Seven Tales: Lanreo's Wyburn Crusader

Kingdom of Lanreo, northeast of the Kingdom of Filato.

The size of the national territory is regarded as second and the population as third and one of the great powers.

The great wizard, Klaus Adler, who is legendarily told that it was with the first Bernhardt that the demon king Zagan was sealed.

He made a mistake with Bernhardt and divided himself, and founded a separate country.

From that background, or traditionally, magic education flourishes and I'm not close to the Kingdom of Filato.

When they heard that Rovisa, the princess of neighboring countries, had succeeded in improving the spell, the upper echelons said they regretted the toothpick.

So if there's a gap, he wants to attack Fillato, but until now, he didn't allow all kinds of factors.

We have swallowed up a number of small countries to enhance our national power, but as a result we have become adjacent to the Kingdom of Serraeno to the east, the Berganda Empire to the north and the Boltner Kingdom to the northwest, all without any insult.

It was a paradox that the kingdom of Filato could not be fought without swallowing, and that there were even more enemies if swallowed together.

There were also often proposals to settle with Fillato, but they were rejected each time.

"What do we have to get along with them? He is the enemy of the great kingdom and the great king of the devil, Lord Klaus."

And a man appeared to spit and summon, gaining the support of the majority.

Even though emotional twists are troublesome between individuals, it is even worse when nations are each other, and it seems that they can no longer be undone.

It is also said that the fact that the Fillato side does not think anything of it is one of the factors that makes him take a hard attitude.

... That is why it was the Kingdom of Lanreo that could not have been most serene in the emergence of the national guest magician Marius Touban.

I desperately invested in intelligence, but I couldn't achieve a ridiculous result.

It seems to be true that he defeated Wyburn, only to finally get the information that he fought Lucas and Nilsson two-on-one and won.

The current king, Henry IV, made his decision after somewhat troubled.

"Do the Wyburn Hunt"

The Liberarts Mountains in the country of Lanreo are famous for their Wyburn habitat.

The reason is to hunt with a handful of elites and let them know that their martial arts will be shouldered by Marius Touban.

"If we're going to hunt Wyburn, we should send out an army"

The opinion was rejected.

The proponent would have had a storm of curse if Princess Bhara had not shown her approval.

Thanks to Bhara, it became an air of "trouble for the princess, too," and the pursuit of the proponents became obnoxious.

Fifteen men, including Lanreo's most powerful wizard, Philip Adler, and his most powerful knight, Boris Bartoš, went out in the end because he was going for as many heads as possible.

And I immediately regretted it.

Wyburn, about ten metres long, he discovered before entering the mountain by chance, had shot firebraces from above.

"[Magic Shield]"

Philip unfolds a magic barrier in front of us.

Wyburn's braces are a type of magical attack that uses magic, so they should have been able to be doubly mitigated with the soldiers' highly magically resistant protective equipment.

"Gu."

Two of the soldiers fall from a burn with a brace that has lost its power.

Wyburn is swirling over the sky and leaning through a gap from where the soldiers' weapons cannot be reached.

"[Ice Javelin]"

Three wizards accompanying him unleash magic at the same time.

It is a high tactic that produces the same effects as synthetic magic by simultaneously using the same magic for the same goal.

This led to the emergence of ice chunks the size of Wyburn, which hit Wyburn, but avoided ice chunks without difficulty.

Wyburn is highly mobile for being inferior to Dragons in attack and health.

Even more resistant to magic, advanced magic is hard to deal with, so it's extremely troublesome.

Supposed to be inferior to dragons, but only compared to dragons.

All in return, five or six soldiers have thrown up giant firebraces that are likely to be swallowed, a turn bigger than earlier.

"[Magic Shield]"

Now that all the wizards other than Philip have reacted in time, a magic barrier has developed and strengthened that is equivalent to synthetic magic.

The giant fireball hit the barrier, getting smaller and half the size as I looked around, but still flew under the soldiers.

"[Waterwall]"

Philip magically built a wall of water and successfully offset the fireball.

It's hard for the soldiers who specialize in the battle of fleshshells with weapons to turn up.

Although we have attacked several times, we have not reached the point of giving a decisive hit by scales.

And even the fact that Wyburn is highly resistant to magic attacks.

The soldiers wanted to go home, but I couldn't blame them for it.

Originally, it would be somewhat easier if I were an archer, but there are no archers present in Lanreo.

Pride as a magic kingdom is interfering with the development of archers.

Lanreo's magicians have had a definite effect compared to archers from other countries, and so far have not been made a major problem.

Lanreo hasn't fought demons since his founding, and there were times when measures have been put behind him in a handful of countries.

Philip and Boris were in exact pain of that stupidity right now.

(I don't know if I can win just to look good. You fight monsters? Are you sure there's no other way?

I've already lost three.

I couldn't have told you not to question it, but if you pull back now, you could still kill a breathing soldier.

Their pride was not tolerated in failing to fulfil their mandate and withdrawing with their companions in sight.

The only measure humans can take is a protracted war.

I turn my eyes for a moment and nod.

"Oh, I'll fight too..."

That's what I said and the soldiers who were falling stood up.

Many were distracted for just a moment, poking at that gap, and Wyburn threw up at the soldiers who had just risen their braces again.

"[Magic Shield]"

The wizards, who were not alarmed, put up barriers at the same time to prevent them.

You didn't have much power, you hit the barrier and misted it.

and at the same time three people, except Philip, fluttered and knelt.

It is a phenomenon of magic depletion.

It's because I've been forced to fight in chant omissions.

Wyburn rushed for those three.

Wyburn's health and magic were different from those of humans.

"[Barricade]"

Philip put up a barrier in front of the three of them loosely, but it was too brittle in one piece.

At the same time as Wyburn storms, the barrier is smashed and scattered.

"Come on!"

Two people who were burned broke in front of the three and got a decent run.

Short screams, flying like paper scraps stirred by strong winds.

Although the wizards were able to avoid it thanks to them, the damage they took was lethal to whoever saw it.

"Evans, Alec"

I don't respond perfectly to Boris' call.

Abominable Wyburn was dancing over again.

The wizards stood up drinking a magic potion with the thought of covering their umbilical cords.

I also emptied a bottle of Philip.

I believed I could only reward my comrades by defeating the Wyburn in front of me.

Wyburn is never stupid, but he's not smart either.

If you are smart, you should return to your nest and call your companions.

And there's no sign of my buddy Wyburn coming to the top.

Then the humans decided they had a chance.

Wyburn has made another run in anticipation of Philip drinking his magic potion.

Apparently, if the wizard showed a gap, he'd come forward, and the human reaction to his decision was quick.

Four soldiers, including Boris, stood before Philip, where all the wizards deployed "barricades".

And Wyburn crushes the barricade, slamming the counterattack in as it slows down.

Boris avoided his fangs on a piece of paper and to his throat, the soldiers clawed and stuck a sword at the base of his forefoot.

When I came here, Wyburn's own propulsion took the form of a vendetta.

Boris' sword pierces his throat, and the other three swords also slit the scales and bleed.

Still, Wyburn's advance did not stop, and the four were forced to lag behind.

There's a blunt sound and the three swords, except Boris, break.

All the wizards supported Boris and still stopped painstakingly though they lagged behind.

Wyburn was desperate and didn't even move a tingle.

"Or did you win..."

Boris' arms were paralyzed and were unlikely to be used for a while.

If the sword had not been a famous sword made of Damascus steel, it must have broken and crushed its body with fangs.

I felt so destructive.

Red blood erupts when Boris pulls out his sword.

Five casualties of war, using potion twenty-eight.

The loss was mild for fighting Wyburn.

"Will this complete the mission? I don't want to fight Wyburn in this number again."

No one disputed Philip's crush.

Everyone had the same thoughts.

There is no one left unharmed who served in the avant-garde.

"Let's strip away as much as we can hold and go home. It's a good material to make gear."

Nor was there any objection to Boris' proposal.

Because we all knew that when we left without stripping, we would be blamed.

Everyone, including Philip and the wizards, carries daggers.

It was closer to the taste of those on the battlefield called "rather than not," but this time I was fortunate.

Because swords other than Boris have been broken and rendered useless.

Wyburn's fangs, nails, and scales each become materials for weapons and protective equipment.

Especially since scales are resistant to blows and magic, they can create powerful protective equipment.

Fillato would have gotten powerful gear, too, it is seen.

It is not just a matter of the country's face that tough means have been adopted.

No one even imagined the remains of Wyburn.

When you finish stripping, you will bury those who died in the war.

In areas where there are monsters eating human flesh, starting with Wyburn, they will definitely be devoured if left intact.

Cut your hair and deliver it to their families.

The "Wyburn Crusaders", who were thus rapidly formed, accomplished their mission and headed home.

Along the way, Boris spoke to Philip.

"How do you feel about Marius?

"You'll find out when you've spilled factually groundless information, and Philato won't be that stupid."

Philip took a cautious attitude.

"I agree. Most importantly, there was something wrong with the Wyburns."

"You fought flashly and you didn't show up. It's not normal."

One of the soldiers who was listening to the two conversations questioned them.

"Um, it's certainly weird that Wyburn didn't show up anywhere else, but how does that tie in with Fillato?

Boris answers with a snort.

"You don't know? Wyburn doesn't live in Philato."

As well as the person who asked the question, the others raised their voices softly.

It is easy to link the emergence of Wyburn, which should not be present in Filato, with the failure to appear of Wyburn, which is present in Lanreo.

It is, of course, dangerous to decide to fly.

"Whatever it is, there is no doubt that Marius Touban is a monster. I want the moderates headed by Princess Barra to do their best. At least while Marius Touban is in Philato."

The soldiers nodded many times when Boris said so.

I don't care if they fight monsters like that who fight their lives and kill multiple monsters who beat them so hard to get the dead out.

This is still unconfirmed information.

Philip said to crush the pompous and solitary.

"I hear Marius Tooban is coming out to the Demon Festival."

A little face can be pointed at Philip.

Going out to the Demon Show Festival is the country's best wizard, namely Philip in Lanreo.

He is a powerful man currently in three consecutive victories, and is held alongside Lucas of Filato and Hemrut of Serraeno by one of the top three players on the continent.

"It's a serious responsibility. As for those who inherit the surname of our ancestor Klaus."

"Please don't tell me that, because I feel too much pressure."

Philip smiled back bitterly at Boris for saying half the encouragement and half the tease.

Klaus married the deceased Princess of Lanreou and changed her surname, but revived the Adler surname by giving the Duke to three men who excelled as wizards among their born sons.

This made it customary for the Adler family to be headed by the Duke, and for the Lord's seat to have the best wizard in the country.

The expectations and the heavy pressures placed on it alone were extraordinary, and all those who lost to Representative Filato at the past Demonic Festival had also been expelled from their homes.

Most of all, it shows the thickness of the layers of the Wizards of Lanreo around where it doesn't last many times.

"As far as I'm concerned, I hope Marius Touban isn't a big deal or that the hardliners are strong enough to grow up."

The worst part about the ending is that you only have enough power to beat Philip, or you don't let him out.

It is difficult for our Lord of the Adler family to change easily.

Philip's predecessors were banished after losing to Lucas.

The bitterness of that time is still smoking inside Boris' chest.

"I hope so, too. It would be more convenient for the Adler family to replace him as a fillator."

Philip answers with a mixed look of pain and remorse.

Philip, Boris and the other soldiers were only the people of Lanreo, and their subjectivity was everything.

I didn't even think that anyone could have been Adler's predominant for Philato, and that it would be preferable not to be replaced in the current situation where we see ominous signs, etc.
