It was then that Tan Song realized You Wenqi had come alone; there was no trace of his Soul Card Followers nearby.

Could it be something invisible?

"How can you prove it?" Tan Song didn’t wait for Xu Qingyin to speak and asked first, "People coming to this world are supposed to have Soul Cards, right? Where’s your Soul Card, Old You?"

Tan Song paused, realizing his words might have been too harsh. Despite You Wenqi’s many years in the profession, he never used his Soul Card, possibly because he didn’t have a good relationship with it. Perhaps they argued upon meeting and parted ways.

But... if they merely parted ways, Xu Qingyin wouldn’t be so wary, would he?

You Wenqi raised an eyebrow, "Oh? Do you want me to duel you to prove my identity?"

Saying this, You Wenqi revealed his Dueling Device.

"No, no, no," Tan Song immediately surrendered upon seeing You Wenqi’s familiar gesture, "I believe you, isn’t that enough?"

It cannot exist independently from its host, and I am its host."

You Wenqi operates himself within the Dueling Device.

Before Shen Sui appeared, You Wenqi was the true new card king, often using new Life Cards in every duel, and since he never used his Soul Card during duels, many speculated about its nature.

Now, Tan Song roughly understood why You Wenqi could so frequently update his deck.

All his Life Cards were self-earned, allowing him to purposefully acquire desired Life Cards, which were more stable than even Shen Sui’s Soul Card Alice.

Outside of finals, he really almost never defeated You Wenqi.
