Episode 39: New Adventurer Lent and the Labyrinth of the New Moon

The pig ghost "Oak", as the name suggests, is a creature with a pig's head, a human being - that is, a demon, living in the woods, or in the Labyrinth of the Crescent Moon, if you call it around this city of Malt.

I mean, if you got a request about the pig ghost Orc, it would mean going to the Labyrinth of the Crescent Moon, or going into the woods and looking for them and knocking them down, but it was self-evident which I would choose.

Anyway, the pig ghost "Oak" who lives in the woods often lives in herds, and there are also few solids who live long enough.

For this reason, it is assumed to be strong compared to popping up in the labyrinth.

This is true, in fact, so much so that the pig ghost "Orc" that emerges in the woods sometimes even sets up mass warfare.

He is a bad opponent to fight solo.

But the labyrinth pig ghost Oak, as it looks, is very retarded.

I don't have the idea of working together in a herd to fight, etc.

Furthermore, the woodland pig "Oak" may be armed with something even normal, but the labyrinth pig "Oak" is very poor in attack defense to the extent that it wraps up a piece of shredding.

This logic actually applies to goblins as well, but it is most pronounced in the case of the pig ghost Oak, which is why the hunt for the pig ghost Oak in the woods is not fit for it.

That's why I dive into the labyrinth.

That's why the entrance to The Labyrinth of the Crescent Moon, which I haven't visited in a long time, was very busy.

It is the difference between cloud mud and the Labyrinth of the Water Moon, which I used as a hunting ground until yesterday.

The reason for this is that hunting in this labyrinth is more efficient, whether it's running out or more.

I just need one condition, and that would mean that the adventurer is not a solo.

Because in this Labyrinth of the Crescent Moon, it is not uncommon for demons to strike with multiple bodies.

The road is about twice as wide as the Labyrinth of the Water Moon, and it's really easier to be surrounded when you fight alone.

It is also said that the demon itself is slightly more powerful than the Labyrinth of the Water Moon, because the Labyrinth of the Crescent Moon is superior to the Labyrinth, but we do not know if that is true.

I walk toward the entrance and the entrance, in the face of the people who seem to be cured and chatty, perhaps party-by-party.

Nothing, they're not playing.

We're making final confirmation of the operation, like what each member will stand around inside the labyrinth.

Having said that is not uncommon for adventurers who have had quite a bit of experience, but in this city of Malt they do it even when they run out.

This is what the urban malt veteran adventurers have spread over the years in the tunnels.

Because there is a clear difference in survival rates between doing this and not doing it, I have taught you to always consult firmly about standing inside the labyrinth when rushing out.

That's taking root, I guess.

From what I hear, those who still do that in other parts of the world are pretty much none of them in the rush, so I think the urban malt adventurers are the ones who work hard for it.

By the way, I was slightly concerned about my gaze as I passed next to the adventurer parties.

It's not like they're watching, but few adventurers dive into the Labyrinth of the Crescent Moon by themselves without party members.

Not at all, because it is possible for those who have enough arms to cope even when surrounded by demons.

Speaking of which, what about me... what do you say?

It's subtle.

I believe it absorbs demonic powers and becomes quite strong, but that's just a sense of judgment against the bone man Skeleton, Goblin, and Slime.

You wouldn't know how far you can go against the pig ghost Orc and the like, which is a superior demon than those, unless you actually tried.

That said, in the Labyrinth of the Crescent Moon, familiar demons emerge, such as the Skeletons, if they are shallow hierarchies.

Things like the pig ghost Oak don't come out unless you dive a little deeper.

In the meantime, it would be a good idea to gradually dive deeper while ascertaining strength in shallow hierarchies.

With that in mind, I entered the labyrinth.

◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇

- I knew you'd just say party recommendations.

For a while I dived into The Labyrinth of the Crescent Moon, and I deeply thought so.

Because right now, I'm fighting surrounded by demons.

Not so powerful demons.

Instead, for me, I fought as many times as I could no longer say with my friends, a bunch of skeletons and slimes, only about two and three of each.

But even to that extent, it still wins as easily as it has ever been, which was unlikely.

In The Labyrinth of the Water Moon, when we were dealing with them one-on-one, we were able to win instantly by poking at each weakness, but when we came at each other in multiple bodies, we couldn't find a gap inside to poke at that weakness.

Each demon makes an uninterrupted attack on me, avoiding it, so it's tough first, and waving the sword doesn't hit the target inside.

It's tough to just have to hold onto it plain and scrape it.

If you go into battle without thinking about consumption, you might be able to win close to instant killing, but my aim is the pig ghost Orc.

Running out of fuel when fighting the pig ghost Orc, who has exhausted his magic and chi here, is the end of the line.

This will be the place to work hard as it keeps warm.

Keep it under control with enough reinforcement to recover while walking, and don't fight like a one-shot special.

Well, you can still fight enough, or you're going down one by one, and at the end of the day, you're coming almost intact and victorious, so there won't be a problem.

Slime's acid bullet (Acid Blitz) took a little on the robe, but it didn't melt, so I could confirm that the armor was durable, and the weapon didn't spill one blade.

I think I can even fight the pig ghost "Oak" for this...

With that in mind, I only retrieve the demon stone from the defeated boner Skeleton and Slime and stick it in the leather bag I put on my hips.

Obviously less volumetric than the amount I put in it, but this is a magical item, and it can be done because the interior space has been expanded considerably.

It was originally something I had all my life, and it was expensive there, but if I save five years, there's nothing even adventurers like me can't buy.

The capacity to enter is not that great either.

At best, is it about five or six regular size backpacks?

There's no problem collecting only demon stones.

Expensive stuff seems to get about one dragon in it, but there's no way you can buy that stuff upside down, so it's none of my business right now.

I'd love to work hard one day to be able to get my hands on something like that... but it's another dream of my dreams.

I don't want to quit chasing my dreams, though.

I'm done retrieving all the demon stones, and I'm moving on through the labyrinth.

The Labyrinth of the Crescent Moon is of the type where the internal structure changes dramatically from hierarchy to hierarchy, and certainly the next hierarchy is….

It was time to step in where I had never been before, so I looked forward to seeing it and headed down the stairs to the next level.
