Chapter 487 - 381: Mr. Chu, Welcome to the Lighthouse Empire
"Aside from turning yourself into that swarm of blue particles, have you run out of tricks? Do you have no other way to attack?"
Chu He raised an eyebrow, his tone even.
His expression was one of unruffled calm,
as if this fierce battle were nothing more than an ordinary trial, devoid of any tension or urgency.
"Hmph. This one move alone,
is more than enough to deal with you.
If I weren’t just toying with you for my own amusement,
my countless blue particles could have descended upon you like a raging, world-destroying storm,
sweeping over you and instantly clinging to your body like an inescapable plague.
If just one blue particle touches you, it will spread like a virus, assimilating your entire body
and making you a part of mine.
What a pity, though. Even if I assimilated you,
you would be little more than basic nutrients to me.
I wouldn’t be able to obtain all of your powers. A true shame, really."
A meaningful smile played on the Doctor’s lips
as he let out a sigh of feigned regret.
"Feel free to try."
Chu He remained perfectly composed, his unhurried demeanor suggesting he was completely unfazed by the Doctor’s threat, as if nothing in the world could stir him.
"Try? I’ve already made my move."
The Doctor suddenly let out a sinister, maniacal laugh that sounded like a screech owl’s cry.
The chilling sound echoed from behind Chu He.
It turned out that his long-winded explanation to Chu He had been an elaborate ruse. Its purpose was to distract him,
allowing a single blue particle to sneak behind him like a phantom.
Now, the blue particle was only a few meters away from Chu He.
Like a ravenous wolf that had been lying in wait,
it suddenly exploded forward with incredible speed, shooting toward Chu He like an arrow loosed from its bow.
At such a distance, for an ordinary person,
an attack like this would be impossible to dodge. Even for someone as powerful as Chu He,
it seemed logically impossible to react effectively in such a short amount of time.
But to the Doctor’s utter astonishment,
Chu He showed no sign of panic upon detecting the sneak attack.
He didn’t even seem to intend to dodge.
A dazzling and immensely powerful light, as brilliant as the molten gold of the sun, instantly erupted from around Chu He.
The light was so substantial and radiant that it was almost impossible to look at directly.
The blue particle made contact instantly. In that split second,
the Doctor felt as if his particle had slammed into a thick, indestructible slab of solid gold,
not a body of flesh and blood.
Alarmed, he immediately tried to activate the particle’s full assimilating power, attempting to corrode the barrier.
But the powerful golden light emanating from Chu He
was like a sacred, inviolable shield, as solid as a fortress,
protecting his body completely.
The blue particle couldn’t disintegrate and consume him as it normally would.
"Your method of attack is unique, I’ll give you that. But against me, it’s as futile as an ant trying to shake a tree.
Now, it’s my turn."
As if completely unaware of the crisis at his back, Chu He didn’t even turn around.
He simply stood there, calmly allowing the blue particle to continue its assault.
The golden light around him surged like a golden ocean,
rippling out in layered waves, stubbornly resisting the particle’s intrusion.
The light seemed to hold an endless, indestructible power, utterly unbreakable.
Hearing Chu He’s words, the Doctor laughed maniacally again. "Haha! So I can’t kill you,
but you can’t do anything to me, either.
It seems this fight is destined for a stalemate."
The Doctor’s laughter echoed through the air, but it was tinged with a faint trace of unease and apprehension.
He knew that Chu He was no easy opponent.
Anyone who could so easily neutralize his killing blow must have other tricks up his sleeve.
Yet, the Doctor had no idea what Chu He would do next. All he could do was feign composure
and continue the standoff,
like someone groping in the dark, anxiously waiting to see what would happen next.
"That may not be so."
Chu He shook his head slightly, uttering those few words, his eyes filled with undeniable confidence.
Before the Doctor could respond,
an enormous sleeve appeared, seeming to descend from the very heavens.
It blotted out the sky like a colossal dark cloud, rushing toward him with immense pressure.
The cuff was a pitch-black expanse, deep and vast,
like a bottomless black hole from the depths of space, radiating a terrifying aura.
Before the Doctor could even react,
an indescribably powerful suction erupted from the cuff.
This force seemed alive.
It swept toward the swarming blue particles, as if baring fangs and claws.
The sight was like a great whale inhaling the ocean—unstoppable.
In the blink of an eye,
the dense swarm of blue particles that had filled the sky were drawn in like ants caught in a whirlpool.
Every last one was swallowed by the giant sleeve, vanishing without a trace.
Inside that mysterious space, the blue particles
quickly began to reassemble, attempting to reform into the Doctor’s complete body.
In the blink of an eye, the Doctor’s form reappeared. But the moment he did, he glanced around in alarm.
He found himself in a strange, pitch-black space.
