Necromancers Guide to Magic
Chapter 47: The Chamber of Secrets Opens
"Look!" Hermione pointed her finger forward, her expression was surprised and scared, her hands were placed tightly under her chin, shaking slightly.
Benjamin and Draco were both attracted by Hermione's cry. After thinking about it, they walked out from behind the pillar in an upright manner, like two students just passing by.
In order not to doubt, Draco even whistled. It's just that the two of them did not attract the attention of the three Gryffindors at all, and they were already stunned when they looked ahead.
On the wall in front of them, something was shining.Harry took the lead and approached slowly, squinting his eyes to make sure in the dark.
Ron subconsciously took a breath, but because of Hermione's beside him, he could only pretend to be calm.
Between the two windows, the wall one foot above the ground was smeared with red, bright red like blood, shining with emblem light under the reflection of burning torches.
The secret room was opened.
After reading this line, Harry couldn't help reading it out.
Be wary of those who are enemies of the heirs.
A total of two lines of words shocked a few people, even Benjamin was no exception.Benjamin noticed that Draco didn't seem so scared.
"What's that—hung down?" Ron said, his voice trembling. He didn't dare to let out the atmosphere now, for fear that he would shake that thing to the ground as soon as he made a sound.
"Let's go over and take a look." Harry suggested quietly. They approached cautiously, and Harry almost slipped: There was a large pool of water on the ground, and he could clearly see his own appearance. And walking behind them, Draco and Benjamin who looked for granted.
"Why are you here!" Harry immediately turned around and said, his tone very unhappy.
Ron and Hermione were shocked, and then they saw Benjamin and Draco who had been with them for a long time.
"Benjamin, you..." Hermione thought for a while, and she didn't see anything before deciding to be her. "Did you not go to the prom? Why are you here?"
Benjamin held back Draco, who was arrogant and wanted to move forward, and then calmly said, "I'm a little uncomfortable today. The prom is too noisy. Draco is going to send me back."
"But how come you are here when you go back?" Ron asked inexplicably, even though he was angrily at the "surprise" that two Slytherins appeared behind him.
"Ron, I think we should look at what is in front of me. It doesn't matter how they came." Hermione immediately stood up to help Benjamin out, and gave him a kind smile.
"Browsing, she's not only a Gryffindor, her parents are Muggles!" Draco said suddenly, and then after Draco scanned the two lines on the wall again, he was silent again. Come down.
"I'll go over and take a look." Harry stopped paying attention to Draco and Benjamin behind them, and wanted a stride.
Ron and Hermione grabbed him, and they approached the sign bit by bit, their eyes fixed on the dark shadow below.
Soon the three of them saw clearly what it was at the same time, and they jumped back in shock and splashed with water.
It was Mrs. Loris, the cat of Filch, the gatekeeper, whose tail was hung on the torch holder. His body was stiff like a wooden board, and his eyes were wide open, staring straight. The three of them stood motionless for several seconds, and then Ron said, "Let's get out of here quickly."
"I also think it is a wise choice to leave here." After a second of surprise, Benjamin calmly reminded him that many things that happened tonight made Benjamin excited. But his reason reminds him that he needs to avoid the limelight now.
"Should I try to rescue—" Harry said not fluently, his eyes twinkling.
"Listen to me," Ron said, "we don't want to be discovered here."
However, it was too late.A low noise, like thunder in the distance, told them that the banquet had just ended.
From the two ends of the corridor where they were, there were hundreds of feet climbing the stairs, and people chatting and laughing happily after they were full. Then, the students pushed and squeezed into the aisle from both ends.
When the people in front saw the cat upside down, the lively and chirping sound suddenly disappeared.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione stood alone in the middle of the corridor, and Benjamin and Draco took a very wise step back and walked into the crowd.(Ron raised his hand and said bitterly, "They, the two of them...")
The students became quiet all of a sudden, squeezing forward to watch this terrible scene.
In this silence, someone read the writing on the wall aloud.
"Those who are enemies of the heirs, watch out! Mudbloods must die!"
A senior Slytherin (Benjamin had seen this man at Malfoy's Christmas party) squeezed in front of the crowd, his cold eyes alive, his usual bloodless face flushed. He looked at the still stiff cat hanging there with a grin on his face.
"You look very calm." Benjamin noticed that after this Slytherin stood up, most people had panicked expressions.
Draco, with a calm face, looked very eye-catching.
Draco glanced at Benjamin curiously. This was the rare opportunity he could perform in front of Benjamin, naturally showing a proud expression.
"It seems that Mr. Ludwig has not reminded you of this legend." Draco said pretentiously, and he even began to imitate the voice of an old man.
It's just that Benjamin didn't respond to Draco anymore, and he turned his eyes on Filch who had rushed over.
"This is what happened! What the hell is going on here, what are you all squeezing here for!" Filch shouted loudly. He really wished to arrest all the students and punished them severely!
Filch was undoubtedly attracted by Slytherin's shout, and he squeezed through the crowd with his shoulder. Then he saw Mrs. Loris, he stumbled back a few steps, and grabbed his face with his hands in horror.
"My cat! My cat! What happened to Mrs. Loris! What happened to it!" Filch's eyes were red, as if he was about to cry.His appearance makes many people feel distressed.
Immediately after Filch saw Harry standing in the forefront, he immediately pointed Harry with his finger and screamed, "It's you! You killed my cat!"
