Previously, what he saw was the selfless, aid-to-the-weak front of the Interstellar Corps, but now this Deputy Captain represents the logistics side, equally meticulous, even dragging out negotiations for tiny bits of resources.

Furthermore, Xue Dili even had a connection with this Deputy Captain, who used to be Uncle Brave’s mentor. Fafnir even had to call this Deputy Captain "grandpa" or some such title upon meeting him.

It was also he who helped Fafnir leave her original world, although that’s not necessarily a good thing.

Despite never having met the Deputy Captain, he indeed had some ties to Xue Dili.
