Chapter 843: It’s Fine, Numbers Don’t Scare Me
The two of them flew for an entire day before finally reaching their destination.
This was the edge of the deep layer. A vibrant, multicolored barrier enveloped the entire area.
Beyond it stretched a dazzling sea of stars, casting vast sheets of starlight across the land below.
The starlight here was completely different from ordinary starlight. It seemed to contain something extra—something intangible and impossible to describe.
Lin Moyu had seen similar starlight before, and more than once.
When God Sovereign Sword Lily opened a spatial channel, and when the Demons established a cross-world teleportation formation to descend, similar starlight had poured through.
This was starlight originating from the greater world.
Emperor Di spoke in a solemn tone, “You can feel it too, can't you? Ahead lies the barrier between the deep layer and the greater world.”
“This starlight is extraordinary. It carries the power originating from the greater world.”
“What a fascinating power.”
It was obvious that Emperor Di had witnessed this starlight from the greater world before.
Deep longing could be seen in his eyes—a yearning for greater power.
Lin Moyu understood perfectly. Who wouldn't desire more strength, strive for higher realms, and seek greater power?
The people of the small world were like this, and so were the many races of the greater world.
In this cruel world, only those with sufficient power could survive.
Emperor Di pointed to a particular spot on the barrier, “Do you see that?”
Lin Moyu's gaze pierced through the world barrier, discovering a channel formed entirely of starlight beyond it.
“Pass through that channel, and you can truly enter the greater world.”
“I've calculated it. To cross that channel safely, one must at least be in the Transcendent God realm. Even then, an ordinary Transcendent God would still face tremendous danger.”
“If I entered now, it would be a certain death sentence.”
Holding his Bagua Compass, Emperor Di's voice trembled slightly.
He longed to enter, yet feared doing so.
The mixture of emotions was something only he could fully understand.
After gazing at the channel for a moment, Emperor Di turned to Lin Moyu, “In the future, you can leave from here.”
Lin Moyu memorized the location. Before long, he would certainly return to this place.
He then took out Antares's Dragon Bead. It was emitting a faint glow.
Besides allowing Lin Moyu to return, it could also detect the location of other Dragon Beads within a certain range.
Seeing the Dragon Bead in Lin Moyu's hand, Emperor Di was shocked once again.
The fact that Antares had willingly entrusted his Dragon Bead to Lin Moyu was enough to demonstrate the young man's standing in his heart.
Earning Antares's recognition meant Lin Moyu's abilities far exceeded what Emperor Di had imagined.
There was no envy in Emperor Di's heart—only joy that the human race had produced such an exceptional talent.
Using the Dragon Bead, Lin Moyu quickly located the other.
There was not just one Dragon Bead, but two, positioned only a few thousand meters ahead.
Emperor Di pointed toward the terrain before them, “This area is actually a swamp.”
“Most of the time it looks exactly like solid ground, but the moment someone steps onto it, it instantly turns into a swamp and swallows them whole.”
“A Swamp Lizard lives within the swamp. The Sir's Dragon Beads is inside its body.”
Lin Moyu frowned, “Senior, are you saying the lizard swallowed the Dragon Beads?”
Emperor Di nodded, “That should be the case. Both the scale the Sir gave me and the Bagua Compass point toward that lizard.”
“Then we'll just kill it.” Lin Moyu said firmly.
Even if the Swamp Lizard was Transcendernt God 5th tier, Lin Moyu had ways to bring it down.
The Dragon Beads had to be obtained, and he wasn't worried about his safety.
Emperor Di then pointed in another direction, “About a hundred kilometers from here, the Bloodkind have established a camp.”
“How many are there?”
“Over a thousand.”
“And what about the Swamp Lizard's strength? What tier is it?”
Emperor Di shook his head, “I'm not sure.”
“When I calculated the location of the Dragon Beads, I happened to witness the Bloodkind attacking the lizard.”
“They had several Transcendent Gods and overwhelming numbers on their side. The lizard killed a few of them but suffered injuries in the process and eventually retreated into the swamp.”
After hearing the explanation, Lin Moyu had a general picture of the situation.
Since the Swamp Lizard couldn't defeat the Bloodkind, its strength likely wasn't greater than theirs.
If he could gauge the Bloodkind's power, he could estimate the Swamp Lizard's as well.
Lin Moyu thought of a plan, “It seems we'll need some preparations.”
Emperor Di's eyes flickered, and he lowered his voice, “Should we lure the Bloodkind over and let them fight the Swamp Lizard first? I can use the Bagua Compass to create an illusion. It might work.”
Lin Moyu shook his head, “No need for that. We'll wipe out the Bloodkind first, then use them to deal with the Swamp Lizard.”
Emperor Di hesitated, “But there are over a thousand of them. The weakest are level 98, each possessing half-step Transcendent God realm power. Their leaders have already reached the Transcendent God realm.”
Lin Moyu remained unconcerned, “It's fine. Numbers don't scare me.”
“But…”
“Let's go.”
Without giving Emperor Di time to object, Lin Moyu shot toward the Bloodkind camp.
Emperor Di recalled what he knew of Lin Moyu's class.
He remembered the skeletal summons, but they had never seemed particularly powerful.
Against enemies who were all at least at the half-step Transcendent God realm, sheer numbers alone wouldn't accomplish much.
Still, Lin Moyu's confidence was unwavering, so Emperor Di chose to trust him.
As they flew, Lin Moyu maintained an unhurried pace.
“The Bloodkind's plans in the Human World failed. Logically, they should have retreated. Why are they still here?”
Emperor Di thought for a moment, “Perhaps strength is the issue. Half-step Transcendent Gods can't make it through the channel.”
Lin Moyu shook his head, “They have true Transcendent Gods among them. Those individuals should be able to cross. Once on the other side, setting up a cross-world teleportation formation to bring the rest over from the greater world wouldn't be difficult.”
Emperor Di found the reasoning sound, yet he still couldn't understand why the Bloodkind remained.
After a moment of thought, Lin Moyu asked, “Have you ever gone to the channel?”
“No. My calculations indicated certain death, so I never approached it.”
That meant even Emperor Di had no firsthand knowledge of the channel entrance.
Lin Moyu recalled the brief glimpse he had caught earlier. Something about it had felt off.
“I suspect powerful monsters are guarding the channel entrance.”
“The Bloodkind probably attempted to cross. They may even have been attacked by the Swamp Lizard.”
“So they retreated and decided to eliminate the Swamp Lizard first.”
The logic was solid enough that Emperor Di found himself convinced.
Lin Moyu spoke softly, “Whether that's true or not, we'll know soon enough.”
A hundred kilometers was nothing. They arrived in no time.
From ten thousand meters away, Lin Moyu spotted the Bloodkind.
They were unmistakable—winged figures with bamboo-thin bodies and perpetually pale, bloodless faces.
The Bloodkind had gathered together as if resting. Not a single sentry guarded the perimeter.
Their vigilance was nonexistent.
Most likely, they had already cleared out every nearby threat and felt completely secure.
Lin Moyu smiled faintly, “Not a shred of vigilance. What an incompetent people.”
With a single thought from Lin Moyu, the sky darkened.
The Undeath World descended.
A colossal eye, spanning one hundred thousand meters, opened across the sky.
