Chapter 118: The Legendary Evolution
His heartbeat returned. At that exact moment, the Chronos Tear crumbled into countless particles of light and disappeared.
The black heart instantly shot into Nova’s chest and forcefully merged with his newly restored heart.
Ding!
[Chronos Tear has successfully resurrected the Host.]
Nova’s eyes snapped open. He had been resurrected. His body was completely restored.
But before he could process what had happened, an unbearable, bone-crushing pain exploded throughout his body once again.
Ding!
[Critical Warning: A High-Level Dragonic Demon Heart has forcibly fused with the Host’s heart.]
[Critical Warning: The Host’s life is in imminent danger.]
"AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!"
A horrifying scream tore out of Nova’s throat. He couldn’t understand what was happening. Just moments ago, he had been certain that he had died.
He had felt his consciousness sink into complete oblivion. Yet the very next second, he had opened his eyes in a strange place filled with incredibly dense pressure and aura.
He immediately recognized it. Demonic energy. Before he could think any further, the system notifications appeared before him. The black heart he had seen on the battlefield had fused with his own heart.
Nova instantly realized that the Chronos Tear must have resurrected him. It was the only logical explanation. But now...His newly restored heart was trying to kill him all over again.
He continued screaming as his body convulsed violently. Then his eyes landed on one particular phrase.
Dragonic Demon Heart...!!
Before he could even process those words, another notification appeared.
Ding!
[Infinite Adaptation Core has been activated...]
[Mutation has been activated...]
Ding!
[Infinite Adaptation Core and Mutation are working together to stabilize the Host’s new heart.]
[Necessary mutations and physiological changes are being performed on the Host’s body.]
[...]

[...]
Both skills desperately searched for a way to keep Nova alive. The dragonic Demon Heart had already fused with his newly restored human heart.
Moreover, that dragonic demon heart had absorbed the remnants of Nova’s original, half-destroyed heart, making the fusion irreversible.
Nova didn’t even realize how much time had passed since the pain had begun. Thankfully, his Pain Resistance had already reached a very high level.
Even so...the agony was so unbearable that all he could do was scream as if he were being burned alive, while his skills continued working relentlessly.
Ding!
[The Host has successfully surpassed Level 1000.]
[Second Evolution Threshold has been reached.]
Ding!
[The Host’s existing mutations and natural King Realm evolution are now synchronizing under the Infinite Adaptation Core.]
[All evolutionary processes are being combined to create a Legendary Evolution.]
Ding!
[Legendary Evolution has been initiated...]
Suddenly, Nova’s body began absorbing the surrounding demonic energy at an astonishing rate. His Demonic Dominion Aura erupted uncontrollably.
At the same time, the chaos energy within him became even more violent. Nova had never been able to completely control Chaos Energy.
Perhaps he had managed to suppress it to some extent before...but Chaos Energy was far more powerful than demonic energy.
The two forces immediately began clashing inside his body. Just then, another notification appeared.
Ding!
[Mutation has evolved into an S+ Rank Skill.]
The moment the notification appeared, the previously wild Chaos Energy was gradually subdued under the influence of the evolved Mutation skill.
It no longer resisted the demonic energy. Instead, both forces began working together under the control of the Infinite Adaptation Core.
The Legendary Evolution continued without pause. Nova’s screams never subsided. Then, a familiar phenomenon occurred once again. A thick, slime-like substance began pouring out of Nova’s mouth.
But this time...It was black, slowly it spread across his entire body, completely covering him and forming a cocoon that trapped even his agonizing screams inside.
As time passed, the screams gradually faded away. Unable to endure the unimaginable pain any longer, Nova finally lost consciousness, yet the Legendary Evolution never stopped.
Every part of his being was undergoing an unimaginably terrifying transformation. His physicque , his organs...his bloodline...even his soul...everything was changing or to be exact began evolving.
Yet one thing remained certain. Nova’s consciousness itself had not changed.
Inside the System Training Space, which had stopped crumbling only after Nova’s resurrection, Liya silently watched his Legendary Evolution. A trace of concern flashed across her eyes as she quietly muttered,
{Just endure a little longer, my host...when this is over, you’ll be far stronger than before. Soon... the entire world will tremble before you. You only need to overcome that terrifying consciousness and soul of the Demon Lord...and make its power your own...thanks to him.}
....
Long before the current era, when the world was still divided by endless wars, there existed a being whose very name struck fear into every race—Demon Lord Raze.
Raze was unlike any creature the world had ever seen. He was born from the union of two supreme bloodlines. His mother was a pure-blooded princess of the Demon Royal Family, while his father was a pure-blooded prince of the Dragon Royal Family.
Both bloodlines had been personally blessed by the Demon God and the Dragon God, making Raze a once-in-an-eternity existence.
However, such a union was considered an unforgivable taboo.
Feared and condemned by both races, Raze’s parents were hunted down and executed by their own people. The dragons branded them as traitors, while the demons condemned them as sinners.
Left alone in a cruel world, the young Raze grew up surrounded by hatred, betrayal, and bloodshed.
As the years passed, his power grew beyond imagination. Possessing the overwhelming might of both dragons and demons, he surpassed every Demon Lord before him and became the strongest Demon Lord in history.
Driven by vengeance, Raze declared war upon the world.
One after another, kingdoms fell beneath his army. Entire continents were consumed by flames and darkness, countless civilizations were reduced to ruins,
and even the mighty dragons, once considered the strongest, feared facing him in battle. His name became synonymous with catastrophe, and the era came to be remembered as the AGE OF RUIN.
Realizing that no single force could stop him, the rulers of the world formed an unprecedented alliance. The Five Great Emperors united their armies and challenged Raze in the barren wasteland now known as the Desolate Land.
The battle lasted for days and nights, shaking the heavens and splitting the earth. Mountains crumbled, rivers vanished, and the battlefield was forever scarred.
Although Raze displayed terrifying strength that pushed all five emperors to their limits, even he could not overcome their combined might.
In the end, Demon Lord Raze fell.
After his death, the remaining Demon Lords carried his body back to the Abyss, intending to devour his heart and inherit his unparalleled power.
Yet before they could do so, Raze’s two most loyal generals, Azren and Voren, secretly stole his heart and vanished into the shadows.
For centuries, they remained hidden from both the demon race and the other powers of the world. From the darkness,
they joined forces with the mysterious Blood Moon Cult, gathering forbidden treasures, performing ancient rituals, and offering countless sacrifices.
Their goal had never changed. To resurrect the strongest Demon Lord in history.....and allow Raze to plunge the world into darkness once more.
And so it continued for hundreds of years.
Time passed, and the Era of Ruin eventually came to an end. Under the rule of the Five Emperors, each representing one of the world’s great races, peace gradually spread across the world.
However, that peace existed only on the surface.
Behind the facade of harmony, countless massacres, wars, and acts of tyranny continued to unfold across the world. Meanwhile,
the Emperors who had once defeated Demon Lord Raze had grown complacent, and the powerful Demon Lords who had spent centuries searching for Raze’s heart ultimately failed to find it.
Soon...They would all come to realize that their world’s greatest nightmare had returned. However, this time...It was no longer the Demon Lord Raze they once knew.
