Fifteen Tales "Holdia"

From the kingdom of Filato there is the Kingdom of Holdia to the west.

It is one of the largest and most populous of the countries present on the Tariant continent.

Unlike Lanreo, Holdia was not unfriendly with Filato apart, but in recent years trade friction had gradually begun to lean towards those whose emotions were dangerous to each other.

The beginning of the incident was when Filato launched an austerity policy because of the demon attack and began to reduce imports from other countries.

Imports from Holdia, which did not produce the essentials, declined naturally, and Holdia began to record a large deficit in its dealings with Fillato.

So it wasn't surprising when it came to being attacked.

"Are you going to attack me this time of year? I heard the king is a madman now..."

On the border with Holdia, there was no one to answer the crush of Carno, the garrison commander at Fort Valdera.

The senior officers were gathered in the operating room in the fort, but everyone could not hide their confusion.

It is an implicit understanding that the month before and after the Demon Show Festival has gone on for years not to wage war.

I'm not obsessed with this because Fillato is peacefully bogged down, but because breaking it makes relations with all the other countries worse.

Is it the will of the queen who took office a few years ago and became known as the "Mad King” sooner or later?

"Fair enough. The messenger of the declaration of war returned yesterday, and it will take three days from there to reach this point across the border. Reinforcements are coming for about five days, so you just have to hold on for two days a day."

Together they snort at the powerful words of Carno.

Philato's defence system consists of building fortifications on the border, placing a certain number of permanent troops, and once attacked, sending reinforcements out of neighboring areas and the King's Capital.

It was because of the indiscipline that neither the army should cross the border until the messenger of the declaration of war crosses the border, but the Holdian army does not seem to have broken this one either.

(Then we have a chance)

Even though Carno, with only 30,000 soldiers under his command, was strong, there were grounds.

This is not the first time Holdia has attacked me.

From past experience, it should be tomorrow at least for the enemy army to get here, and we have to put our soldiers to rest in order to fight.

Reinforcements from the neighborhood will be here the day after tomorrow, and they won't be where the fort strikes.

But the calculation was shattered.

"General Carno! Oh, my God!

One of the soldiers changed his blood phase and jumped in.

"What's going on?

"Ho, the Holdians are here, the Holdians are here!

"Hey, what is it!?"

With water in his sleeping ear for Carno and for others, he literally jumped up.

"Yes!

"Did they even break the insanity of declaring war?!?"

"What were the intelligence soldiers doing!?"

At once there will be confusion.

Holdia's marching speed was so insane.

A soldier who came running in explained the situation while holding onto it.

"Well, that's... they don't have a supply unit."

For a moment, he calmed down and then wrapped himself in a louder cry.

"Impossible!?"

"Are you insane!?"

It is true that without the supply units carrying supplies, the march speed would increase significantly, and it is no surprise that we arrive early in the day.

But it is not sane shabbat such as waging war without supplies.

Not to mention attacking an enemy country.

"Are you sure you don't have a supply unit?

Soldiers snort at Carno's inquiry.

It would be incredible for him if he hadn't been sure with his own eyes.

"So how did you get here?

"Yes. Drinking river water, hunting beasts, picking fruit."

"I see. I've attacked you many times in the past. You mean you've looked into geography and ecosystems properly"

Carno's speculation did not garner anyone's support.

"But do you do it normally? Probably a slave soldier-centric army as an example..."

Carno did not answer the staff member who had questioned him.

Even he is half-hearted.

In Filato, the right to live as a person is recognised, to say nothing but a vicious criminal slave, and whoever abuses him without darkness is punished, but Holdia is not.

It was the best exporter of slaves on the continent and only existed below the equivalent of slaves and other consumables.

Examples of soldiers running for plunder since history have been elusive.

But from the outset, the outrage of sending troops out without supplies, no, the foolishness is probably unprecedented, to say the slave troops are the center.

And Carno figured out that there was some kind of karaki in the army that had succeeded or invaded it.

"All right, move to full military alert. Those are the ones who have trampled this far without supplies. Fight with the intent of an elite opponent, not a slave soldier"

"Ha!

"It doesn't change the point that the harder we try for two days, the better the rescue will come. We're stuck!"

"Ha!"

Those who heard the decree of Carno regained their composure and rushed out to their quarters.

With some anxiety in the hands of the enemy commander, who sent his troops without replenishment to the enemy country without disintegrating them.

"Attack Fillato"

I was surprised at what Queen Asteria said.

It was a period of two weeks after the Demonic Festival, and there was an implicit understanding that there should be no engagements at this time.

Breaking this could, in the worst case scenario, turn all the countries on the continent against their enemies.

As Holdia, who once fought against all the countries of the continent and had lost half of its national territory at the time, is something that must be avoided.

"Heh, sire, what did you say?"

As a result of a silent impersonation with his gaze, he asked if Oswald, one of the inmates, was afraid.

"Don't say it again, you old scumbag. Attack Fillato now. Target is Fort Valdera, Commander Ignato."

Spin a curse where absolute zero degrees of pressure and poison intersect with poorly understood subordinates.

There are countless things that Asteria has been said to possess comparable beauty to her neighbor's princess, Rovisa, but she has never been praised.

There is no emotion or plumage in the blue eyes, and by the time it is musical, it is just said that beautiful voices are poisons and needles that determine the hearts of others.

"Oh, wait, if we attack at this time, relations with other countries will deteriorate"

It was the Prime Minister who raised the voice of protest.

Well said, but shattered by the invisible whip emitted by Asteria.

"It's your job to do something about it, Prime Minister. If you can't, I'll do it, so give me back my job and lose it."

The Chancellor attempted to argue even more with the importance of the country.

"How do you rule? If you want to devote an unwanted amount of effort, why not attack from the beginning?"

Asteria's well-shaped eyebrows jumped.

"You can explain it from scratch to scratch, but you don't understand 10%, only the objection is to the scumbag in public. Don't you even realize that your incompetence is the reason why national politics tends to lag behind?"

The Chancellor was flashed for a moment by the slander of his lord, who only seemed to slander him, but returned to me immediately to fight back.

Then why did you entrust me to the Chancellor?

"Because there's only less trash than scum. Tax thieves."

When Asteria tells him to throw it away, he looks around.

Everyone leaned down, distracted by the cold of the words and the pressure of the eye light.

The number of human beings that have been solemnly proclaimed since the current queen took office does not drop ten or twenty.

If an effort called “bloody reform” had failed, there must have been a conspiracy about ten times.

Even though they call me a madman or a bloodstained madman, it is because I have succeeded in all my reforms and enriched my country greatly that there are a large number of people who follow me in fear and dislike.

After a while after everyone had been silent, Ignato, who had been nominated as commander, issued an inquiry.

"I'm afraid I do. Attack Fort Valdera, and obey if ordered, but is there no purpose for Your Majesty? Please tell me about this strange person."

"The purpose is Marius Touban."

Ignato asked overlapping, whispering for a moment at the queen's answer.

"Marius-Tuban? Was there a curse against him?"

"We'll see how powerful he is in the army. The result determines the future of this country."

Asteria answers without even trying to hide her frustration with her subordinates who cannot follow her.

"Where you attacked Valdera in the great army, will someone come to Marius?

"Coming. Valdera is not just a defense hub. There is Shardapur, the main impulse of distribution in the west of Fillato. So, Ignato, leave today."

"Hey, what the hell!?"

There was a frenzy on the ground, but this was impossible.

Army is an organization that takes time to prepare, and it makes sense that if you increase the size of your deployment, you will also need more time.

"Gear? What about the barracks?

"The baby, you?

I was not even frightened by the words of my contemptuous master.

"War is not something you can think of!

"Soldiers revolve around slaves. I'll give you the gear at the border. Get your own food at the scene."

I saw something incredible, my gaze concentrates on Asteria.

"Your Majesty... you tell me to fight without replenishment!?"

Asteria replied without moving one eyebrow to her natural words.

"What have you seen in the battle of the Philats of the past?

We just didn't follow our promises when we missed the usual order to make it all self-sufficient.

If you remember geography, you know where you can eat and drink, and you can invade without starving.

One characteristic of Asteria was that it was able to persuade overly irrational orders.

In the end all those who tried to praise them were disputed, and the soldiers were formed.

But it's not all Asteria's power.

A lot of people thought of a way to get Asteria to take full responsibility and exit in order to avoid turning the whole continent into enemies if this failed.

They were just afraid of the act of increasing the number of enemies, and were not interested until I could say anything about the use of slave soldiers in the same way as stone abandonment.

Because from Holdia as a whole, the loss of 100,000 to 150,000 slaves cannot be a major blow.

Asteria wasn't the only one who thought that it would be cheap to know the true price of Marius.

After the emissary with the declaration of war left, Asteria declared against the soldiers gathered.

"Soldiers. Ravage Philato. That way, the prosperity will remain in your mind. Break it, burn it, kill it."

"Ooh!"

The collected slave soldiers boiled down to the encouragement of Asteria.

They are even more ignorant and uncultivated than ordinary soldiers.

I was anxious when it came to the invasion without replenishment, but told him that Asteria was confidently convinced of the success and promised to flourish, so I immediately turned my thoughts to my future outlook.

Holdia's treatment of slaves is at the bottom among the countries of the continent, but only one exception exists.

That is if you have achieved merit in the war.

Those who have made great achievements are freed from slavery, and are born into officers to promise riches and honors.

Those "success stories" serve as commanders of the slave squad, so the slaves are encouraged to be like the superiors in front of them.

The slaves were greatly aroused when the queen, who is a heavenly man to them, was told immediately that this operation was difficult but in return for a great deal.

There was no one but those who were seen to realize that the Queen had seen some of them in a meaningful way.

Thus began the Holdian army's electric invasion of Fillato.

The Hordian army, which invaded at a rate that exceeded the forecasts on the part of Fillato, attacked Fort Valdera within the day of its arrival.

Marius was in the midst of eating at the camp the night he left in rendezvous with reinforcements 20,000 from the King's Capital when he heard about the fall of Fort Valdera.

Below guardian Carno, it was a tragic defeat that 20,000 strong will die in battle.

All those who surrendered were killed, and fewer than a thousand fled.

Marius felt nothing when he heard of a human death he had never met, but he was angry when he heard that all those who had surrendered had been killed.

With tears of anger, I could only empathize a little with the soldiers who vowed to foe.

"But if Fort Valdera were to fall, the measures to be adopted would be different"

Yardabels, who was dispatched as much as possible with Marius as General of the reinforcements, was just as calm as he could still tide his cheeks with anger and remorse.

"You think Lord Marius has never served in the army and killed anyone? With all due respect, may I ask His Majesty to return to the King's Capital?"

The original purpose for which Marius was dispatched was restraint and was considered fine nonetheless because it was intimidating.

But Yardabells says the fort is more than a change of policy, it's only for those who can't kill people.

Besides, there are expectations that Marius would magically be able to go back and forth in an instant.

I wasn't hairy enough to be hostile, but Marius nodded, angry at Holdia for what she had done.

I went back to the royal palace using "teleport" to get the king to give me permission to join the war.
