Chapter 200 : Just A Clone Suppresses A Super Kage

At the same time, his body was slowly transforming into a hollowed state—like a manifestation of his soul.

A long blade appeared in his hand, reminiscent of a Shinigami’s weapon, and a string of beads hung around his neck. His lips turned crimson.

Watching this ghostly transformation, Riku frowned. "This power... interesting. It’s actually surpassed the Kage-level. I didn’t expect there to be so many surprises in the ninja world. It seems I can’t rely solely on my past experiences to judge things."

At this moment, the strength radiating from the ghost-like figure had undoubtedly exceeded that of a Kage. Although Riku knew it was likely temporary, he had to admit—it was powerful.

He couldn’t recall any such formidable individual in the current shinobi world.

Even now—or moments ago—such Kage-level strength was rare.

Riku began to feel that the shinobi world might be far more thrilling than he had ever imagined.

Even if this power was just barely above Kage-level...

The ghostly figure now appeared far more composed than before. Earlier, his body had swelled to over three meters tall—truly monstrous.

Now, however, the genjutsu cast by the serpent familiar slithering beside Riku had no effect on the ghost.

"It’s immune to genjutsu... How interesting," Riku mused. "I really wonder how the Uchiha clan managed to slaughter your clan back then."

He was certain that the ghost he now faced could not have been killed by a mere dozen Uchiha shinobi wielding Three Tomoe Sharingan.

Riku thought for a moment, then muttered to himself, "Could it be they didn’t actually kill that person back then? No wonder so many members of the Oni Clan remain... Seems the Uchiha didn’t finish them off completely. The so-called spiritualists weren’t killed—they were only injured."

He’d long believed that the survival of so many Oni Clan members must’ve meant that the Uchiha didn’t completely exterminate the spiritualists of the clan.

But in truth, Riku was overthinking it. The original spiritualist had indeed been killed, but the core members of the Oni Clan had survived.

And over the decades, they had repopulated.

The reason this ghost had become so powerful now was because he had willingly sacrificed himself—causing a massive surge in his strength.

After realizing the genjutsu was useless, Riku signaled the serpent to cease its illusions.

He raised the short sword in his hand, laced with lightning chakra.

But shockingly, the ghost kept up with his speed.

Boom!

With a thunderous crash, Riku’s blade clashed against the ghost’s katana. The explosion of energy rippled in all directions.

Everything around them collapsed in an instant.

The stone beneath their feet crumbled completely.

The valley and the surrounding mountains shattered from the force of their clash.

This time, the ghost had actually withstood Riku’s blade.

The sword, reinforced with Sage Chakra, ground against the ghost’s katana, sending sparks flying.

The ghost held firm with both hands, and for the first time, Riku felt a hint of pressure.

"Incredible," he admitted. "That sacrifice really did wonders for your power."

Around them, mountains crumbled, and boulders rained into the lava-filled basin at the valley’s center.

Riku could sense that Anko and Kurenai were severely injured nearby, and he scowled.

The ghost sneered. "Heh... Son, your teammates over there—"

"You’re not qualified to kill them in front of me," Riku snapped.

The moment he spoke, Sage Chakra erupted from his body—condensing into a second Riku.

In this clone’s hand formed a long sword made entirely of Sage Chakra.

As the clone emerged, the original Riku flashed away in a bolt of lightning, vanishing from the ghost’s sight.

The ghost lunged forward. "Where do you think you’re going?!"

He had sacrificed his soul to the Shinigami—if he couldn’t kill Riku now, he would never rest.

But just as he moved, the Riku clone appeared before him, exuding power even more terrifying than the original had moments ago.

BOOM!

The shockwave from their clash could have flattened an entire mountain.

Meanwhile, the original Riku reappeared beside Kurenai and Anko, his expression darkening as he saw their condition.

"How could they be this badly hurt?" he muttered.

He had thought their coordination would be enough to handle the skeletons.

But it seemed he had underestimated the skeletons’ strength—and overestimated the teamwork of the two women.

Scooping both of them into his arms, Riku disappeared in an instant.

At the same time, the clone created from Sage Chakra continued its fierce battle against the ghost.

Mountains dozens of meters high were blown apart in the aftermath.

Their battlefield spanned thousands of meters.

While it couldn’t quite compare to the legendary duel between Madara Uchiha and Hashirama Senju, it was certainly not far behind.

It wasn’t that this Sage Chakra clone was stronger than Riku himself—it was simply that Riku hadn’t been using his full power earlier.

Now, his clone fought the ghost evenly—and even showed signs of overwhelming him, causing the ghost to grow increasingly alarmed.

As they fought, the ghost thought, It’s just a clone... how can it be this powerful? Did he hold back his true strength earlier?

As the realization struck, a chill ran down his spine.

If this is only a clone, and I still can’t defeat it... Is he even human?

He’s more like a Shinigami than the Shinigami themselves...

Meanwhile, the original Riku, holding Anko and Kurenai, used his Rinnegan’s teleportation ability to jump to a mountaintop several kilometers away.

Looking down at their injuries—blood flowing freely, faces pale—he clenched his fists.

"Damn it. I don’t have any healing pills left."

If he had some, their condition could be stabilized quickly.

But he’d already used the last of them earlier.

He sighed, then focused. "I’ll just have to rely on medical ninjutsu. I’ll heal you both myself."

Riku paused to sense the clone’s status and smirked. "Luckily, that clone’s doing well. It can handle the ghost for now."

Kurenai’s condition was critical—blood soaked her body, and a gash over ten centimeters long had been slashed across her abdomen, nearly splitting her in half.

She didn’t have the ability to regenerate—if she wasn’t treated soon, she would die.

Anko was in better shape. Her battle instincts had kept her from sustaining such grievous wounds. In raw technique, she outmatched Kurenai.

Between the two of them, Riku quickly formed hand seals.

"Concealment Barrier: Activate."

In an instant, everything within ten meters was hidden under an invisibility barrier.

No one outside would be able to see or sense them.

Back on the battlefield, the Sage Clone continued clashing with the ghost. Though it had the upper hand, the battle was fierce.

Neither could finish the other off decisively.

But the ghost’s fear only deepened.

Because he discovered something terrifying—when he landed a hit on the clone, it didn’t vanish like a typical Shadow Clone.

Instead, it behaved like a pure chakra construct—only losing some energy rather than dissipating.

What terrified him the most was that this clone could absorb natural energy from its surroundings and regenerate Sage Chakra on its own.

He realized, I can’t kill it. Not unless I destroy all its Sage Chakra in one blow
