"Let’s not mention ascending, uh..." Lyu Bu was about to speak when he suddenly felt something poke his shoulder. He quickly came to his senses and found that it was Diao Chan sending Red Hare to call him. Needless to say, she was definitely asking why the dinner ingredients had not been delivered.

"Xiu’er called me to dinner, so I’ll take my leave first, but it’s really strange. It’s almost time for dinner where I am, and yet here it’s just about dawn," Lyu Bu said with slight confusion. "If there’s a battle in the future, call me. It’s very troublesome for me to come personally, but Inner Qi can come."

After speaking, Lyu Bu’s outward appearance dissipated. Diao Chan had asked him to prepare materials for dinner, and he hadn’t gone out to gather them yet, which was why Red Hare came looking for him.

Lyu Bu came quickly and left quickly; before Chen Gong and the others could ask any questions, he had already disappeared. However, that last comment about it being almost dinner time for him while it was dawn here remained intriguing.

"Does Marquis Wenn come and go as he pleases?" Chen Gong said speechlessly, looking at the spot where Lyu Bu had vanished.

"After all, he’s not in the same world as us. Even if he can come down, it’s probably not that easy," Zhang Liao explained to Chen Gong after thinking for a moment. After all, Lyu Bu had never told others that he was still in the Mortal World. Even Nanhua could not confirm whether Lyu Bu was in the Mortal Realm.

"That makes sense, but you should have told us earlier that you could bring him down," Chen Gong sighed. Lyu Bu’s combat power is meaningful for legion battles. However, after witnessing that shattered Cloud Qi, it was clear that Lyu Bu was incredibly powerful.

Zhang Liao could say that he never thought Lyu Bu could come upon call. He assumed there would be some delay, but instead, Lyu Bu truly was astonishingly formidable—manifesting will, gathering Heaven and Earth Essence, then shattering the void, transferring power, and after ascending, becoming overwhelmingly strong.

"Recall the troops that went to pursue; this battle can’t go on," Chen Gong said to Zhang Liao, who nodded in agreement.

The Han Army and Parthia quickly reorganized their forces, and Vologases V sent someone to invite Han military officers for a meeting, partly as a gesture of thanks. Without the Han Army’s help today, Parthia might have truly been thrown into chaos.

Moreover, the combat power demonstrated by the Han Army far exceeded Parthia’s expectations. The Han Army’s support was so significant that Vologases V even briefly considered the possibility of them taking over, albeit momentarily dismissing the thought, recognizing the principles exhibited by the Han Army as allies.

Yet Vologases V couldn’t help but be wary, given the Han Army’s capacity—a demigod-level ultimate combatant coupled with the Military Spirit Legion and two Super Elite Legions, this is the basic setup of an empire. How could Vologases V not be concerned with the Han Army’s support?

"Thank you all for your previous assistance!" Vologases V personally expressed his gratitude, setting aside any concerns about dignity. In an empire versus empire scenario, strength is the most reliable factor, and the power displayed by the Han forces this time was simply unmatched.

"Your Majesty needn’t be so formal. We are allies," Zhuge Liang responded calmly, though he seemed slightly distracted. Lyu Bu had manifested in the Mortal World, a formidable figure feared even by Liu Bei’s civil and military ranks.

Marquis Wenn Lyu Bu appeared, was surrounded by masters, ascended, and everyone was thrilled. Yet, he could still descend—albeit in a terrifying manner, tearing through the Sky Dome, but that’s what he did when he ascended, too.

"May I ask who the strongman that shattered the Sky Dome was?" Vologases V inquired immediately. Without the Cloud Suppression, the combat between Lyu Bu and Ludwig was terrifyingly intense and Vologases V had a good view of it all.

"He has already returned," Zhuge Liang said, slightly embarrassed, noting the admiration and respect in the eyes of all Parthian generals. With Lyu Bu, you could question his character, but not his combat effectiveness.

"Why did he leave so suddenly?" Vologases V asked, somewhat disappointed. He genuinely wanted to meet Lyu Bu. Realizing his tone might not have been appropriate, he added, "A strongman of such caliber, it is truly a pity not to meet him."

"He has returned to the Heavenly Realm," Zhuge Liang replied with a bitter smile, leaving the Parthian generals astonished. Zhuge Liang glanced at Zhang Liao, who began recounting the past events.

"I see, no wonder Rome’s demigod was effortlessly overcome by that powerful figure," the Parthian generals listened in awe, without doubting the story because the Sky Dome had indeed been shattered—it was plausible to call it divine.

"That’s essentially the situation. When things turned bleak for us, we asked for his help. He left after helping," Zhuge Liang explained with a sigh, causing all Parthians to express longing, acknowledging the Han Empire’s unfathomable power.

Meanwhile, the Romans were in utter distress. Ganasis’ legion’s morale had nearly plummeted to rock bottom, and the legion leaders of both the Fifth Lark Legion and the Ninth Spanish Legion appeared embarrassed.

"The Han cavalry is formidable, and lacks our rear defense vulnerabilities, but I obtained a valuable item," Tacitus said after uniting his troops with Ganasis, eyeing the demoralized army. He had been viciously pummeled by Li Jue.

"The Han Army attacking from my direction includes the Military Spirit Legion!" Palmyro gritted his teeth and said, having been around the Military Spirit Legion frequently, he was not easily mistaken in this regard.

"These Han Army lunatics!" Ganasis said angrily, hearing Palmyro mention that the soldiers attacking the Fifth Lark Legion had the Military Spirit Legion enraged him even more. The Han Army truly treated Parthia as their own territory, deploying two Military Spirit Legions; were they out of their minds?

"Duke, what should we do now?" Julia recalled how Lyu Bu turned Ludwig and Andric entirely into stars and felt a bit terrified; this was not an enemy of the same caliber, the demigod Ludwig had no power to fight back against him.

"Withdraw, set camp, fortify defenses, and prepare to negotiate with the Han Army!" Ganasis said resentfully.

"Will they be willing to negotiate with us?" Julia asked puzzled.

"They didn’t pursue us, allowing us to leave, which indicates they will. They simply dealt a heavy hand with Ludwig; otherwise, we’d have had more problems." Ganasis said grimly; the Han Army was truly a pitfall, and the best choice now was to abandon the effort!

At that moment, Andric staggered back, looking heavily injured but not mortally so.

"Andric, you’re actually still alive!" Julia said happily.

"Jupiter’s protection." Andric barely managed a smile and said, "No, it’s thanks to them not dealing a heavy blow."

"Uh!" Julia was stunned, then reacted, nodding his head; indeed, given the strength Lyu Bu displayed earlier, killing them all wouldn’t have been a problem, and they were able to withdraw safely because the Han Army didn’t launch a forceful pursuit.

"In this case, Ludwig should also be okay." Seeing Andric return, Ganasis inexplicably felt a lot more relieved; it was evident that the Han Army didn’t want to become mortal enemies with them.

On the other side, in the Mediterranean Sea, the turbulent waves from Ludwig’s massive explosion had already dissipated. Giuseppe and Giovanni, two Roman Guardians not far from this location, were investigating here.

These two were Roman Guardians traveling with Caracalla by ship to the Eastern Province as reinforcements. The explosion wasn’t too far from them, and the quantity of Inner Qi contained within far exceeded their expectations, so the two came over to investigate.

Before losing consciousness, Ludwig exerted himself to paddle, hoping to float up and remembered the voice he heard a moment before the Inner Qi explosion.

"Your strength is decent; I’ll spare your life, find someone stronger." Lyu Bu’s lingering telepathic words said.

Lyu Bu declared sparing his life, thus the power of Inner Qi was more to imprison him, the real explosion only critically injured him, but the problem was this was the Mediterranean Sea, not land. Severely injured and plunged into the Mediterranean, Ludwig, on the verge of unconsciousness, felt an immense sense of grievance.

Was his fate as Ludwig to become a demigod only to drown in the sea, what a joke, if a demigod drowned in the ocean, it would truly be a disgrace.

Desperately paddling, but already critically injured, Ludwig couldn’t muster any strength and could only slowly sink.

"Is this my fate?" Ludwig’s eyes widened, starting to roll back like a dead fish; he had already choked on water, his consciousness blurred, with no way to absorb oxygen from the water, Ludwig’s fate seemed destined to become fish and shrimp food.

Perhaps the Divine Sword had a spirit, or maybe it was due to unwillingness, but Ludwig’s sword, already full of cracks, suddenly shattered at that moment, releasing the remaining Inner Qi as its final distress signal.

"Eh, what is this?" Giovanni stared at the wisp of flickering blue light in surprise, moving swiftly and glancing downwards; thankfully, the Mediterranean Sea was unpolluted at this time, allowing Giovanni to directly see Ludwig below.

Reaching out, he parted the seawater, pulling Ludwig out and gasping upon seeing his appearance; this was Ludwig, one of the most renowned Roman Guardians, yet now he looked like a dead dog.

"Giuseppe, hurry, Ludwig is dying!" Giovanni shouted.

Giuseppe was equally shocked by the scene, hastily instructing Giovanni to send Ludwig to Caracalla, while he quickly rushed to the Eastern Province to investigate what exactly had happened to cause even someone of Ludwig’s top skills to be beaten into near death.
