Lorraine's Subordinate Training

"... for now, from the basics of Subordinate Mage Monster Tamer, are you ready? Lorraine"

Ingo said so in the woods near the village of Hathaler, Rent's hometown.

Even though it's close, it's a pretty deep dive, and it's definitely a place that can't be reached by ordinary people, but it's no particular problem for me, Lorraine and Ingo.

I have a skill as a magician, and Ingo has a subordinate who protects himself.

Lindbroom immediately remembered that Ingo, Lent's stepfather, was a subordinate who was following him as a subordinate, but now he had a giant slime with him.

It is a species called the Grand Slime and is roughly the same height as an adult.

And, of course, I've never heard of such a subordinate as a subordinate.

If it's a slime, it's medium-sized… it's said to be about the size of an adult's waist.

But as if such common sense had been placed somewhere, there was indeed a large slime there, following Ingo's orders.

It was a very strange sight.

I'm sure this is an experience worth a thousand dollars because such ingos will teach me the art of followers from hand to hand.

I nod to Ingo.

"Yes, I'm fine. However... first of all, I think it would have been better if I had taught you at home."

In the meantime, basic knowledge is a common pattern in the practice of magicians. At that stage, there is no particular danger, so it is normal to do it in a normal room of a normal building.

Regarding the subordinate technique, although what Ingo is wearing is special, I thought it was from the samurai first, but it was a question of death.

But Ingo says.

"Lorraine probably has most of the knowledge she needs for a subordinate, right? I told you about the type and characteristics of monsters and their weaknesses....."

"If you say so, it's the basic knowledge you should acquire as an adventurer in the first place, so it's in my head...."

"Mm, is that so? The bronze adventurer who came to our village the other day seemed to lack that kind of knowledge."

"... I don't know how much of an adventurer I was, but it's certainly not unusual to say that if it's about the copper class. Few people have the feeling that just remember the monsters that appear in the labyrinth that are used as hunting grounds."

Since knowledge and investigative skills are also tested in the bronze exam, there are not enough people to say that they don't know at all, but some people know that they don't need to go further to acquire the necessary knowledge.

Or most of them...

Because there are many who move in the direction of training simple arms rather than acquiring knowledge.

Still, I can manage to pass the bronze exam.

However, if you go to the silver exam, it will be quite severe.

Not absolutely impossible, so the lack of knowledge of the adventurer is still not zero.

From that point of view, Lent is quite special.

Knowledge and technology are comparable to silver.

Well, since you are often with me, I have some knowledge that is unusual.

It's also Zara reading a technical book at my house.

"... I'm totally sad or something. Well, it's one idea to just remember what you need to remember, but I feel like you'll be stuck as an adventurer someday."

Ingo said so, so I nodded.

"Yes. In fact, many adventurers who suddenly die one day live with that kind of out-of-the-box feeling. However, it's also a problem to get too close to the extra stuff, so it's hard to balance around there."

"I guess so. Anyway, Lorraine, unlike that adventurer, knows enough. That's why I thought it would be good to fly around."

"I know what you're talking about... so can I wear it?

"You'll be fine. I'm a little worried... Lorraine has magical eyes, isn't she? If you use it, you should be able to wear it quite quickly..."

"... you know very well that I have magic eyes."

That's what I told Lent, and I'm not hiding it in Malt City, but I'm not listening.

Speaking of father-in-law, I didn't think I'd tell Ingo my information without my permission, and I wondered where it came from.

Ingo laughs at this.

"It's not from Rent. It's Garb. She has an extraordinary ability to observe....."

"Is that him... I see. That's convincing."

"Am I right?

"But what does it mean that if you use that magic eye, you can wear it quickly...?

"I'm not so familiar with the other subordinates' techniques, but do you remember when I told you that the techniques I'm wearing require complex magic manipulation?

"Yeah... oh, is it important to observe that magical movement?

"That's what I'm saying. Especially when it comes to passing magic through the monster's body. Once you know it, you should be able to learn the basics by practicing it. Well, honestly, it's the first time I've ever taught anyone, so I can't say for sure. I was taught how to do that the fastest, so I just wanted to teach you how to do it."

"I see. Thank you very much."
