Chapter 1576 - 1445: Auction (Part 3)_2
Upon hearing the elder’s words, Uncle Fu felt a vague sense of doubt, but he couldn’t afford to ponder too much at this moment as he urgently needed a Nascent Soul.
Immediately after, Uncle Fu quickly dashed towards the top floor.
Ye Guichen heard the elder’s words and pondered deeply, recalling the soul attack that emanated from the top floor when he entered the Spirit Treasure Pavilion and grew increasingly interested in the Pavilion Master of the Spirit Treasure Pavilion. Moreover, Ye Guichen vaguely sensed that the Pavilion Master seemed to be the Black Robed Envoy of the Holy Temple.
Ye Guichen immediately drew his Immortal Slayer Sword and cut through the chains of the barbarian, instructing the barbarian to temporarily search for Shen Qianjun, while he quietly followed behind Uncle Fu.
In the blink of an eye, Uncle Fu arrived at the top floor where the door was tightly closed, with not a soul in sight.
Uncle Fu directly pushed the door open and cautiously stepped inside, only for the door to abruptly close on its own.
Soon after, Ye Guichen also arrived outside the door, feeling the chilly atmosphere seeping around, causing his soul to tremble involuntarily. Observing carefully, he noticed that the door crease seemed to have a constant flow of soul force, reinforcing his suspicions.
With a flicker of his form, Ye Guichen entered through the door, holding his breath and concentrating as he observed his surroundings.
The room was shrouded in darkness and silent, faint footsteps seemed to echo continuously forward.
Uncle Fu channeled True Qi into his eyes, cautiously moving forward step by step along the long and desolate passage. The further he walked, the more he felt a primal sense of unease, as if danger was instinctively warning him.
After roughly a quarter of an hour, his view suddenly expanded as he stumbled upon a gigantic circular array set in the center. Within the disc was a cattail leaf fan, with the Nine Nether Dragon Soul Grass spinning around it; a black-robed individual sat at the very center, wholly absorbed in absorbing the Nine Nether Dragon Soul Grass.
Seeing the black-robed figure’s back, Uncle Fu politely said, "I assume you are the Pavilion Master of the Spirit Treasure Pavilion. Could you tell me where my Nascent Soul is?"
The black-robed individual on the fan seemed displeased upon hearing Uncle Fu’s words, turned around with eyes that shot a piercing cold light abruptly at Uncle Fu.
Seeing the forthcoming assault, Uncle Fu was infuriated, quickly forming hand seals to conjure a short True Qi sword in mid-air, commanding it to thrust forward rapidly.
The two forces collided swiftly, erupting into a loud bang that dissolved into nothingness.
Noticing the black-robed individual attacking him indiscriminately, Uncle Fu’s expression darkened.
"What is the meaning of this? Are you trying to monopolize the treasure?" Uncle Fu’s eyes were filled with rage, his fist clenching unconsciously as he glared at the black-robed individual, only to realize he couldn’t see the person’s face; their form seemed to float in mid-air.
All of a sudden, the Nine Nether Dragon Soul Grass in the air vanished into thin air. The black-robed individual sensed the power from their soul, letting out a sinister chuckle from the corners of their mouth.
With a wave of his cloak, the black-robed individual revealed the Nascent Soul in his hand, looking at Uncle Fu with amusement and taunting, "The Nascent Soul is right here in my hand, come and get it if you dare!"
Upon hearing the black-robed individual’s words, Uncle Fu ceased further dialogue, stomping his feet firmly and drawing a sword in the air.
The sword was azure, with a dragon pattern coiling along the blade, exuding an ancient and majestic aura.
"Swish, swish, swish!"
Three streaks of azure sword light slashed towards the black-robed individual, sealing off the surrounding space. Uncle Fu pointed the dragon-patterned sword towards the black-robed figure.
However, the black-robed individual in the distance seemed petrified by the approaching sword momentum, standing in place awaiting the impending attack.
The sword light pierced straight through the black-robed individual’s body.
Uncle Fu steadied himself and looked behind, but did not see the scenario he had imagined; the black-robed individual’s form had long since vanished.
"What? A phantom?"
Uncle Fu exclaimed in surprise, unable to fathom the swiftness of the black-robed individual, able to escape so easily even after he had sealed off all space.
Just then, fine ripples appeared in the space as a shadow materialized before Uncle Fu, a face full of disdain.
"With such limited abilities, you still think you can take away the Nascent Soul from me? Better hand over all your Nine Nether Dragon Soul Grass!" the black-robed individual said ominously.
"How do you know I still have Nine Nether Dragon Soul Grass?" Uncle Fu’s face was filled with shock.
To know his Nine Nether Dragon Soul Grass accompanied the Blood Nether Pearl, located in a particularly secretive place; he had only ventured halfway before fearing to explore further.
Yet despite this, he had paid a heavy price for it, resulting in damage to his Dantian, causing it to ache faintly every time he used True Qi, the reason why he needed a Nascent Soul for recovery.
To think the black-robed individual knew he possessed more Nine Nether Dragon Soul Grass, thinking about the terror associated with that place left Uncle Fu deeply frightened.
While enwrapped in thought, he saw a ghostly face formed by soul force, wailing as it launched towards Uncle Fu.
"A soul attack?" Uncle Fu looked solemnly at the black-robed individual.
Watching the ghostly face before him, Uncle Fu’s expression was grave, biting down hard on his tongue, he spat a mouthful of blood onto the dragon-patterned sword, the runes on the blade seemed to come alive, writhing over the sword.
"Dragon Roams the World!"
The dragon suddenly surged from the sword tip with ferocity, letting out a low roar at the ghostly face, raising its dragon claws to tear it apart.
The dragon and ghostly face tangled endlessly in mid-air; the ghostly face was incredibly agile, evading the dragon claws several times, leaving both sides at a standstill.
