Chapter 1633 - 1632: Market Fun (1)
A broken bed was definitely not going to stop Jahi from getting what she wanted, so before I could suggest postponing this for when we had the replacement bed she just promptly made sure the bed was flat against the ground before tearing at my clothes, reminding me why I loved her so damn much.
When we were finally free from one another’s embrace, twenty minutes had been stolen from us in a flash of heat and sweaty entanglement as we peeled ourselves apart and stumbled into the bath, washing up while reminiscing slightly.
By that... well, I needn’t explain, because a majority of our memories that would be tied to a place with a bed or a bath would always involve our nude figures and intense throes of passion that were as inhuman as we were.
A fresh dress and the promise that tonight would be even better were what I left our bedroom with, and upon returning to the rest of the house I immediately had my pups swarming me while Anput sauntered past me and pushed Jahi back into that room, claiming her own time with our wife without asking anyone anything.
The double dose of external emotions I felt as my mate and Soul Bound Mistress engaged in the rough battle that they always loved made it rather hard for me to pay attention to the disc that I was throwing for my pups, but I managed.
Leone distracted me twice as she unintentionally displayed herself right in my line of sight while holding Gabrielle and another time when she sheepishly asked for a snack, pulling me from my mind slightly and helping those twenty minutes pass by in a blink as well.
Before we knew it we were on the populated roads leading down to the market, each of us responsible for some of the children; Anput had Gabrielle and Samara, Leone was holding Astra, Jahi had Camilla while I endured the constant cuddling of Nicoletta and coaxing I had to do to ensure Zariah required.
All the people around us was apparently overstimulating for all the pups, let alone the ever cautious and paranoid Zariah, yet at the same time their curiosity about practically everything made it rather easy for them to look around even if they were feeling a bit overwhelmed... even for Zariah.
We had agreed that browsing the open stalls would be best first before we started heading into actual stores together, and to that extent we were remaining within an area of one another as best we could, but obviously...
"Mama, Mama! Look! What’s that?"
Nicoletta wanted to go see the gigantic spit roast of meat that was being carved up and stuffed into a bun with some vegetable mix, and after so long I had to admit I was a bit peckish, so that was where I went.
I could hear Astra already telling Leone to take her over to the gemstones that were being sold, while Camilla was listening and nodding as Jahi explained what different kinds of weapons did what right in front of a very nervous looking blacksmith.
We were a little spread out but that was honestly perfect, because now I could stand in front of a cart to order food with two hungry pups while the others got to look at the things they wanted without rushing me, and that... was a bit blissful.
The older woman at the cart grinned at me and handed over a fatter bun when she looked at my pups and then my belly, her own fluffy ears twitching as she congratulated me for another litter and praised me for dealing with these two.
It was something that amused me since there hadn’t been anyone that had given me odd looks yet for having two pups already attached to me and an obvious pregnant bump, though then again I didn’t care anyways...
I was just reminded of my old world and how things were handled there when it came to children, though just thinking about something that was so long ago at this point made me feel nothing more than gratitude that I had ended up here instead.
Nicoletta slid from my arms and walked beside me while munching on her bun, allowing me to eat freely and offer Zariah a bite whenever she wanted one, the two of us sharing it as we began to wander around the various stalls.
"Mama, can we get something sweet before going home..?"
Where Nicoletta was far more interested in the weapons - just like Camilla - Zariah just seemed to be yearning for home already, though she snuggled against me first and didn’t directly state it as she just watched her sister.
"Of course. Don’t you want to look?"
She shook her head before leaning against me, still quietly watching as Nicoletta looked at the flanged mace made from some sort of alloyed metal with wide eyes filled with fascination; a quick look at it made me think it was a showpiece since the detailing was far too intricate, but the blacksmith was bragging about how it could put down the Ash Ghouls like they were nothing.
Which... to be fair, he wasn’t entirely wrong since it was still a heavy rod of metal, but that was besides the point; I quietly looked over the rest of the weapons and ignored how he seemed to want to impress me with his craftsmanship, only to don a smug smile as Jahi sauntered over with Camilla.
The looming presence of the Demoness dashed that man’s hopes immediately, and instead he began to sweat as Camilla and Nicoletta argued about the mace since Camilla called it useless and flashy... while Jahi just gave him a small, knowing smile.
I just pulled them away a moment later and left him with that, not wanting to bother and instead enjoying this like it was a date with my Demoness... who was clearly having a hard time not putting her hands on me the entire time we walked around, especially after anyone complimented me, the pups and us as a couple.
