Chapter 150: Unpredictable Princess

From their words, it was already clear that these two were Nyxara’s brothers — or more precisely, her stepbrothers.

Nyxara stepped forward without releasing Nova’s hand. In the next instant, her Sovereign aura erupted outward like water bursting from a shattered dam.

BOOM.

Everyone standing in the city square Kael, Ravik, and the group of demons behind them — felt the sudden eruption of Sovereign aura. Their eyes widened in pure shock, jaws dropping open.

Before any of them could speak, a crushing pressure forced every single one of them down onto their knees.

Kael struggled to raise his head. His voice came out strained and disbelieving.

"Y-You... h-how...?"

Everyone in the city knew that when Nyxara left for the Fourth Level a hundred years ago, she had only been a Level 7 Emperor. She possessed SS-rank potential, so reaching that level at a relatively young age had not been considered impossible.

Even so, advancing through the Emperor Realm normally took hundreds of years per level, even for those with high potential.

Many had called her crazy for going to the Fourth Level to train. And now she was openly releasing a true Sovereign aura.

It was almost unbelievable.

Kael and Ravik also possessed SS-rank potential, yet they were still only Level 4 and Level 5 Emperors respectively.

The difference was now painfully nuclear —Nyxara stood on an entirely different level from every other child of the Demon Lords in her generation.

Nova watched their stunned reactions and frowned slightly. He understood that Nyxara becoming a Sovereign was impressive, but he didn’t fully grasp why they were reacting with this much shock.

Liya’s beautiful voice resounded in his mind as she began explaining.

{ Like I told you before, you still don’t fully understand. Reaching the Sovereign Realm is not an easy feat. It usually takes thousands of years. Nyxara is only a little over a thousand years old, so what she has achieved is a very big deal. }

{ I should properly explain this to you now. When you reach the King Realm, your leveling system remains similar to what you’re used to. However, once you go through your third major evolution — reaching the Emperor Realm after Level 5000 — everything changes. }

{ The Emperor Realm only has ten levels, and the difference between each level is enormous. Breaking through even a single level can take hundreds of years... or even thousands, depending on your potential rank. }

Nova’s eyes widened in shock as her words sank in.

"Damn...!"

It was a truly shocking revelation. He had assumed that after Level 5000 he would simply continue leveling up all the way to 10,000 and more . Instead, the system completely changed.

If breaking through each level of the Emperor Realm was already that difficult, then reaching the Sovereign Realm was on an entirely different scale. Only now did he fully understand why the demons around them were so stunned by Nyxara’s breakthrough.

Even he found himself looking at her in a new light, finally realizing the true weight of her power.

Nyxara stepped forward, finally releasing Nova’s hand. Her cold crimson eyes locked onto her two stepbrothers. Under the weight of her little Sovereign aura, both of them trembled violently.

Ravik’s legs gave out as he wet himself in pure terror, while several of the lower-level demons standing behind them simply passed out on the spot.

Because Nyxara’s pressure was carefully directed only at the group in front of her, the surrounding public was unaffected.

Crowds began gathering around the city square, eager to see what was happening.

She stopped directly in front of Kael and spoke in an ice-cold voice.

"Shocked, huh? Well... I expected that."

"Now that I am a Sovereign, none of you brats or that bitch mother of yours can do anything to me anymore. You don’t need to know how I broke through.

Just understand this — if you, your brothers and sisters, or even your mothers get in my way... I will kill every single one of you."

Kael clenched his fists tightly in anger. Struggling under the crushing pressure, he managed to force out a few words. Of course, Nyxara was deliberately allowing him to speak.

"D-Do you t-think Father will... l-let this go?"

"Hmph." Nyxara’s expression remained indifferent. "It doesn’t matter. He isn’t here right now, and I’ll be leaving the Abyss in a few days anyway.

Before that, I will cancel the engagement. One of your sisters can marry that pig in my place."

With that, she turned and walked back to Nova. A faint blush appeared on her cheeks as she looked at him. Nova raised an eyebrow.

He was clearly enjoying the show, yet he still felt a lingering anxiety about whatever this unpredictable woman was planning next.

Without warning, Nyxara leaned into him.

Nova went along with it, placing a hand on her waist. Then, to the complete shock of both him and everyone present in the city square, she pulled him down and kissed him passionately.

At first Nova was stunned. But realizing this must be part of her plan to make a public statement — and seeing that even someone as mature yet surprisingly innocent as her was willing to go this far he decided not to hold back either.

He tightened his hold on her waist and pulled her even closer, deepening the kiss.

A wave of shocked gasps and murmuring spread across the entire city square.

After a full minute of the intense kiss, Nyxara finally pulled back. Her face was flushed a deep red. The square continued buzzing with disbelief.

Their eldest princess — known for being cold and pure — had just passionately kissed a man no one had ever seen before, while openly claiming him as her husband.

This was a clear slap to the face of Demon Lord Drazhul and his son, to whom she had been engaged for years. Yet she showed not the slightest fear.

On top of that, she was openly releasing a true Sovereign aura. Everyone was stunned. Kael could only grit his teeth in humiliation.

Nyxara turned her flushed face away from Nova, though she did not step out of his arms. Raising her voice, she addressed the gathered citizens.

"Citizens of Zarven. This is my husband, Nova, and I am his wife. We were married recently. Therefore, I will no longer marry the son of Demon Lord Drazhul. As your princess, you have the right to know... and now you do."

The moment she finished speaking, a spatial portal opened in front of them. The two of them stepped through it and reappeared in front of a large, luxurious mansion. They were still pressed closely together.

Nyxara looked up at Nova. The redness on her cheeks had not completely faded... but then her eyes suddenly changed. A cold glint returned to her crimson gaze as she stared at him.

Nova didn’t immediately understand what was wrong — until he noticed the position of his hands. He was gripping her soft ass cheeks possessively.

A wave of goosebumps ran down his spine as he realized he had gone too far and gotten a little too deep into character.

He instantly pulled back and raised both hands in surrender, panicking.

"Ah—forgive me!! I didn’t realize... I just wanted to make it look more natural!"

Nyxara said nothing. She simply continued staring at him with the same cold expression. Nova felt a flicker of irritation and muttered inwardly,

What the hell? She can kiss me like it’s nothing, but the moment I touch her butt she gets angry... This woman is a psycho.

{ Told you she’s more intense than me, } Liya remarked cheerfully.

Nova sighed inwardly at Liya’s words as he watched Nyxara turn around without tearing him into pieces. She reached up and tucked two strands of her crimson hair behind her ears before speaking.

"Don’t think too much about what I did earlier. It was only for the message I wanted to send about us. That way, it will leave a stronger impact."

"...."

As she spoke, her face was clearly flushed — though Nova couldn’t see it from behind, and he didn’t dare try to check.

Nyxara continued, then turned her head slightly and asked,

"Do you understand?"

Nova gulped down a mouthful of saliva and quickly replied, "O-Of course. Don’t worry about it. I’d be an idiot to think too much about it. It was only an act."

"Good."

She stepped forward, and the large gates of the mansion opened on their own. Without looking back, she said,

"Follow me. This is my mansion."
