Chapter 121: Welcome to the Abyss

He turned to Liya with a serious expression and asked, "How long have I been here?" Liya looked at him calmly before answering.

{ Two months. }

"What the fuck!!"

Nova’s jaw dropped. He had convinced himself that the feeling of endless time was just an illusion because of the evolution process... but hearing that literally two whole months had passed left him stunned.

He looked at Liya again, needing confirmation. "You’re really not kidding, right?"

Liya pouted, placing both hands on her curvaceous hips as she replied.

{ Why would I joke about something this important?! }

"Then where the fuck am I...?" Nova muttered, anxiety surging through him. "We need to find a way back fast. Rieka and Asia must be worried sick."

Two entire months had passed since his evolution began. He had been away from his wives for that long, leaving them alone in the capital.

The thought of Albert, Ron, or those demon generals realizing they were his wives and targeting them made his blood run cold even after their disguise.

Although he had helped remove the dagger from them, Nova now realized how reckless that decision might have been. It could easily backfire. Still, at the time, he had wanted to teach Albert and Ron a harsh lesson.

Liya noticed the deep anxiety on Nova’s face. Her expression softened as she stepped closer, gently placing a hand on his chest.

{ Calm down, darling. It’s true that two months have passed here... but you don’t have to worry. For Rieka and Aisa, only about two hours have gone by. }

Nova’s eyes widened in surprise. "But how?"

{ Look around you. What do you think about this place? }

Liya asked, sweeping her hand across the barren landscape.

"The only thing I can say is that it feels completely barren and dead... yet the demonic energy here is incredibly thick and potent," Nova replied.

{ Exactly. The demonic energy here is so dense and powerful that even Demon Generals would struggle to survive for long. This place... is the ABYSS — the world of demons you’ve heard about. }

Nova’s eyes widened in shock. He couldn’t believe it. The Abyss could only be entered through special gates or high-ranking demon portals. "How the hell did I end up here? And what part of the Abyss is this if even Demon Generals struggle to survive? How am I completely fine and feeling normal?"

Liya could hear all his racing thoughts, but she answered calmly for the sake of normal conversation.

{ If I had to guess, it was probably because of the Heart of Demon Lord Raze. It created a portal and brought you here when it sensed it was in danger. }

{ As for your second question — the Abyss is divided into four levels. }

{ The First Level is where lower-ranking demons live. The demonic energy there is relatively thin, so they can survive without issue. }

{ High-ranking demons reside on the Second Level, where the energy is many times thicker. Lower demons who enter there usually die. }

{ The Third Level is reserved for Demon Generals and Demon Lords and Royal families. It’s massive and split into two sub-levels. The demonic energy there is extremely dense — even most high-ranking demons struggle to endure it for long. }

{ Finally, there’s the Fourth Level — also known as the Death Level. The demonic energy here is so thick and potent that not even Demon Generals can come here easily. This level is used as a training ground by Demon Lords and top Generals to strengthen their power. }

{ Countless demonic beasts roam every level, with the most powerful ones concentrated here on the Fourth Level — where you currently are. As for why you can survive in this environment... your demonic energy was already incredibly pure even before your evolution. Still, that alone wouldn’t have been enough to protect you from this place. }

{ It was the Heart of Demon Lord Raze that saved you. It released its royal and pure demonic aura to shield you. Yes, you heard correctly — royal demons who live primarily on the Third Level can travel to the Fourth Level with relative ease, regardless of their actual strength.}

{ Their blood is blessed by the Demon God himself. Now that Raze’s heart has fused with yours, in a sense... you carry royal bloodline value and purity. }

{ The reason only two hours have passed for your wives is because of the demonic energy here. It causes time dilation. The deeper you go into the lower levels of the Abyss, the stronger the dilation becomes. The higher you go, the less it affects time.}

Nova listened intently, his face shifting through various expressions as Liya explained everything. She seemed to enjoy watching his reactions.

He now fully understood where he was — and just how dangerous his situation had become. He was stuck in the Abyss, a world full of demons, while he was still fundamentally human.

{ I was just getting to that... } Liya continued.

{ You already possess the solution, though I’ll admit it won’t be easy. You don’t have any identity to prove who you are. Even if royal demons or Demon Generals sense that you’re one of them, they won’t know which family you belong to. They’ll likely try to kill you on sight. }

Nova gulped, knowing she was right. Still, he tried to stay calm. Very little time had passed outside, so he still had a window. He just needed to find a way to contact Rieka and Aisa so they wouldn’t worry or do anything reckless.

He had already told them he would return soon, but news of the Slaughter Monarch’s "death" would spread quickly. If they heard it, they might make dangerous moves.

{ Unfortunately, you can’t use your communication stone, }

{ The distance is simply too vast. In a way, this is an entirely different world. Ordinary methods won’t work, and your current comprehension of space affinity is still too low to be useful here. }

{ For now... you can only pray that you get lucky. }

"What should I do then?" Nova asked, his face etched with worry.

Liya sighed softly.

{ For now, let’s enter the training space. We can check your new rewards, see how much you’ve grown, and if we’re lucky, use the gacha to pull something useful that might help in this situation. }

{ If we stay out here any longer, powerful demonic beasts will come. Some will be as strong as Demon Generals — or even stronger. They haven’t attacked yet only because they feared Demon Lord Raze’s aura. }

{ Even though you now carry his heart, your current strength is still far too weak compared to his. We should head back into the system space. }

With that, Liya’s physical form disappeared. Nova wasn’t offended by her calling him weak — he knew she was simply telling the truth. No matter how much he had grown, he was still far too weak when compared to the true powers of this world. Denying it wouldn’t change anything.

Nova stepped into the system training space. At first glance, it looked the same as always, but many things had quietly changed — he would realize that soon enough.

The moment he entered, Liya was already waiting for him. She waved her hand casually, and the vast space transformed into a cozy, intimate little room.

Her futuristic bodysuit shifted into a loose, silky purple pajama set that clung teasingly to her voluptuous curves, the top riding up slightly to reveal a tantalizing strip of her soft, milky waist.

She summoned a large, comfortable bed and jumped onto the soft mattress with a playful bounce. Turning back to look at him, she smiled alluringly.

{ Come here, darling~ }

Nova gulped and walked closer. "Will I... actually be able to sit on it now?"

{ Try it. Things have changed. }

Liya replied with a mischievous smile.

Nova nodded and carefully sat down. To his delight, he didn’t sink through — the bed felt solid and real beneath him. A wide smile spread across his face.

Liya waved her hand again, instantly changing Nova’s clothes into a matching set of comfortable blue pajamas.

Before he could say anything, she pulled him toward the center of the bed, climbed on top of him, and rested her head on his chest, rubbing her cheek against him affectionately.

Nova was momentarily surprised by her bold move, but his expression quickly softened into a loving smile.

He sat up, leaning his back against the headboard, and pulled Liya closer so she was straddling his lap. Her plump ass rested comfortably on his thighs as they sat together like a newlywed couple, looking in the same direction. Nova then opened his system window.
