Chapter 329: More revealing than hiding*
Rumble.
The weather outside had shown no signs of improving. Dark clouds hung heavily over the forest, and from the distant rumble of thunder, it seemed the rain would continue for at least a few more hours.
That was far from ideal.
If the allotted time expired, Luke would be forced to leave. By the time he could return, several days would have already passed in this world.
That was simply how things worked.
With Synthia, the situation had been different. She was safely hidden inside a grotto beneath the surface, a place no one could reach without knowing exactly where to look.
This woman, however, was another matter entirely.
She was clumsy, barely familiar with her surroundings, and they were still stranded in the middle of the forest.
Clatter.
"Ah! It fell."
Luke clicked his tongue and quickly picked up the lantern before any more oil could spill out.
As he had said.
Clumsy.
"Could you hold your curiosity for a moment? I’m trying to think."
He sighed and gestured for her to sit.
"But I’m cold..." The woman looked down at herself. "My clothes are wet."
Luke shrugged. He reached into his storage and pulled out whatever spare clothing he had with him before extending it toward her.
"Here. Wear this."
She accepted the clothes, then stared at them with an uncertain expression.
"But how?"
Luke gave her a flat look.
"Figure it out."
He was soaked as well, so there was little point in remaining dressed. He took off his shoes first, then pulled his wet shirt over his head before removing his pants.
Thankfully, his underwear was still dry.
At least the fabric was of decent quality.
He took out the only pair of pants he had left in his inventory and sat there in silence.
His last trip had nearly emptied his inventory, so the first thing he needed to do after returning was restock everything he might need.
But for now...
System, help me. Carrying this woman all the way to the ocean, which I believe is at least ten miles from here, would be troublesome enough. Doing it in this rain would make it even worse.
[The System understands the circumstances. Based on the current situation, the time limitation may be extended.]
Luke could not help but feel a little bitter.
When it came to Synthia, the System had been nothing but stern. He had needed to explicitly request an exception before it was even willing to consider extending the time limit.
But now...
It had agreed without hesitation.
Thanks, anyway.
He sighed, only to hear the woman speak.
"I feel..."
Luke turned toward her.
She glanced down at the clothes before adding awkwardly, "...this reveals more than it hides."
"..."
Luke stared at her for a moment.
He understood exactly why she had said that.
Wearing a lingerie he bought for Roxanne, she
definitely would feel that way.
Standing there in the dim lantern light, her curly black hair cascaded in damp, tousled waves over her shoulders and down her back.
The red lingerie clung to her like a second skin, the sheer fabric stretched taut over her big, perky bust.
A single dark mole marked the soft swell of her left breast, just above where the thin material cupped and lifted her.
Her nipples pressed clearly against the lace, stiff and visible through the damp red cloth that offered almost no cover at all.
Slight soft layers of her belly pushed gently against the fabric, the lingerie riding low on her hips.
Below, she kept both hands pressed firmly between her thighs, trying to hide what the tiny scrap of red silk left completely exposed.
The curves of her hips and the smooth lines of her upper thighs remained on full display, the wet fabric doing nothing to conceal the shape of her body as she shifted slightly under his gaze.
Luke’s breath hitched as the woman approached him and knelt before him.
He could feel the heat she radiated and the natural fragrance of a woman left him barely any room to move his eyes away.
She was beautiful...and hot.
"Does this dress mean something in your place you come from?" She asked in a low whisper.
Luke exhaled a sigh and finally looked into her eyes. "Forgive me, there is nothing else to offer so I..."
The woman narrowed her eyes before asking, "Do you...want me?"
"What kind of question is that? Do you feel i am giving you signs or something?"
The woman shrugged, "In my tribe, a man and woman desiring each other are thrown in a pit with a wild beast. If the man saves the woman, they could mate and make children."
She leaned closer, "And...you...definitely saved me today."
Luke instinctively backed away. There was something different about the woman. The innocent one has vanished and a seductress has taken her place.
’System...is there something wrong with her? I can’t sense any ill intent but why did her temperament change so suddenly?’
[Host, do you not sense it in the air? The target has accidentally stepped on a Cator Worm.]
Luke frowned and glanced in the direction she went to change...and indeed, there was a yellow fluid on the ground.
’And what do they do?’
[Upon death, they release a pheromone that elevates sexual urges in living beings around them.]
"..." No wonder...this clumsy woman ended up causing this to herself.
"You don’t want me?" The woman asked with her gaze upturned.
Luke took a deep breath...now, how could he explain to her that she was just saying these things under that worm’s effect?
He opened his mouth to say something when suddenly she turned away and said, "Well, I won’t force you..." She deliberately had her butt sticking out his way as she said that.
Moreover, she began to slightly sway it left and right as she said, "I really wanted to reward my savior-"
*Pah*
"Aaah!" The woman cried in pleasure as Luke spanked her ass.
Going above her, he cupped her breast and bit her ear lobe, causing her to moan in pleasure.
Forget it, he was pent up himself so why not.
