Necromancers Guide to Magic

Chapter 40 The Uninvited Guest

It was still a sumptuous dinner, during which there was no cynicism from Deron, and Benjamin felt that he was eating well.

My aunt tried to get close to Benjamin again and again, but Benjamin tactfully refused.

"Benjamin, your family should hold a dance party this year. What do you think I will wear? After all, I don't know much about the aesthetics of the German aristocracy." Auntie was drinking red wine while watching Benjamin's expression.

The aesthetics of the German nobility?I'm afraid you don't even understand the aesthetics of the British aristocracy.

Benjamin is not at all disgusted with this way of using relationships, but he doesn't like trying to use it to cover up.

"I don't know. Aunt, you know, I grew up in England." Benjamin pushed the plate, took the scarf off his neck and put it away.

"Well, well, there might be Muggle fireworks at night, if you are interested..."

Benjamin immediately refused, he was not interested in fireworks at all.

In fact, he really wanted to see Muggle TVs and computers, what a miraculous invention, but obviously they didn't have them in his aunt's house.

There is only one old radio.

"Hello, this is the official channel of the Ministry of Magic. This is the host Lulu. The news to be broadcast today is..." A gentle female voice came out on the radio.

"Is this your entertainment?" Benjamin missed his days at Hogwarts. At least he could play wizard chess with his classmates, read books in the library, or study magic in his room.

Nicole listened to the news attentively and said, "Do you think it’s boring? I think so too. I mean, I watched TV once, in a Muggle shop. Photos of the characters and us. The same, it will move. I don’t understand why the Ministry of Magic doesn’t promote TV to magic families."

Benjamin thought for a while and thought that Nicole’s question is very good, why not promote it?

Is it because they are worried that some terrible wizards will directly broadcast their propaganda content?

"Okay, Benjamin, I'm sleepy. You go to bed early too, and I will send you back tomorrow morning!" Nicole rubbed her eyes and was about to go back to the house to sleep.

Benjamin was placed in the largest guest room by his aunt, and he also lived here when he heard that his father came to marry his mother.

The room was quite large and very clean. Benjamin opened the window to see the endless fields.

The countryside at night is always quiet and peaceful.Benjamin could hear the singing of the nightingale and the chirping of frogs.

If he hadn't seen a guy, like a wizard, Benjamin thought it would be a good night.

He was wearing a black robe and cloak, and his face was completely invisible from Benjamin's perspective.

But judging from his figure, he should be a wizard, and he is tall and burly.

In fact, it's okay for a wizard to walk in the field, he can come out for a walk. But when Benjamin saw the man pull out his wand, he felt something was wrong.

The wand was aimed at the ground, emitting a faint light, and Benjamin was not sure if he heard the scream.

"Nana, it's up to you now, you help me to see what happened over there."

Benjamin took the vampire bat out of his arms, fluttered its wings, and flew out.

Benjamin must admit that Nana has gained a lot and its flight speed has slowed down.

Vampire bats can hide their body well in the night, as long as they don't show their sharp teeth.

Sure enough, the wizard did not discover Nana's existence.

Benjamin had already taken out his magic wand, he was muttering words, his wand was trembling slightly because of the fluctuation of magic power.

Soon, the shaking stopped,

This is a very old magic, Benjamin saw it from the collection of the necromancer who adopted him.

Through this magic, the sight of other creatures (except humans) can be borrowed, as long as they do not reject it.

However, because of the huge consumption of mana, this magic is very harmful to the spirit of the magician, and almost no one will use it.

It was also the first time Benjamin used it tonight, and sweat was dripping down his forehead.

Through Nana's eyes, Benjamin could see the man's movements clearly.

There was a creature lying under his feet, not knowing how to describe it.This creature looked a lot like a certain magical creature Benjamin had seen in the library.

After the wizard used magic to solve the creature, he irritably urged the soil and buried the body.

After doing all of this, the wizard disappeared using the shape-shifting shadow. Fortunately, he did not notice the existence of Nana.

After Benjamin was sure he was going away, he crept up from the bed.

I hope everyone else in the house is asleep.

Of course, when Benjamin passed by his aunt's room, he heard a sound similar to a scuffle.

And the aunt's gasping.

There was a similar sound at the door of Deron's room, but Benjamin was sure that the low male voice was definitely not from Deron.

Benjamin opened the door in surprise, and now he is grateful that he is at his relatives' house. They don't have a housekeeper to guard the house.

When passing by the garden, Benjamin finally did not resist the temptation and took away a few unusual plants.

"I'm just taking some casually. It's not stealing. I think it's a transplant."

When Nana saw Benjamin coming, she flapped her wings and flew over, and then circled around Benjamin's head.

"Well, baby, you take me over now."

A gust of wind blew, but the moon above his head was hidden by dark clouds, only half of his face was exposed.Silver moonlight scattered on the ground.

Benjamin pushed the soil away easily and found the body.

Because it just died, there is no smell of rot.

Even its lower body is still bleeding.

"It's cruel." Benjamin could hardly recognize its original form from its appearance, because the entire skin was peeled off.

"Perhaps I should take it home." Benjamin's passion for corpses made him really unable to give up what was in front of him.

Besides, this is most likely the corpse of a magical creature.

Taking it back to feed Nana is also a good choice, right?

Benjamin began to regret that he didn't take a bag out, so he had to take off his robe, then wrapped the whole body inside, faced the cold wind, and rushed back to the room.

After putting the body in the backpack, Benjamin went to sleep.

When Nicole pushed away Benjamin's room early the next morning, he found that his lips were purple and his face was pale, and he passed out.
