Chapter 1076: "Sorry, Sienna. I Lied"
Sienna’s eyes sharpened:
"As for the two days of uninterrupted sleeping..." Phei’s smile widened. "Sorry, Sienna. I lied."
The room went still.
Sienna’s face became terrifyingly blank.
"You dare lied to me?"
Phei nodded solemnly. "Yes."
The temperature of the hall seemed to drop.
"You want to die that much, huh," she said.
Before Phei could answer, a sound tore through the hall; a guttural roar so deep and predatory.
The polished floor vibrated faintly as the far doors opened, and a midnight-colored beast slid into the hall beneath the black-silver lights.
A PcLaren 750S wrapped like a gift.
Not in childish ribbons or ridiculous paper, but in sleek black satin bands crossed with silver and violet accents, the bow laid low across the hood like a ceremonial mark. The car glided forward with impossible smoothness, its headlights sharp and pale, its body painted in a midnight shade so deep it looked like it had been carved from the space between stars.
Light rolled over its curves, catching the aggressive lines, the low stance, the sculpted sides, the dangerous elegance of a machine designed to look fast even while crawling.
The engine growled again.
Several people actually stepped back.
David whispered, "Oh, that’s evil."
Brian muttered, "That’s gorgeous."
Landon stared. "And legal?"
Cherry elbowed him softly. "Probably not in emotional terms."
Sienna had frozen.
Utterly.
Her violet eyes locked onto the car.
Phei watched her and and smiled.
For the first time all night, the Ice Robot showed something like raw, impatient interest in front of everyone:
For the midnight beast growling in the middle of the hall.
"I forgive you, Dragon!"
Sienna’s voice rang across the room before anyone could recover.
Se moved too fast for a girl in a glittering gown with a long train and absolutely no respect for ceremony.
Maddie doubled over laughing. "She forgave him instantly!"
Victoria stared in disbelief. "Of course she did."
Delilah pressed a hand to her mouth, laughing so hard her eyes watered. "She loves it."
Melissa shook her head, smiling with pure motherly surrender. "That is Sienna."
Phei watched as Sienna reached the car, the starlit gown shimmering around her as she moved. The contrast was absurdly beautiful even to Dravenna watching the Nether Goddess dressed in ice-blue celestial silk, practically stalking toward a midnight supercar like it had insulted her by not already being driven.
"I knew she’d love it," Phei murmured to himself.
A man stepped forward with the key, Sienna snatched it from him.
Of course, the car had not been driven in by a stranger.
Phei would never allow that.
Not before Sienna.
The 750S had been remotely guided in by Jade from the side control system, because if anyone understood how to bring a machine into a room like a luxury predator and not disgrace it, it was Jade Park. She stood near the side now, arms folded, smiling faintly as Sienna opened the driver’s side door.
Phei glanced at Jade and she gave him a look that said, You owe me.
He smiled back as Sienna slid into the car.
The sight alone belonged in an illustration.
Her glittering gown spilled around the seat, silver-blue fabric brushing against black leather, violet eyes bright with something that was dangerously close to happiness. She adjusted herself, touched the steering wheel, and for one sacred second, the entire room witnessed Sienna Ryujin Tiamat look like a girl who had received exactly what she wanted and hated that everyone could see it.
Then she started the engine properly and the roar punched through the hall making several guests flinch while the crystal strands above trembled. The PcLaren revved again, louder this time, the sound guttural and sharp and almost obscene against the elegant black-silver venue.
Sienna’s lips curved..
"Oh," Maddie whispered. "She’s gone."
Phei laughed.
Sienna turned the wheel and the car spun in a controlled, vicious little circle across the polished floor, tires gripping with terrifying precision, the midnight body sliding through light while silver and violet reflections raced across its surface. The gown glittered through the windshield.
Sienna looked alive behind the wheel in a way the speeches had not managed to make her show.
Then she shouted through the open window.
"You can finish without me!"
"Sienna!" Melissa called, half laughing, half horrified.
Too late... the PcLaren shot away; the hall doors opened ahead of it, controlled by hotel systems that had clearly been warned this nonsense might happen. The engine roared once more, and the midnight beast vanished out of the hall, dragging the birthday girl away with it in a streak of speed, starlight and absolute disrespect for event scheduling.
For a moment, everyone stood there.
Silent.
Then the room broke.
Maddie folded against Sierra and nearly wheezing. Yuki clapped like she had just witnessed spiritual art. David shouted something about needing footage and was immediately threatened by his date, Melissa and Maddie at the same time. Victoria had her hand over her face. Delilah was laughing despite herself. The Vice Principal looked like he had expected this from the moment the car entered. Dravenna’s jade eyes gleamed with amusement. Hayashi stood at the edge of the hall with the expression of a man who had prepared for exactly this and still found humanity exhausting.
Phei only watched the doors where Sienna had disappeared.
His smile was soft.
Proud.
Tender in a way he would deny if accused.
"There she goes," he said.
Melissa turned toward him, still smiling through disbelief. "You gave her a car and expected her to stay?"
"I hoped."
Phei stepped back toward the center and lifted his voice.
"Thank you all for coming," he said. "Truly. Sienna may have fled her own birthday in a supercar, which I consider a successful emotional breakthrough, but the night is not fully over."
Several people smiled.
"For those who are not busy rushing back to whatever schedules, duties, scandals, meetings, old rivalries or mysterious offices they abandoned to be here, there will be a final reception upstairs at the penthouse."
His eyes drifted briefly toward Dravenna when he said mysterious offices.
She looked away.
"Food, drinks, quieter music," Phei continued. "And hopefully fewer vehicles indoors."
Jade raised a brow.
Phei added, "No promises."
Mother shook her head fondly.
Melissa lifted her glass. "To Sienna."
Everyone raised theirs again.
"To Sienna."
Somewhere beyond the hall, faintly, very faintly, the PcLaren roared again.
Sienna, clearly, had not gone far enough to be unheard.
Phei smiled toward the sound.
’Happy birthday, Ice Robot.’
But did Phei have any idea why Dravenna was here for or how the day was going to end between him and Sienna? Fate did not think so?
