Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

Chapter 834: Late-Night Pillow Talk

The night was deep and still. After seeing off the last of the guests, Lin Moyu returned to his residence with his four beautiful brides.

The manor, located on the outskirts of Xiajing City, had been gifted to him by the empire.

At his current status, wealth had long since lost its meaning. Anything he desired could be obtained with a word, and the empire would spare no effort to fulfill his wishes. A mere manor was insignificant by comparison.

The moon shone especially bright that night, as though it, too, was celebrating his wedding.

In the courtyard, Ning Yiyi, Mu Xianxian, Mo Yun, and Shu Han sat around a table. Their eyes met and darted away again, each face tinged with a charming blush.

Bathed in moonlight, they looked even more breathtaking than usual.

After a long and eventful day, all four were exhausted.

Resting her chin on her hands, Ning Yiyi sighed, "I'm so tired. This feels more exhausting than clearing a dungeon."

Mu Xianxian smiled blissfully, "Not at all. I thought it was fun. It reminded me of when I was little in the guild, eating together from one big pot."

Having grown up in the Jialan Guild, Mu Xianxian was accustomed to lively gatherings. Whenever guild members went dungeon-running, dozens would travel together, and mealtimes were always bustling and cheerful.

The other three were different. Ning Yiyi, Mo Yun, and Shu Han all came from great families.

While great families offered many privileges, they were also bound by countless rules—some reasonable, others suffocating.

Even now, Mo Yun seemed unable to fully accept reality. She had spent the entire day in a daze.

"Am I really married just like that?"

A slender hand reached over as Shu Han pulled her into an embrace.

"What's wrong, little Yun? Having second thoughts already?"

Mo Yun shook her head, "No. It just doesn't feel real."

Ning Yiyi immediately raised her hand, "I know why! Sister Mo Yun always dreamed of becoming a powerhouse like White God. She never imagined she'd get married."

Shu Han smiled, "Marriage isn't a bad thing. It doesn't conflict with your dreams."

Mo Yun spoke softly, "Once you're married, you have responsibilities. You have to support your husband and raise children. You can't be as reckless as before."

Shu Han couldn't help laughing, "And here I thought you were the most rebellious among us. Who would've guessed you're actually the most traditional?"

Mu Xianxian blinked innocently, "Support your husband and raise children... Big Sister Yun, do you already want to have Moyu's babies?"

Mo Yun's face instantly turned scarlet. She lowered her head, too embarrassed to meet anyone's gaze.

Her usual boldness was completely at odds with the deeply traditional values she carried within.

At this moment, footsteps sounded.

Having bathed and changed into fresh clothes, Lin Moyu walked over beneath the moonlight.

The silver glow lent him an elegant, mature air far beyond his years.

As his gaze swept across them, the four women instinctively lowered their heads, their cheeks reddening like ripe apples.

The wedding ceremony was over.

What came next was the wedding night.

None of them knew who Lin Moyu would spend it with, and the uncertainty left their hearts fluttering with nervous anticipation.

After Lin Moyu sat down, Shu Han—the sister among them—recovered first and poured him a cup of tea, "Have you finished handling your affairs, Husband?"

Though Lin Moyu remained quiet, the aura he carried naturally commanded respect. It wasn't oppressive, yet it inspired deference all the same.

He took a sip of tea before speaking, "I left midway through the wedding to deal with some matters."

"There are secrets in this world known only to a handful of people. Even the elders of your families may not know the full truth."

"Now that we are husband and wife, there are things you deserve to know."

The four women immediately understood the significance of his words.

What Lin Moyu was about to reveal was no ordinary secret.

Even figures like Ning Tairan and Mo Xinghai likely knew only fragments of it.

Otherwise, they would never have qualified to learn the truth.

That realization alone was enough to make them sit up and listen intently.

Lin Moyu continued, "Big sister has left. She has departed from this world."

Confusion appeared on all four faces.

Lin Mohan had left?

Hadn't she attended the wedding earlier? Given her strength, how could she simply disappear?

Then realization dawned on them.

Leaving did not mean death. Nor did departing from this world.

Lin Moyu had deliberately chosen those words. The initial misunderstanding served as preparation, allowing them to grasp the gravity of what he was about to say.

Shu Han asked softly, "Where did Big Sister go?"

"She was taken away. She left this small world and entered the greater world."

Lin Moyu fell silent.

This was the first time he had spoken to them about the greater world. They would need time to absorb what that meant.

Confusion immediately appeared on all four faces.

The greater world—they had never heard of such a thing.

Mu Xianxian, the most innocent among them, asked curiously, "What's the greater world?"

Lin Moyu took a sip of tea before replying unhurriedly, "The greater world... well..."

As he spoke, water rose from a nearby pond and gathered in midair, forming many floating spheres. They varied in size, from tiny droplets to spheres as large as a fist.

"Think of each of these as a world. The smallest are fragment worlds."

"Places like the Abyss, the Dragokind World, and the Immemorial Battlefield all fall into this category."

"Slightly larger and more complete are small worlds—like the one we're currently in."

"A small world is a fully developed world, with a complete system and fully functioning laws."

"Fragment worlds are incomplete and must rely on small worlds to exist.

"Small worlds also differ greatly in size. Some are thousands of times larger than ours."

"Like this larger sphere here—it's still a small world. Countless small worlds, large and small, together form the starry sky known as the greater world.

"If you have any questions, feel free to ask."

Using the floating water spheres as an illustration, Lin Moyu explained the relationship between fragment worlds, small worlds, and the greater world in the simplest way possible.

The concept proved easy to accept.

The four were quick learners and soon grasped the basics.

As their understanding deepened, they began asking questions of their own, and Lin Moyu answered each one openly.

He soon noticed that each of them focused on different things.

Mo Yun, in particular, remained devoted to her original ideals, caring most about how to become stronger.

Under Lin Moyu's guidance, their horizons broadened dramatically.

It felt as though the world before them had expanded, no longer confined to a single corner of existence.

The question-and-answer exchange also eased the atmosphere considerably.

Mo Yun poured him another cup of tea and asked, "Husband, based on what you've said, are the people in the greater world all very powerful?"

Lin Moyu smiled, "Not everyone. There are plenty of ordinary people there as well. It's just that the greater world has far more powerhouses."

With more races and a vastly larger population, it was only natural for more powerhouses to emerge.

Everyone understood that logic.

Mo Yun continued, "Then how powerful are the strongest people in the greater world?"

Lin Moyu understood what she was really asking.

"The Transcendent God realm is the limit that our small world can sustain. To continue advancing, one must enter the greater world."

"Above Transcendent God is True God, followed by God King, then God Sovereign."

"As for realms beyond that, even I am not entirely sure."

He deliberately omitted any mention of unequaled powerhouses. It was far too early for them to learn about such existences.

Much less the old man riding the green ox—someone capable of reducing unequaled powerhouses to ashes with a casual wave of his hand.

That was a being beyond even Lin Moyu's comprehension.

Even Antares, despite his immense strength, neither dared speak the old man's name nor dwell on him in thought.
