rage. Some ground their teeth so hard their jaws trembled. Others clasped their hands into fists until their shoulders shook.

They had met Ashley earlier. Had they not heard Addict’s story, they would’ve dismissed her as nothing more than a smiling psychopath—a woman who called herself a hero despite looking more like a villain.

Sure, she was skilled.

But she still seemed insane.

Nothing about Ashley told them she was normal. Obviously, she was not.

Now, they finally understood.

If Ashley had endured all of this, then it made perfect sense why she wanted this place burned to the ground.

She understood every prisoner’s pain.

Every prisoner’s hatred.

And why this place should disappear from the face of the earth.

"Oh, come on!" Addict cackled. "It wasn’t that bad. I’m sure she’d tell you herself that spreading those legs was just as wonderful as I told her. Wasn’t she moaning loudly while you were screwing her?"

Red’s tense shoulders slowly relaxed, and his clenched fist loosened. He lifted his head just enough to study the mocking smile plastered across Addict’s face.

"I’m sorry," he said quietly.

"Huh?" Addict leaned closer with exaggerated curiosity, cupping a hand behind his ear. "What was that?"

Red ignored him.

Instead, he looked at the prisoners.

The prisoners met his gaze, drew a deep breath, and nodded.

"Thank you," Old Fool whispered with a faint smile. "For letting us fight beside you."

"I was planning to eat some good meat tomorrow," another prisoner chuckled quietly. "Guess this is as far as I go."

He smiled at Red. "Eat some for us too."

"Make sure it’s premium grade," another muttered, earning a few tired chuckles. "I forgot the taste of meat, so eat a lot for us."

Old Fool smiled at his comrades before looking back at Red.

They had fought as hard as they could.

If Red made his move now, none of them would blame him.

The enemies would undoubtedly open fire the moment he did. Unlike Red, they weren’t skilled enough to survive unarmed.

But... they could still become his shield.

"Just promise us one thing," Old Fool muttered. "Kill these bastards. Don’t let a single one of them escape."

"Hey!" Addict barked. "What the hell are you all whispering about over there?!"

Red let out a quiet snort. A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.

"Idiots," he muttered. Then he looked straight at Addict.

"I’m not the emotional type. I was sorry because... this is as far as you can help me."

"Huh?"

The prisoners frowned in confusion, only to see Red’s eyes gleamed with dangerous intent.

He ignored every rifle aimed at him. His focus remained fixed solely on Addict.

He drew a slow breath.

Then roared, "DUCK!"

The instant his voice echoed through the hallway, every prisoner instinctively threw themselves to the floor, covering their heads.

At the same time, Red kicked the rifle lying at his feet.

The weapon flipped into the air.

Within a heartbeat, it landed perfectly in his hands.

BANG! BANG!

He opened fire straight at Addict. Yet, the soldiers surrounding him dropped first almost simultaneously.

"Ack—!"

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The hallway erupted into deafening gunfire. Concrete splintered overhead, raining dust and debris onto the prisoners below.

The sharp stench of gunpowder quickly filled the air, but none of the prisoners dared move.

They remained curled on the floor, flinching every time another body collapsed beside them.

The barrage of bullets seemed endless. Yet the firefight itself lasted barely a minute before silence ensued.

Broken only by the groans of dying men.

"Ugh... agh..."

Addict staggered backward, clutching his shoulder where a bullet had torn through.

"Is... is it over?" one prisoner whispered nearly ten seconds after the last shot rang out.

Another cautiously lifted his head.

Smoke blanketed the hallway. Through it, he saw someone drop from an air vent. He narrowed his eyes, waiting for the smoke to clear.

As it slowly thinned, a young man calmly approached them.

Rus.

"Did..." one prisoner whispered in disbelief. "Did he just come out of the vent?"

Rus swept his gaze across the prisoners before looking toward a soldier stepping into the hallway.

"Tank," he called. "Everything clear?"

The prisoners instinctively recoiled at the sight of Tank. The man wore the same uniform as the other soldiers. The only difference was that a white handkerchief was tied around his bicep.

Tank didn’t answer immediately.

He scanned the hallway.

The moment movement flickered in the corner of his eye, he raised his rifle.

BANG!

The hidden soldier’s head snapped backward before he hit the floor. Only then did Tank glance at Rus and give a single nod.

"I think we’re good," Rus said, turning back to the prisoners as he extended a hand. "We’re with Red. We work for Madam too. You’re safe now."

The prisoners simply stared.

Moments ago, they had accepted death. They had been ready to throw themselves in front of bullets so Red could survive.

Yet all along, one ally had been hiding in the ventilation system while the other had blended in with the enemy.

No wonder Red hadn’t bothered worrying about the soldiers surrounding him, and why he told them to lower their weapons.

As Tank and Rus helped the prisoners to their feet, another burst of gunfire echoed nearby.

Startled, everyone turned.

There, all they saw was Red standing over Addict.

His rifle was aimed downward, directly at Addict’s groin.

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

Red emptied the entire magazine. He made sure Addict died with his groin completely destroyed.

Click.

Click.

Even after the rifle ran empty, Red kept pulling the trigger. After another moment, he tossed the weapon aside.

"I heard ghosts keep the wounds they die with," he muttered, and then he stomped down on Addict’s pelvis.

Crack.

"So spend eternity without your dick... you motherfucker."

He stomped at it again, and again, and again... until Addict’s pelvis finally shattered beneath his boot.
