Chapter 104: Upgrade

Extraordinary materials.
After several seconds, Aurelius had divided the items into several main categories.
He set aside those that could not be used for now and quickly went through the Skill Books to learn the skills they contained.
Seeing the skills section on his Player Panel slowly expand, he nodded subtly, especially when he saw the Intelligence enhancement provided by the Knowledge Library.
Before long, Aurelius focused on the materials.
Since they had been collected by a Rank 3 Goblin Warlock, it was obvious that they were all valuable.
If they were traded for gold, their value would be enough for an ordinary person to buy a large mansion in the Imperial Capital.
However, what attracted Aurelius’ attention was not their monetary value, but how he could use them.
He focused on two things.
Colorful Flower. Silverfrost Stone.
The former was formed in areas rich in pure Mana.
As for the latter, it was commonly found in areas with extremely low temperatures.
Aurelius suspected it had been formed as a result of the Sea God’s Trident’s power, and had subsequently been collected by the Goblin Warlock.
The reason Aurelius paid attention to these two was simple.
They were both Rank 3 materials.
More importantly, they were materials he could recognize and had been actively searching for.
Colorful Flower was the main ingredient for a Potion he had been working to refine.
Silverfrost Stone was a material required for the forging of the Mystery Cloak.
Holding the latter and feeling the faint cold seeping into his palm, Aurelius couldn’t help but feel a burst of excitement.
He silently went through the long list of materials required for the Mystery Cloak.
The result was truly surprising.
He discovered that most of them had been collected.
Only a few remained, and they happened to be the easiest to collect.
Even if he couldn’t find them in Blood Sun City, he had a high chance of finding them if he searched the surrounding cities and visited some nearby monster habitats.
’It’s only been so long since I got the Sea God’s Trident. Am I going to obtain another Epic Relic this soon?’ Aurelius wondered.
He had just obtained an Elite Relic. He had never even seen a Rare Relic.
Yet he was already on his way to collect two Epic Relics.
Perhaps this was the first time such a thing had happened in the long history of Nova Roma.
And it had happened to an ’ordinary’ Rank 2 Awakener.
It took some time for Aurelius to calm down.
In the end, he placed both these items aside and waited for TheoryMaster69 to complete the trades in the rooms below.
In the meantime, he focused on something else.
His Level.
With a thought, he summoned the Player Panel.
Lines of text immediately materialized in front of him.

Aurelius focused on the bottom.
More precisely, at the Experience he had managed to accumulate.
22050!
To be honest, even Aurelius was somewhat surprised.
He knew that the EXP he had gotten during this time was massive, whether it came through the completion of Missions, killing monsters, or slaying the Goblin Warlock and completing an achievement.
Yet even he had never expected that it had managed to reach such a level.
His gaze focused on his three Classes.
Alchemist remained capped at Level 25, being the highest among all three.
He would have to upgrade Arcanist if he wanted to see it improve any further.
As for Arcanist and Class Creator, they were both free to upgrade.
During his trip with Medea, he had brought Class Creator to Level 11 before exhausting his Experience.
By now, upgrading it required just under half as much EXP as upgrading Arcanist.
For one more time, Aurelius wondered whether it had been worth it to inherit this Sub-Class.
Combined with Arcanist, he now had two EXP monsters that he had to feed!
It was inevitable that he felt frustrated.
Thankfully, he had long come to terms with it.
He had known that Class Creator was special ever since he obtained it.
Despite being costly to upgrade, it had granted him the Talent Trade and Teaching.
The former had already shown its power, while the latter possessed similar potential.
Even the Base Stat enhancement was worth it, improving the mysterious and hard-to-judge Luck.
In the end, Aurelius stopped thinking about this matter.
Having obtained a vast amount of Experience, he didn’t choose to keep it.
He understood that every resource should ultimately be converted into strength. And for him, the most important resource was Experience.
Since that was the case, he had no reason to hesitate.
He decided to immediately put it to use.
He wasn’t targeting any of his Sub-Classes this time, but rather his Main Class.
Arcanist.
After a long while, it was time to upgrade his overall Level too.
A torrent of notifications flooded his vision as he pressed on the (+) button.
The Player Panel flickered, with the EXP draining away as a result.
However, Aurelius showed no sorrow about it.
He maintained a faint smile on his face, watching his Arcanist Level rise at an astonishing rate.
