“That won’t help, our presence will not lift him out of loneliness. After all, we’re still children and he thinks of us as family.”

Su Yu was getting ready to go home when he received the video request. “Hi, Little Bean,” he smiled at the child in front of him.

“Handsome Su, what are you going?”

“Getting ready to leave work,” Su Yu replied.

“What are you doing after work?” Little Bean asked.

“Um… go home?” Su Yu answered after thinking for a few seconds.

“Have you been going out lately?”

“No, that idiot Tang Chuan gave me up for a woman, so I’m all alone now.” Su Yu smiled.

“Aw, poor kid… do you want to hang out with me and my sister?” Little Bean smiled sweetly.

“It’s okay, you guys don’t have to worry about me, I’m a grown-up already… Plus, work’s been exhausting so I crash as soon as I get home. I have maids who can come cook for me, or I just order delivery.” Su Yu refused Little Bean’s offer with a smile.

“Don’t you miss me?” She pouted.

“I do, but we chat every day, don’t we?” Su Yu said.

“But I haven’t seen you in so long… I don’t care, you have to buy me ice cream…” Little Bean was not about to give up. “Really? Ice cream?” Su Yu wasn’t sure what to say.

“What? Don’t you love me anymore?” Little Bean pouted.

“It’s not that… your mommy said not to take you out for dessert anymore… she said you’re five pounds heavier than Pudding, no?”

Little Bean said in all seriousness, “I’m still young, I don’t need to watch my figure. Mommy’s too nervous and controlling, we don’t have to listen to her…”
