At the end of Subspace, there is only the Void.

There is nothing here; an incomparable Cosmic Void completely shrouds this terminal point, swallowing all regions in every direction, leaving only the single path by which they came.

This is the truth of Subspace, and it’s a truth that leaves everyone silent.

The Evil Eye fell completely silent; it didn’t even understand the ultimate meaning of this expedition anymore.

It simply stood there before this Great Void, watching anything that reached it get utterly devoured—whether it was energy tides, or matter, or even the radiance emitted by that great Light sphere behind it...

That radiance didn’t fail to illuminate the road ahead; rather, the instant it touched this Great Void, it was completely absorbed and swallowed.

[You have gazed directly upon the Void...]

The true body of the Void really is just a Cosmic Void...

A Great Void that turns everything completely into "nothing." Even Senior Hassan—this elder who had fought against the Void for who knows how long—was swallowed in an instant by Void Devouring.

So this is the truth of Subspace...

A true Hell directly connected to the Cosmic Void—and judging from this, this Cosmic Void will eventually completely swallow the end of Subspace. Those Evil Gods entrenched at Subspace’s end—what will they do to save themselves?

And after it devours the end of Subspace, once the deep layer of Subspace and the shallow layer of Subspace are both swallowed, what will be the next step? Where will it go?

At this thought, even the Mimic Venerable King felt a sense of powerlessness, a feeling like clearly knowing the enemy’s goal and power, yet being unable to stop the enemy even one step, no matter how you struggle.

This is an absolute, numerical-level infinite gap. How could normal lifeforms possibly deal with such a colossal cosmic cavity, such a terrifying Great Void?

Yes, the Interstellar Corps did once seal a Cosmic Void, but that was when the Cosmic Void hadn’t yet fully formed. They used a black hole like duct tape to forcibly stick that Great Void shut.

It was like slapping a patch on the Cosmos—but the Great Void here is no patch; it’s a Great Void that can almost cover an entire Star Cluster.

If this Great Void appeared in the Cosmos...

It could swallow Andromeda and Leo in an instant, taking the whole lot together...

A Great Void spanning tens of billions of light-years...

Unless, the true Venerable King comes personally...

Yet suddenly, light enveloped it, and the Mimic Venerable King gave up resisting.

Here, even if its true body descended, at best it could only manage a fifty–fifty against those Subspace Evil Gods. And this time it had only let the Evil Eye come along, instead of descending in person, precisely because it sensed it couldn’t afford to take risks, and had long since prepared to abandon the Evil Eye if necessary.

So from its perspective, the worst outcome right now was merely giving up the Evil Eye.

Being swallowed by the Great Void or being refined by other Evil Gods—there might be no difference at all.

Yet just as it was ready to cut off its connection with the Evil Eye, the great Light sphere didn’t strike. Instead, it silently carried the Evil Eye away from the end of this Great Void.

And it began to slowly advance toward the shallow layer of Subspace. They once again passed by that Evil God that was endlessly duplicating itself, passed by that jellyfish-like thing constantly changing its body, and that nebula like a gathering of billions of pathogens...

Continuing forward, the giant maw kept dry-heaving, and the Evil God shaped like a dense mass of tree roots coiled around a twisted pillar of energy; the immortal true body still lingered where it had been, not moving at all.

Until they arrived at the enormous barrier that divided the deep layer of Subspace from the end of Subspace.

This barrier whose thickness was unknown—they had only managed to enter by following Hassan, letting Void Devouring gnaw them in bit by bit. At first, they thought this was a natural isolation belt of Subspace.

Who knew that at this moment, the great Light sphere merely seemed to tremble slightly, and the Subspace Barrier instantly opened a slit.

At this scene, the Evil Eye instantly fixed its gaze on the great Light sphere.

After that, the great Light sphere no longer carried the Evil Eye with it, but remained within the barrier, sending the Evil Eye outward.

"Who are you! Why can you set up this giant barrier here! Why are you locking all the Subspace Evil Gods at the end of Subspace!" The Evil Eye instantly grasped the meaning of this Subspace Barrier.

To deal with the Great Void, it had completely locked all the Subspace Evil Gods at the end of Subspace. This place is a forbidden zone for all matter, a forbidden zone for the Cosmos. If the monsters inside—those devils and freaks or other bizarre things—were to get out, never mind entering the real world; even if they only influenced the real Cosmos from the shallow layer of Subspace, the entire Cosmos would become a twisted, reeking cesspit...

By then, it wouldn’t be a question of whether people could live happily under a blue sky, but that everyone would be forced to do butterfly strokes inside a cesspit. Even having a little boat to float on in that cesspit, or being allowed to enter the Myraid Souls Banner after death instead of being seized by Subspace Evil Gods for endless torment and distortion, would be a luxury.

The reason the Cosmos hasn’t become a cesspit—first is the Void Devouring that treats every unit equally; second is this Subspace Barrier that seals everything like some demon-locking pagoda.

This has left all the Evil Gods inside blocked on both sides: they can’t get out, and the Void is relentlessly chasing them from behind... If they don’t find a way to suppress the Void, they’ll be completely swallowed. So they are forced to fight the Void, while also trying to find a way to escape...
